Wednesday: Mid-week! That’s good. It was a cloudy start to the day yesterday and then the sun came out. By afternoon, though, the sky got dark and we had storms (even hail) It’s spring, so guess we nave to expect that.

Let’s make it a wonderful Wednesday.

HUGS and stay safe.

Darlene: Will have to check on the ones made from socks! Hadn’t seen that.

Sandra: Yes, gloomy here, too. Not good for the mood.

I need to get busy and make some masks, too. I found some material downstairs. Not too comfortable though. It's stiff. I also might use some old jeans and line anything with some really soft material (cotton underwear that wouldn't work under jeans). I have also seen a video on making some with socks. Those might make some cute ones because I have cute socks that don't fit my big feet and dig into my legs. I could line them if I made some with them.

My friend is coming by tomorrow to bring me a cake. She is also stopping at the store for a couple things I need and a couple I would like possibly. I need to finish reading a booklet that Pastor sent out so that maybe we can discuss it. I am going to take a couple TV tables out back in the sun and the couple outside chairs out there so that we can sit at a distance from each other but still be able to talk. Come 12:57 tonight I will no longer be 68. I cannot believe I am that old.

Tuesday: Busy w/laundry, making masks. WE had ordered masks about 2 mths. ago and haven’t gotten any. So decided it is necessary to make some. That’s what I did. Turned out well.

Sun for part of the day, so did get to sit outside and soak up some Vit. D. That was lovely. And of course, Miss Lilly have her very early morning walk.

Let’s make it a thoughtful Tuesday.

HUGS and stay well, stay safe.

Darlene: Sorry your gut was a problem. *SIGH**

Glad your roast turned out well.

Hope you’re feeling better.

HUGS

I was going to head outside today, but my gut stopped that. Hoping it will stay okay tonight. I fixed a small roast (very small) on the stove. I haven't done that in years, since I always had problems doing it right and have been doing it in the crock pot for a long time. This one turned out really good. I am happy with it.

I was trying to get on a video art class this afternoon, but for the 3rd time I couldn't figure it out. So I joined 3 of the groups the corporation has on Facebook. One is school or something like that, one is for beginners and beyond, and one is for all mediums in art. The 2nd two post pictures and then people can comment to help you get better. I don't know what the 1st one does. Can't see what they do until you join the group.

I was trying to find some storage bins to put some things in today (without much luck since all I found were too large) and found a few small watercolors that I did several years ago. I wish I could paint like that now. Now I can't draw or paint at all.

Monday: Quiet day. On line services. Relaxed a little. Made a couple no-sew masks. Pretty good.

Today . . . . more of the same! Just going to make it a point to get outside for a walk w/Miss Lilly. Always get out there early so there is literally nobody out.

HUGS and have a mindful Monday. Gratitude!

Sunday: Clara had a good rest. Went back in last night. No word on her girlfriend in MI. (She’s a nurse and is hospitalized w/the virus).

HUGS and blessings on your Sunday.

Darlene: Exactly right . . . the liquid doesn't go into the lungs but . . .. if it does it would cause aspiration pneumonia.

Don't think the warm water and hot drinks will stop the virus. The idea is it is supposed to keep it from getting that bad. Of course, I don't know how it would help with something in the lungs, either, since it doesn't go into the lungs. That, in itself, would cause pneumonia.

Saturday. Well, another at home Saturday morning date. Nice, but miss the diner!

Clara got to go home for a few hours yesterday to pay bills. She got a text from a friend of her that is a nurse in MI (she is the daughter of neighbors we had in IL). She contracted the virus, and is hospitalized. Clara feels so bad for her. I do, too. It is just impossible to think how long it is going to take for these young people to get over this psychologically (well, us ‘olders’ too, but especially daunting for the young).

Here’s to a peaceful Saturday that hopefully provides some sunshine!

Blessings, stay safe, stay well.

Darlene: Glad you got some of the things you needed for you and Orzo. It is pretty impossible right now to do the usual shopping. But as long as the necessities are gotten, that’s important.

People who feel invincible should look @ what those Drs. and nurses see in the ERs every day right now.

NO, warm water or hot drinks are NOT going to stop the illness . There’s nothing wrong with that, but it is not going to affect the mucous that happens . . . but it can be soothing.

