Just wanted to check in and say hi to all. Been sick for almost a week. Feels good to finally get online and see what I am missing. I had a nice birthday. We got some new family members. We got 2 new bunnies and kittens for the kids. I haven't been eating much while sick with this nasty cold so I can't wait to get back to eating healthy again. I hated being sick and moody lol. Hope everyone is all well and doing good...

Sandy, I'm glad you and the family are doing well. We are physically fine, but mentally not so well. My sister was diagnosed with brain cancer, then started having seizures which were not controlled by medicine. They have her in a medically induced coma in hopes of allowing her brain to rest and heal.

Sorry I been away been so busy with family and everything And then my laptop broke and had to get it repaired just got it back a week ago. Glad to have it back. I missed sparking with all of you.
I kept to eating healthy and saying active and I am doing great. The kids all are well and so is hubby. I am now 48 as I turned on the 7th of Sept. It still warm here but starting to cool down some. This week we suppose to be in the early 90's. Hope all is well with everyone else...

Morning well not much going on here just relaxing. Figure I stopped by and say emoticon
I am waiting for the laundry to finish and for the boys to come home and my other daughter. Made pancakes from scratch this morning and they came out great. I never new just how easy it was to make them. They were a big hit with the girls and hubby. Didn't workout this weekend but instead I cleaned the house and moved furniture around. I did workout during the week so that good. Time to work on new goals for the week. Will post them later on in the day. Better go check on these clothes. Hope everyone is enjoy their Sunday...

Just finish riding through Sydney did 50 mins and burned over 447 calories not bad I use the BitGym App and also did some strength training too this morning so I got my workout in now time to clean and do some laundry. Hope everyone is doing good. It started to get hot here as right now we 90 and it only 12pm.

Yea I did and I been exercising as I did 5 days last week and been watching what I eat and drink. I am making mini goals each week. I did lose 3 lb last week. Hopefully I will lose this week too. So far this week I am off to a good start.

Morning Sorry I been MIA last week been busy running around getting the kids ready for back to school. Had to go clothes shopping then sneakers shopping and school supplies and even up to date shots for my middle schooler. So I did a lot of walking. Then me and my hubby will be celebrating our anniversary n Aug 5th we be together 15 yrs. Boy how times fly by quickly. We have had our up and downs but some how we work through things and pulled our marriage together. I guess everyone goes though a rough patch here and there. Anyway I am trying to lose this weight and it hasn't been easy. I swear when you hit your 40's it hard and harder to lose weight. But I am trying my best to. At times I just want to give up but I don't. I eat as healthy as I can and I even cut the sugar out and still nothing. Doctors say you have to balance everything. I do that and still not seeing results. For now all I can do is keep going and one day I will reach my goal of being under 200 lbs. Hope everyone else is doing fined.

Well woke up feeling good and I started my day off to a good start by drinking a glass of water than I did 12 minute walk at home video and 3 sets of Narrow Squats and 3 sets of Isometric Squats. I want to try and workout every day even if it just 10 minutes I am gonna try.

Just stopping by to say hi,

Well it pretty quiet in my house this weekend as 2 of my girls are at their grandparents and another one of my girls went to the lake with her friend's family and than gonna sleep over. So we just have the 2 boys and 1 girl . Right now hubby is sick with a cold and sore throat so he in bed resting. I am making him homemade chicken noodle soup and hasn't decided what me and the kids gonna have yet for dinner. I'm thinking of a pork roast but don't know really.
My goal for this week is to try and log on to spark and post more often. Also to try and log everything I eat and drink. I also want to try to get back into exercising again even if it only 10 or 20 mins a day. I been trying around 248 for awhile now and I would like to see that number move down you know. I hit a plateau and just haven't move since.

Well not much going on just been relaxing as we been having rain and thunder storms here. We do need rain. I also don't use the meal that Spark gives you. I feel too restrictive and find that making my own is better. I enjoy choosing healthy foods and making my on dish. I also don't measure my foods. I can look at foods and guess how much to eat. I been on so many different diets that it pretty easy. The only problem I have is not exercising enough. I keep telling myself that I will exercise and for some reason I just don't. Hubby even got me a exercise bike which I don't use. Anyway hope all is well with everyone....

