I too use Vicks and a netti pot. I also use Oil of Oregano. Just a few drops either in water or pure will help your sore throat and cough. I use it 3 times a day when I need to.

For coughs I use Diabetic Tussin (I think that is the name, but Sugar-free Tussin, anyway) and for stuffy nose usually Eucalyptus Oil. Also will set up a vaporizer with Vicks.

Never heard of the Vicks on your feet thing before! Definitely worth a try. I don't do well with most cold medicines - the pseudephedrine or whatever it's called makes me feel worse than I did with a cold. So it will be Vicks and netti pot. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Netti pot

warm salt water gargles

saline spray

Vicks (believe it or not, if you put it on the soles of your feet, cover w/socks, the coughing stops for you to sleep! Worth a try.)

I'm new to this and I'm sick with a cold. I deal with it fine except at night, when a constant cough keeps me awake. In the past, a couple of cough drops through the night would adequately address the problem, but that doesn't seem like a good solution now as even the sugar free ones wind up elevating my morning glucose level. Any suggestions for what's worked for you all?