Sandra: OMG. It just makes me so mad that people are so utterly creless with their own lives and exposing others as well. **SIGH**

People around here are arguing constantly against everything that the governor says. Now it is the recommendation that they wear some kind of mask when they go out anywhere. Then we get all these people who say they are not older than 65 so they don't have to do any of it. No staying home, no social distancing, and definitely no masks. If they would look at who is getting this virus here, it is more of people in their 50s than in their 60s or above and all ages are affected. But they say they are okay and nothing will ever get to them.

Sandra, I am sorry to hear about your sister.

I don't know if it is a scam going around, but my friend sent me something where a doctor said that the mucuses get in the lungs and harden and that is what is causing the problems with COVID so to drink the warm water or hot drinks. I was drinking hot tea all the time, but my water is usually icy cold. Now I drink room temperature water and still the hot tea.

Another party this one was on my street so much noise DH called the police. If people don't take this virus seriously we will never get rid of it.

Talked with my sister this morning she is very sick again. Her lungs are getting worse.

Glad you got your honey Darlene.

Barb how is Clara doing?

Both take care and stay healthy.

I hope you were able to talk to Clara today.

I ventured out to do some shopping today. Got the honey I needed and some meat and veggies. Also some tea and soup for me and cat food for Orzo, plus got some seed starter when I got the honey. Didn't do the usual kind of shopping because I just didn't want to go over where the roast was on sale. Just got what they had at the one store. I still have to find a grow light for the seeds/seedlings and I'm hoping they will have them at the grocery store when I get the food pantry gift card they said they will send. Don't know how I can get it otherwise.

I'm back to staying in, now.

Friday: Well, glad it’s Friday. Just continuing on the decluttering. And DH and I have played a few games of Monopoly. Kind of fun!

Didn’t hear from Clara yesterday, but I know she’s off today. So hoping to talk to her.

Getting an early morning in w/Miss Lilly. Nobody out, so it’s good.

HUGS, stay well, stay safe and have a wonderful Friday!

Darlene: I am in the same boat. Not a real fan of our Gov., but . . . . he is really going to bat to keep us as safe as possible. That is certainly a difficult job right now!

Stay well, stay safe.

Sandra, that is very good about your numbers. Mine will be bad because I can't get things that are good for me to eat, just mainly carbs.

I didn't get my honey yet. It was cold today, so I just stayed in. It's supposed to stay fairly cold tomorrow with possibly more snow. Then finally warm up on Saturday. So I have only had one cup of tea.

People are arguing so much about this virus. The governor asked for supplies so that they will be ready for more affected and people were attacking because he asked for them, saying the infected are decreasing, not increasing. How can they not understand that just because the infections aren't doubling every two days, but are doubling every 5 days means they are increasing still? I don't know what they are teaching people anymore. I don't like our governor, but I appreciate that he is being proactive and not waiting until everyone has serious cases and we don't have enough hospital beds and ventilators to treat them.

Darlene: We've been dealing with the closures for about 2 weeks now. It's difficult!

For sure, I am glad I have my hearing aides now. I would hate to have to wait as long as it's going to take for them to be manufactured again.

How can people be so stupid to endanger their little 4-year-old like that?! It is just selfish for people to be doing things like that, possibly exposing many others to COVID. I hope they take the child to foster care somewhere until those parents go through some program to make them more responsible for their actions.

They have the closures of non-essential businesses around here. For many things it is not a complete closure if they do something like order online or by phone and you pick up at the curb, but some aren't closing at all and are not restricting how many people are in the store. It is bad enough that some of the essential businesses are being used as an outing for people rather than just to get essentials. So there have been 9 businesses ticketed in the last couple of days. Or anyway, 9 citations given. Two of the businesses have been given more than one. I am almost out of honey, so I am trying to figure out where I want to pick some up from, the grocery or the hardware store. The one grocery that has a kind of honey I like doesn't have curb pickup and the hardware store carries that kind, though a little more expensive. The other groceries have other kinds of honey and curb pick up, so I could go there, especially if I need something else from the store. I just don't want to go inside the stores.

Barbara, I'm glad that your hearing aides are helping so much.