Morning I sure haven't been active here much on Spark or my teams. I been so busy with family stuff and the kids that I just don't go online much. Hubby had to reformat my laptop cause I some how got a virus. So it took him a couple of days to fix it. Thank god he was able to. As for my weight well it been up and down. So I just have to stay focus and start tracking again. We had a really big fire near our area thank god it didn't come near where we live but you could see the smoke as the whole sky was red clouds. But it did spread on a highway and burned over 20 cars n trucks. Also burn 5 homes that was in the hills. They still trying to get it contained right now it only 5%. I am so ready for the kids to go back to school which is Aug 10th. I love them but oh god they driving me crazy. Hope everyone is having a good week... Enjoy your weekend

My plan for now into Aug is to set mini goals and track what I eat and drink and to stay active.

Hi, Wow I've been gone from the group as well. Just haven't been on the computer much only to check email and pay bills. I am doing somewhat better as far as health wise go. I been eating healthy and following WW plan. When I first stated I was 257 and now I am down to 248. Well the kids all are out of school and they doing good. They enjoying their summer by going in the pool and getting wet. We been taking family walks in the evening with the kids as well after we eat dinner every single night and it been nice. We doing more stuff with the kids this summer it feels great. It been very hot here as we been hitting over 100 all week long. They say it the hottest summer yet. So I been staying active by doing stuff with the kids. I knew that I was spending too much time online and told myself that we the kids finish school that would change. I will try to check in when I can okay miss you all.

I been so busy this week between three birthdays and paying bills and grocery shopping and gardening that I haven't had much time to go online. Plus having the kids home till the 13th as they have off for spring break/Easter break. I been going to bed earl too which isn't like me. I am finally able to come online and say hi to all my good friends. I hope everyone is having a nice Easter weekend. We got each one of the kids a chocolate bunny for Easter as they getting too old for baskets. As for Easter dinner well I am making Ham, Scallop potatoes, Yam, Green beans. and hubby is making his favorite dish kasha varnishkes. Plus he brought a nice cake for Easter too. So we already for Sunday. What is everyone else making? We having the in laws over so that be nice you know. As for my breathing I only use the inhalers as needed. So far it been twice this week. Well wishing everyone a nice weekend and Easter. Hope all is well.Good night I am off to watch some TV before going to bed..

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I been MIA, Been dealing with a lot of health problems in/out of the hospital. Came down sick last week and ended up in the hospital for 4 days with pneumonia and trouble with my asthma. I just came home this past Tuesday evening. Spent the whole day resting and I am starting to feel some what better today. Still under doctors orders to rest and take it easy for the next couple of days. The hospital weigh me in at 262.3 on Saturday. When I left on Tuesday I was 251.2. They put me on more meds and a Nebulizer. I am still not 100% but I a just glad to be home. Jut wanted to stop by and say hi and that I was thinking about all of you's.

Hope Everyone is doing well and keeping warm for these who in the storm area with iced and snow.

Spent my day in the ER again for this dame cold and infection I have cause I woke up wheezing really bad and was having trouble breathing. Now they thinking I may have COPD I really hope not. Got to go see a specialist now

Well went to the doctors yesterday cause I was wheezing really badly and found out I have Bronchitis in my left lung and sinus infection. So they put me on more meds. I have to go for another chest x-ray too. They gave me four breathing treatments yesterday to right in they office. Boy did I sleep great last night and woke up feeling good. Hope all is well with everyone...

Today makes five weeks of not smoking yea. I am so very proud of myself. One of my daughters has a friend coming over to visit for a bit and then two of the kids are waiting for their grandparents to come over as they going for the weekend to their house. So we will only have four kids this weekend. I finally finish cleaning our bedroom and it looks so much better then before. I just don't like clutter you know. I am going to focus on my health and getting well first. Then I will focus on losing weight. I am going to take one day at a time and keep taking my meds and eating healthy. So that is my Nov goals for now....

