I have the book from when it first came out (or close to it -- I got the book in the 90s). Hopefully they have revised it, because I couldn't understand a thing in there. Afraid I don't know how well it would work on controlling blood sugars since it had me that confused. If it has been revised so people can understand it, It might be a good one. But Adkins and Bernstein are a lot easier to understand than that one was.

Any very low-carb diet like Atkins will essentially have the same effect: cure you of carbohydrate addiction. I am currently eating about 25 grams of carbs/day, none from grains, sugar or legumes. I lost my cravings for carbs a long time ago.

I haven't heard of this specific diet, but I went to a program that advocated a grain-free diet because of how your body processes them. It worked like a charm but was difficult to stick to strictly - just like any change you try to implement.

Has anyone heard of this diet before and have they had any luck controlling their blood sugars with it?