Both of you stay in and stay safe.

Sandra: OH that is terrible that those parents used such lousy judgment. I am not sure what I'd do in the position of seeing/such a party going on, but I think right now, I'd have called too. Just too much of a chance of infecting a LOT of people.

OH I am so pleased w/my hearing aides. Makes a world of difference, literally! It is so different not to have to strain to hear someone.

The next street over to mine a family threw a birthday party for a 4 year old with about 60 people I could hear the music and the kids playing. From what I heard someone called the police and the home owners were arrested. It is mandatory in the state of California to stay home except for for groceries and get medicine. In my county there are 900 cases and 30 deaths.

Barb are you use to your hearing aids?

Darlene: Some people really are not 'getting' how serious this illness is! The # of cases are not going to level off or flatten till people start staying home and doing what they can to stop the spread of this virus.

Good luck w/the groceries. Flour and rice and beans are now, I guess, on the list of things being hoarded. *SIGH*

We had sun today and will have tomorrow, then Thursday it is supposed to rain and snow. Tired of that. It will only be around 40 for 2 days, then start to warm up again.

People are really being stupid about this virus. Colorado is on Stay at Home order for the entire state and people are not supposed to be coming into the state from other states, but people who are in other stay at home states are coming here in hoards and going to the closed parks and running around all over them, not even keeping distance between themselves and others. They interviewed some woman last night and she said as long as they are on this stay at home thing and don't have to go to work, they are going to travel to Colorado and enjoy themselves. Well, we are having cases of COVID jump by several hundred a day and today 19 people died from it. I don't know why so many deaths are happening a day. Maybe because of the thinner air?

I was just reading something that said even if you have masks on and gloves there is no way to protect yourself from the virus if you go to the store. I do need something if I am going to be making my own bread and for my tea, so I guess I will try the order and pick up at the curb service. They said it is especially a problem if you have a cold and I have one of those.

I am glad things are going better for Clara.

Sandra, I'm glad you found food for Tigger.

Tuesday: Well had a nanosecond of sun yesterday, but at least though it was cloudy otherwise, we didn’t have precipitation.

Got the bedroom deep cleaned! Happy about that.

Have a terrific Tuesday.

Hugs, blessings and stay safe and well.

Darlene: Cloudy and drizzly here, too, today.

Thank you, Clara is doing a little bit better. Getting a little more rest. Unfortunately sounds like they’ll be on lock down for another 2 weeks. I HOPE not, but they’re ready.

HUGS

Sandra: Oh boy, your DIL needs to realize how serious this is! Glad you’re turning her away, though. Best to do so .

Glad you found some of Tigger’s food!

Another boring day. Yes was a nice day sat out on the deck to get some sun.
My DIL keeps coming over and I have to turn her away. I tell her by phone she is not suppose to be out visiting. I just don't get why some people don't take the virus seriously.
Everyone stay safe and well.
Finally found some of Tigger's food.

We haven't had the storms since Friday night, I think, but it keeps being cloudy. I don't know if we got the rain this afternoon or not. I didn't hear any.

I have been trying to do Day 3 of my art challenge I got on. I am trying to do Orzo in the front window (on the table in front of the window) next to my big Christmas cactus. I am even using a "drawing cats and kittens" book for help. No matter what, I cannot draw the cat. I just don't know how I can do that right. I have always liked to draw and paint, but now it is just aggravating me because nothing comes out. Plus when I try to fix it the eraser won't erase, but smears it. All my erasers feel like they have been frozen.

I hope that Clara takes your advise. I know that lack of water has often caused me to have dizzy spells. I know the health care workers are short staffed now and having to work long hours, but it's necessary to protect their health as much as possible anyway.

Stay safe.

Monday: Rainy, thunderstormy yesterday. UGH. But hoping today is a little more settled.

That was short lived. Clara has been having dizzy spells. Told her she needs to NOT work 16 hr shifts – 8 – maybe 10 max and REST. To me, it sounds like she’s dehydrated. She has her water bottle there. Told her to keep it with her. So frustrated, cannot bring her anything. Just makes me upset. I understand, but it still makes me upset.

Got everything wiped down. The new ritual!

HUGS and stay well, stay safe.