I had to go to the doctors. I been having problems with coughing spells and tightening of the chest and wheezing badly. The doc says I have Allergic Asthma due from my allergies which has gotten worst. He also said If you have allergic asthma, your airways are extra sensitive to certain allergens. Once they get into your body, your immune system overreacts. The muscles around your airways tighten. The airways become inflamed and over time are flooded with thick mucus which bring on coughing spells. So he has giving me medicine for it. So I have to watch how much I exercise so I donít trigger it. So I have to plan a new plan with watching what I eat instead of exercises. So it gonna take me longer to lose the weight. I am still wheezing a little. He put me on QVAR and ProAir HFA and Zithromax and Promethazine. I am not use to taking so much meds. Well gonna go lay back down for a bit hubby says I have to rest. Talk more soon.

Well not much going just relaxing. Last night I made stream spaghetti squash for dinner.Instead of pasta I had squash with meatballs and sauce. I love spaghetti squash and so does my kids.
Still doing great with not smoking as it day 21 and I'm going strong. I even lost another pound which feels great. Hope everyone is having a good Friend....

Things are good haven't had any pains lately. But I been taking it very slow and easy. I been only walking for exercise. I just don't want another strained or pull muscle you know. I been watching what I eat and drink and staying within calorie range. I am on day 19 already of not smoking and it feels great. I am just taking one day at a time...

I was doing 21 fix program and exercise video called Total body cardio fix as it has both strength and cardio. I also do the Leslie walk the pounds off. I always end up with a pull muscle and it drive me crazy.

Morning well just getting up and feeling much better today. I made up my mind I am gonna leave the scale alone for awhile instead of weighing myself every single day cause it just drive me crazy. I am gonna stay focus and eat healthy and stay within my calorie range and see what happens in the next few weeks. This is my plan wish me luck... Still doing good with not smoking day 12 now:)

I have gain weight like crazy. Every time I get a chance to work out I re-injured my pull muscle and ended up laid up for a few days. It like my body doesnít want me to exercise. I am 47 and I am finding it very hard to lose weight. I donít have menopause cause I get a monthly every month. But my stomach also look like I am pregnant as well. I hate when someone comes up to you and ask when you due. When I started this journey I was 280 lbs back in 2009 and I work so hard to get myself down to 184 lbs yea it took me till 2011 But I did it. Here I am today weighing in at 248 lbs none of my jeans fit anymore. I went from a size 22/24 down to 14. Now I am back into a size 20/22. My husband I so tired of me dieting and trying new things he at the point enough is enough he told me no more diets or exercise. I am so unhappy and depressed because I fall off track. I am frustrated too. All I can do is keep trying and not give up. We can do this one day at a time.

Well at least I am doing good with not smoking as it been 11 days now

I am starting to feel so much better. I also notice the difference in my breathing too. Day eight and doing good. Well I had a girly day yesterday and went out and got my hair done and nails done. The pain on my side is starting to go away too. Well I'm just relaxing with the family and enjoying the weather.

Well not much going on with me I got up at 6:35 am got the kids one by one up and in the shower then off to school by 9 am. Then I laid back down as I was in pain.but mother duty calls. I slept till 2 pm boy I must of been very tired. Still not smoking so far so good :)

When I try to get back on track by exercising I ended up pulling a muscle or something. I did one of my fitness videos called total body cardio fix and now my side is killing me to the point I was in the ER for it. I swear can things get any worst. It like my body telling me not to exercise you know.

well spent last night in the er again from 1 am to 7 am i was having pains on my side to the point it hurt to walk,lay.sit so they ran test and cat scan they said it could be anything they really dont know why i am in pain. as for my chest being so tight i need to quit smoking. so i havent had any cigs since last night. they gave me something for the pain in my iv and boy did it make me sleep i just woke up believe it or not.

