Scales are only one of a number of measures of progress. Being off the meds is a HUGE one! And remember...

...A cubic inch of muscle weighs more than a cubic inch of fat. Skip the scales for a bit and get out the measuring tape...

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." thanks, Walter P. Chrysler. I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!
P.S. I looked up enthusiasm, and it says the root words mean God within... interesting...!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL

Thank you all for your support and feedback. NSV definitely, I've moved into a 14. Yeah.

Brigit, thank you for taking the time to look at my tracker. I'm not keeping calories low on purpose, it just kind of happened with my work schedule. In general I've been aiming for
1200 -1400. I was surprised you thought maybe a little higher. Something to consider.

I try to eat clean as much as possible. I do use Rotiessere Chicken and Sliced Turkey Breast to help me, balance time work exercise, you know the drill.

I seem to fall short with adding fat, so I will go back and review and see where I can do a better job at that. Thanks again.

I just looked at your nutrition and exercise tracker. I suspect that you are starving your body. The quality of your nutrition is great in that you don't eat junk (although processed meat is not as good as real, home-cooked) but with the number of calories you are burning you give your body no choice but to burn muscle mass and hold on to most of the fat.
I would suggest eating at the very least 1800-2000 calories and more if you exercise burning more than 200 calories/day. Your body likely needs more protein and it definitely needs much more fat so add some coconut oil, higher fat meat, eggs, nuts, more olive oil on your salad etc. to fill in the calories. Starvation mode increases your cortisol levels which raises insulin and makes you weight loss resistant.
Also, if you keep your calories too low eventually you will run out of will power and be tempted to binge on the wrong foods.

Good work on the FBS. Ok, as far as the scale:

1. Don't focus on the scale! Maybe it's time to weigh just weekly for awhile.

2. DO focus on: your energy lever, how you look, how your feel, how your clothes feel, your OTHER measurements (bust, waist, hips, arms, legs)

3. Realize that the body is going to take time periodically to adjust to the weight loss, so nothing will move on the scale.

4. Be brutal looking @ your portion sizes and your nutrients.

5. Building muscle = increasing the "fat burning/calorie burning" in your body, so it WILL catch up on the scale.

HUGS and keep it up!

Congratulations! Just stay strong, stick to your healthy eating, exercise plan, and it will work. The scale will soon start to respond. emoticon

You have a great FBG #, so you are in control of your diabetes.
Remember that you are probably adding muscle, so While you are losing fat, the scale might not reflect it as fast. It will soon put you in ONEderland!

My sugar is doing great, this morning fasting was 87. My exercise has been the best it's been since I can remember. I really think my walks after work about 7:30 are really helping. I mean especially at night. This week was the most ever, last night I walked 2.14 miles, the other days about a 1.5 miles. But that #$#%! Scale will not budge. I am standing still at 200.4

It's about 10 days now. My food tracker is shared if anyone has thoughts. At this point it's just time I guess, but I'm very open to suggestions. I am now completely off my shots. Yeah..