Sandra, I'm sorry you can't find Tigger's food. Can you order from Chewy? Only other thing I can think of is homemade.

I have been working on getting more stuff cleaned out of here. Haven't gotten too far, so kitty might not be coming here. His current mom was here to meet me and she met Orzo, but there are a couple people that just decided yesterday and today that they are interested in him. I had said that I would take him if he couldn't find a home and now I am wanting him. That is bad. I have way too much stuff in here to get it cleaned up in a short time, but was pulling trash and things to keep from under the coffee table and that is about as far as I've gotten.

I went to church online this morning. That seems to be a good way to go for me. I don't miss half the service if I have to run to the ladies room and I can go back to church again any time I want to.

Take care and stay safe everyone.

My GS came over told him he is suppose to be visiting and to go home and stay there. Had to disinfect everything he touched when he left. The young kids just don't get it.
In my county everyone is hoarding pet food can't find Tigger's food anywhere I usually get it at Target but they have been out for a few weeks.

Saturday: Well, John and his family have been ill, but he says, not they’re feeling much better. He says they have enough food and medicine, STAY AWAY. Have chicken soup on reserve, but will wait to drop it off until he determines they need it. The Mom part of me wants to drop stuff off, but he is at a point w/being laid off that he has to be in charge of SOMETHING, so I’ll be guided by him.

Clara is doing all right. Another resident did pass, but it was due to a # of health issues, not corona. She was in her id-90’s. **SIGH** I just feel so badly for her. It is really difficult to lose a patient. I’m glad, though, that she’s talking to me about it.

Otherwise, decluttering my office. Not too bad. Just have to go thru some papers and shred.

Rainy, ugly day, so just as well to stay inside!

Blessings on your Saturday, stay well, stay safe.

Sandra: Oh my! There are limits here and I have to say . . . most of the people I have encountered have been polite, orderly, nice. But, haven’t been out much @ al per requirement. Sorry that happened to you.

Yes, we’re grateful Clara is getting better. She’s exhausted, though.

Darlene: Yes, some people are truly selfish, nervy and inconsiderate.

I have heard of a lot of scams. Thanks for the heads-up.

Wow! Some people really have the nerve. They are limiting products here, but people are still hoarding. I made it to two stores Thursday and neither one has even one package of toilet paper. Not even one roll of it. I have enough for a little while, but have been having IBS problems so it won't last long. My friend is going to try to get some today, but I doubt she will have any luck. She is getting the things I didn't get the other day for me. I told her to wear a mask and take wipes and hand cleaner. I thought she might just be ordering, but she said they are backed up for a week or more since everyone is using them.

I hope your son was able to find some TP somewhere. I just can't believe all the hoarding going on and all the scams. Now they are calling people saying they are the IRS and need your social or bank number (can't remember which, but probably social) so they can send you your stimulus check.

Thank goodness Clara only has a cold.

My son went to the grocery store for TP and as he was putting it in the cart some woman came by and took it out of hand there is no call for that. My sister in law saw a woman with 4 carts full of TP if I was the cashier I would have called the manager and have him do something about the hoarders.

Stay well and safe.

I guess they are probably testing everyone where Clara works because it is so hard to tell whether a person has it or not. There are people who don't show any symptoms at all but they can pass it on to others. Guess that is why there are so many who think the Stay-at-Home orders are stupid. Well, news to them, they just said that the U.S. has more cases of COVID than all the other countries now.

I finally got out to get some things this morning. I had to get some paint thinner for my painting. I was told that mineral oil is only for protecting the brush after you are done with it for the day. I still wasn't able to get TP even though I went at 7:00 for senior hour. I think one person got a pack of TP. I was able to eventually get what I wanted, though only 2 cream of chicken and 2 cream of mushroom to make casseroles.Of course, then I completely forgot one thing I needed. Plus I went all the way through the rest of my food stamps even though I didn't get very much.

Now I am coughing more, so I hope it isn't any more than a cold.

Stay well.

Thursday: And the beat goes on. Clara told us last night a resident passed away. Oh other info, though. She hadn’t taken care of that patient, so that’s good. She’s feeling better. Even better news.