Well I need to find what works for me. The problem is I don't even know anymore. At one time I was very active and exercise 5 times a week. Now I am lucky to even get one or two times a week. Now I am either on the go running around like a chicken without a head lol. Or I am so tried that I just don't have any energy. I have 6 kids from ages 6 to 13 to look after. My husband had a setback where he in a wheelchair now due to his bad knees as his ACL in both knees are getting worst for him to stand.So he needs help walking,getting in/out of a tub and being push around in the chair and getting dress. I don't mind helping cause he my husband. I am glad to help. But it can be very stressful at times. Like today he had to see a PT and he couldn't even stand without being in a lot of pain. Between his diabetes and his knees hes in so much pain that nothing helps. We even downsize in pets cause it was just too much. It very had on my husband cause he feels like he not doing enough and his disability isn't enough either. He keeps telling me that I can do better and I need to find someone who works. I keep telling him I love you and we a team.. But I do understand where he coming from. Today we also got help with food and clothing and I couldn't believe I was back in a size 20 jeans again. I was so mad at myself. He said I am sexy at any size. So I got to find the time to focus on me some how. Thanks for listing team. I just got to find the motivation again.Sandy

Hi Team, I swear I am just so beat and drained from all these appointments and running around. I can't even focus on me really. Last week we had three doctors appt and blood test all for hubby. The week before we had to pick up all the kids glasses from the eye doctor and going to the vet for shots for out dogs. I am just so glad to be home relaxing. Well trying to anyway with kids it had to relaxed. I step on my scale only to see a weight gained. I just don't know anymore. I just can't seem to get focus and stay on track. Something has to change cause I really don't want to be back up to that 280 mark. I got to find a way to handle stress and life.

Morning,
Well first off My son did go on his trip and now he in Big Bear, Ca till Sunday.
Second, Boy It hot here as hell we been hitting over 100 this week and now that it the weekend it even hotter right now we 99 and its only 10am. They said we going up to 115.
Third, we only have three kids home so it not too bad.
Four, Things are going good with all of us and I am focusing on me again.

Evening everyone, The kids are in bed and I can finally relaxed. Been running around today cause my son who in middle school has a weekend field trip and they need a some papers filled out by the doctor on his meds. So we drop them off the other day and we went back today to see if they were done so he could go. They claim they would fax them Fri morning to the school.. I hope so cause he really wants to go. The field trip is about leadership.
Grand parents are taking two kids for the weekend as well so that only leave us with three kids this weekend. So the house going to be quiet. I told hubby maybe we can do some cleaning and uncluttered. We just have too much stuff. Gonna say good night. Hope everyone had a great day...

So, I travel a lot for my job as an Athletic Trainer. Last year I let that be an excuse for not being as active as I should be. This year, I refuse to make excuses. I started this job a year ago and when I moved I almost instantly gained 10 pounds. I now have about 15 that I want to lose. So, last week was our first road trip. I worked out both days that we were away.
We are now in our second week of traveling. After sitting on a bus for 11 hours, I really have no desire to work out. However, I did make myself get up this morning before breakfast and run a little over a mile. This evening after dinner, I did a 30 minute circuit work-out and jumped on the elliptical for 8 minutes.
It's time to get serious!

I'm just doing what I can you know to get back on track again. I just finish a 20 min walk and now I waiting for the kids to come home from school. Hope all is well....

Well been on the go all week and finally got to relax on the weekend. It been very warm here like in the 90's. I be glad when it start to cool down some. We did have rain the past couple of days but it really didn't cool down any.
As for my birthday yes it was nice and I had a good time. The kids made me stuff and my mother in law gave me a new purse. Hubby gave me a new fridge and tennis bracelet and nice plant. I had a great time and I did enjoy my day it was special. I can't believe I'm 47 boy how time fly.
Just stopping by to say hello and hope everything is fine with everyone....

Well I started my day with a 40 min walk and it felt good. Since then I been cleaning up the house and catching up on laundry. Been having three of my girl home due to ringworm that they got from rubbing against something the doctor said. So she gave them cream to use and they been home since Thursday and not allowed to go back till this Thursday.
Today we have a women coming to the house that grooms, clips birds feathers,trim their nails and beaks. We have an african grey who needs to be trim. She mobile and only charge 15 for everything.
It warm here as always so been trying to stay cool as much as I can. We still hitting 90's believe it or not.
Hope everyone is doing good and enjoying their Wednesday.