She called again this morning and she’s doing well, but really tired. Working 12-14 hr. shifts. But she’s able to rest. Feels much better. Wanted to take her some soup, but not allowed to even leave it outside the entrance for her to pick up. I tried. **SIGH** But she assures me she’s all right.

HUGS and blessings.

Wednesday: Well, fortunately Clara just has a cold, but now as of last night, they are testing everyone for Corona. She says there are no cases, so a little confused about why they’re doing that, but we’ll find out.

Just puttering around here today.

Hugs and have a wonderful Wednesday and be well.

Darlene: Yes, it's all about doing the best w/what we have right now. NOT easy.

Good luck to you.

I am running out of a lot of things so I am going to have to try to make some things without using products I am used to. Plus I am going to have to make some bread. What I have is practically all carbs now. Have very little in meats/proteins. We can go shopping for things, but after reading some things this morning I am afraid to go do that. I guess I will make a list and order to pick up at the curbside. I read today that the early hour for seniors and immune compromised people had people lined up completely around the store practically, so I'm not sure that hour is worth going to.

I haven't tried my oil paints and the mineral oil I have to clean the brushes. Guess I will do that in a little while. Plus I need to get back on the Isolation Art Challenge again. I have missed 2 days now.

Today I am going to try to make some spaghetti or maybe try to figure out a cheese pizza. I have a spaghetti squash for the spaghetti.

Sandra, what a great find for you. I was going to donate some gloves to a hospital that had half of their PPE stuff stolen before the positive cases started being found in Colorado. Today I was checking to see if they were in good enough shape an wouldn't break and I found out it wasn't gloves, but Kleenex. A big box of it. That was good. I was so low I was using paper towels and I don't have that many of them.

I cannot believe the people complaining about the Stay at Home ruling. "Oh, it's nothing but the flu. There is no reason for all this." If they had not ignored all the warnings to stay away from people by at least 6 feet, that Stay at Home order wouldn't have been needed. Stay a distance from people, don't always keep touching things and not keep them sanitized, etc. But these people think it won't affect them and nobody else matters.

Yes, they did some more panic buying yesterday, too. The Stay at Home order was closing liquor stores and recreational marijuana dispensaries (medical staying open) and people went nuts at the liquor stores because they can't live without a lot of drinking. There was so much protesting of that that they are allowing them to stay open.

Today the governor put in rules for the grocery stores to have hand sanitizer in the aisles for people and something else -- maybe to keep the wipes in the front because some stores were out.

I'm having some problems with keeping up with my art. I am trying to clean up some stuff from under my coffee table, trying to draw, trying to figure out how to get a painting finished. Had 3 hours worth of phone conversations today, a bit over 1 1/2 from a friend in Colorado Springs and a bit over 1 and a quarter from Germany. Germany has the same rules that many places here are having. They know more what is going on in Europe than we do over here.

I am glad that Clara is doing better and it turns out a cold and not worse.

Everybody stay safe from this horrible virus.

Tuesday: Clara called yesterday afternoon. She’s sick. She was examined and she ended up having a cold, so that’s a huge relief.

The WI governor issued a ‘safer @ home’ order (same as shelter in place that other states are invoking). That really won’t change what Jas and I have been doing. But I imagine there are plenty who are going to be out there panic shopping.

So that’s yesterday. Heaven knows what today holds!

Stay well, stay safe. Hugs and blessings. Prayers

Darlene: Stay @ home order in place here, too.

Clara was found to have a cold yesterday, so that’s a relief.

No parks are open here. Too many people went their and didn’t adhere to the 6 ft. distance. **SIGH**

Well, whatever you have, sounds like you’re getting over it. That’s the good thing.

Good luck.

Sandra: Thanks and yes, Clara is feeling better!

And what a great find in your DAd;s garage!

I'm sorry that Clara is sick. I hope that it isn't the COVID.

We have a Stay-at-Home in place in Denver, but it doesn't really include all those things that make you completely stay at home. You can still go to parks, but if you don't keep the 6' distance you can be fined. They have closed the playgrounds, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. Parks are only open for biking, walking and running. You can also do those things on trails or roads/sidewalks. Also essential stores are still open. After a lot of complaints the Mayor backed off the closure of liquor stores and marijuana dispensaries. I don't know why people find those so essential. The medical marijuana were allowed to stay open even before. Anyway, if people don't obey how the Stay at Home is now, they can be fined up to $999. Of course, I can't see how it is really different from what we were doing before except for the fine if they don't do the social distancing. That is what the problem is. People aren't doing that. I think all ages are ignoring that and feel that there is no problem.

I don't have much in the way of muscle pain, just some little ones that go to different places. I don't think that is what they are talking about with COVID. I also have not had problems breathing. If I have the COVID it should be almost over because I have had the dry cough for a long time. I more have the stuffy nose that isn't suppose to be a symptom of it.

Guess I will either have to go out or have someone go get me a couple things tomorrow. I need something to clean brushes with. Found out today that I can't use acrylics to finish a painting I started years ago. Have to use the oils (which I prefer anyway). I don't think I can redraw what is on that painting.

All the parks and beaches are closed in California. Everyone is laid off where my hubby used to work. One of his old co workers called him today.
I have been washing my hands so much they are cracked and dry I put on hand lotion and my hands soak it up like sponge.
Found out today that my sister will stay in the nursing home untill it is safe for her to come home I still can't see her but I do talk to her everyday.

Stay safe and healthy.

Monday: Quiet day yesterday and that’s fine. Have meals prepped for the week. That’s a good feeling.

Today have to do some decluttering in my office. That will feel good.

John was officially laid off today. **SIGH** Now he will have to apply for unemployment insurance.

Clara called a little earlier in the afternoon. She’s sick. Being checked. No word back yet. DAMN!

Hi all, I never thought I would see something like this happen in the USA or the world.

I'm doing the same as all of you and staying home. The last time we went out (3/19) for groceries we wore a bandana and plastic gloves.

I did see something encouraging on the news last night. A 90 year old woman recovered from a stroke just to get this horrible virus and recovered from it too. I don't know where she lives.

So there is HOPE. Just keep praying and take precautions when you have to go out.

(((Hugs))) Bobbie

There are 2 more deaths in my county and 253 cases 53 more from yesterday. The police are now issuing tickets for those who don't comply with the shelter in place rules.
The young teens don't care if they get the virus.

Saturday: Just keeping to the house and keeping our head above water. Oh my gosh. Things just change hourly. But we’re all right.

Blessings for us on this Saturday!

Darlene: Right now Clara is locked down in her nursing home facility. BUT she did call earlier tonight and they got supplies of gloves, masks and gowns. Thank goodness.

I am home as well w/DH. Do you have any muscle pain – that is another hallmark. Just take good care, eat as healthfully as possible and DO get some fresh air and sunshine. OH yes, shortness of breath is also predominant.

Barbara, they are now making masks somehow for the health care workers. Can you and your daughter do something like that? I don't know how they are made, other than with cotton material they said, but the information is probably on the internet somewhere.

I have been staying home all the time, too. I keep reading all the symptoms and how this virus progresses and some of that drives me crazy. I have a cold and reading the progression information it seems to indicate it all starts with cold symptoms and then progresses to the fever and everything else. So I keep taking my temp several times a day. I guess if you get past 7 or 10 days it shows you don't have COVID19. At least I hope that is the way it is. Anyway, I am staying home, doing some art or something like that.

Friday: 2 deaths in our county from the virus. **SIGH** Just sad. The gentleman was 90, though, so obviously overwhelmed by the affects of the virus. The other casualty is a man in his 50’s. No details, but assuming there were underlying health issues. Sad.

It is infuriating. DD called this morning. Just got off her shift from the nursing home. They do not have masks nor gloves. GAH! That’s just asking for trouble. We need to get these urgent supplies to the 1st responders and health care workers!

We are safe, however. Staying @ home. If the weather cooperates, maybe get a quick outdoor walk to get some sun, IF it comes out!

It’s Friday. Enjoy. Take care, everyone. Stay well.

Sandra: So sorry! But that is an astounding # of cases and deaths. Stay safe!

Try to celebrate as best you can. I know it's totally disappointing and difficult.

Virtual hugs and congratulations to you and DH.

Thursday: Unfortunately, yesterday was not a good day. John’s hours were cut and Clara is off for 14 days from the bank now (w/o pay) as she works @ the nursing home, too. She’s probably safer, @ this point, working @ the nursing home. She and all the other ee’s get checked out before entering the building. So, we’ll see how this all pans out. I know there are a BOATLOAD of people in this situation, as well. **SIGH**

1st case of the virus found in our county. That’s frightening. 90 cases in WI statewide.

Prayers and more prayers.

Hugs and have a healthy Thursday.

Linda: Happy Spring! Cold and rainy, but that’s all right. Just glad to be rid of Winter!

Darlene: How wonderful that your neighbors are so helpful for you. Hope that the 90 yr. old neighbor has someone to help, too.

Hugs ladies, and Happy Spring.

LeanJeans, are you sure it's spring? emoticon It is snowing here and expected to continue until tomorrow morning. Of course, this is Colorado and we get our snow usually in March and April, though we had an awful lot in February.

Sandra, sorry about your party. It is too bad they won't at least give back part of the money since it isn't your fault you have to cancel.

I have such great neighbors now. The lady at the corner sent a message that she would go get me things I need so that I don't have to go out. Then my next door neighbor called because they were going out and to see if I needed anything. I don't need to go out at all for a while. I hope the neighbor on the other side has everything he needs, too. He is around 90, I think 9though he doesn't look that old). He lost his wife a couple years ago and he has some of the same health problems I do -- diabetes and former cancer.

Hope you all are staying safe.

My 50th anniversary party hĂ s been cancelled will have it in the summer. I remember my 25th anniversary was cancelled also because of the storm we had plus the one and only bakery we had in my town went on strike.
Now I had to cancel my cake for this anniversary and the caterer. Sad part I don't get my money back.

I did get out in the sun for a while yesterday before the breeze got too cold. I was lazy out there and was coloring in an adult coloring book. I might try some leaf/pod raking today, but I am out of bags for it except for 1, so that might not be too good an idea unless I rake everything onto the patio. Otherwise it will kill what little grass I have if it is in a pile. My friend brought me a few things today -- food, Coricidin and cat food. I'm grateful for that. I don't want her going out too much, though, because she has allergies and asthma. She thinks she has really good immunity, though.

Painted a shamrock this morning without having anything to look at. As far as I can tell, it came out okay even though it is a little bit darker green than it should be. They had suggested a game for kids with counting all the shamrocks they could see in the windows. It was started a couple neighborhoods over, but another lady and I joined in here (she's just down at the corner) and a couple other neighborhoods.

Great - just read an article that says areas with latitudes of 31-50 north are at higher risk for COVID-19 and it spreads more there and Colorado is right in the middle of that area. The only advantage Colorado might have is it is more arid than the areas they said because it says humidity of something like 57 to 79. Just didn't need to see that. There is enough panic around here. Hope you are all out of those areas and you all stay safe.

Monday: Another day of the ‘new normal”. OY. Have to go to the audiologist this morning and that’s it.

Take care of yourselves and stay well. DO try to get fresh air and sunshine (IF the sun is out).

HUGS and stay well!

I hope you don't have to stay inside the house the entire time. Do you have delivery services that will deliver anywhere, including rural areas? I hope they don't do that here, but our governor copies everything that the California governor does, so they probably will. They have told everyone to stay out of the mountains, then put on TV to get away by heading to the hills. That makes a lot of sense.

I am going to go out in the sun a bit later. Not going anywhere that I will be around people. I already have a cold and don't need things to get worse. I checked the hospital information and it says to keep all appointments. That surprises me because that is where people with COVID are going. I have an appointment on Monday that I can do my waiting outside, but the one on Thursday there isn't a way to be waiting outside or socially distance from other patients. I don't know about that one.

Hope everyone is staying well.

The governor of California has ordered everyone 65 & older and anyone with health issues must stay home. This is really getting of hand.
Stay well everyone.

That is an interesting video, Bobbie. Thanks for sharing it.

There is an article online about sun and fresh air in fighting this virus. They found about that back in 1918. Now, though, everyone is staying inside and if you get anything bad you are kept inside away from the sun and fresh air. (Sorry, I can't give a link to the article because my computer was acting up and I had to close it) I think it talked about the Spanish Flu back in 1918.
