To me, Back on Track means not only am I aware of the opportunities before me, but that I am prepared to take action, no matter how small or big, towards my goals. It means I've forgiven myself for knowing better and not doing better. Back on track to me, means success comes with the consistent striving, not just the achieving.
To all, Journey Strong!

Back on Track means to me that even though I was not able to succeed in the past, I am willing to give it another go and try. My biggest down fall is staying motivated and REMEMBERING TO GO ONLINE AND POST. With that being said, i'm brushing off my shoulders and putting one foot in front of the other and going to try this again.
I'm looking forwards to this group and some support.

Back on track means I'm ready to change my lifestyle so I look and feel healthy again. My biggest challenge is staying motivated. I've almost completed my first week.

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.

Smiling is my favorite exercise.

Wear a smile - one size fits all.

Just think what a smile can bring to the most important muscle of the body... the heart.

Hope you don't mind my joining in!!
For me "back on track" means that I am rocking what works for me (watching my caloric intake, getting exercise, not bingeing, not focusing on the scale....) to the best of my ability, bot phoning it in. Being very aware of every little decision I make throughout the day that can make or break my intent to lose weight and get healthier.

Looking forward to meeting all of you,

Love, Ginger

To me, "Back on Track" means that it's time for me to put forth all my efforts to journey towards a healthier me. This means, I need to track everything that goes into my mouth, watch my portions, drink more water, and chose healthy foods.

I have my goals I am shooting for during this challenge, but essentially, being "back on track" to me means not giving up on myself anymore.

I started SP just before the new year and was proud of the success I'd had through the spring, but the summer has thrown me off a bit- more things to do leaves me less time to spend contemplating food choices and exercise opportunities. I'm hoping as the days get shorter and colder I'll be better able to get "back on track" and make better nutrition and exercise choices.

Back on track means making myself do something active for at least 15 minutes every day. When I lost weight years ago (before I got ambushed by it again) I was going to the gym for upto an hour plus walking to and from work (15 min either way) as well as going for a gym class at night 2-3 x per week or going for night walks, I would love to get that motivation back but going to build upto it. Note: when I list gardening as an activity it is using big garden fork n digging up grasses and deep rooted weeds, so I get a sweat up

A year ago I was in a summer boot camp at my local YMCA that met 3 times a week. I also went in an extra morning during the week and every weekend. This summer I haven't been able to commit to the class as I would have to hire a babysitter to stay with my child while I went to the class, and after some vacations in the spring it made things very difficult for me to get up early during the week. So I've been down to essentially only one committed gym work out a week on Saturday mornings. They're intense as I've been doing 2+ hour work outs while my daughter is at the Kid Zone and then at her gymnastics class and my workout buddy has helped with that as we completed our first half marathon in May and our 2nd is coming up in October; but after the holidays, etc. last year I gained 10+ish pounds and have yet to lose and keep any of them off! I got an elliptical in February (didn't get it put together until April) so I am shooting for 3 HIIT sessions on my elliptical a week plus adding in one additional gym day (if not 2) per week. I am hitting the big 30 on August 30 (and having a mini-mid-life-crisis about it while I'm at it, sad I know, but there's justification to it. . .) and I want to ensure that my body continues to be in the best shape possible so that I can enjoy the time I have with my daughter, as well as providing her with the understanding of the importance of exercise and taking care of your body; but giving her a positive self and body-image at the same time. (She's 4 she can learn early to love herself no matter what our society says about her body, looks, etc). I'm proud of my body and what it can do physically but I would like my clothes to be a little looser, and my left over baby pouch to be a little tighter/smaller. Not just because of our societal images, but because I know that I am carrying around that little bit of extra weight that makes me "unhealthy" and that these things can have negative affects on me as I get older.

First thank you for starting this team, I tried to do mine on FB, but really didn't know what I was suppose to do, so then thought I'd just put it on my blog daily, then I got invited by A Bit At A Time to join this team, so here I am. I need the full back on track deal. My health problems clear back to Nov. 2002 and then DH's problems started in Feb. and didn't get better till this April, so lots of things going on and getting in the way. I think we are both finally doing better, but it's been a long time since I've exercised regularly or tracked anything, I have been eating healthier, but everything else went by the wayside. I saw this challenge and thought what a great opportunity to get myself back on track. So I'll gradually be increasing everything over the next 4 weeks, any support will be greatly appreciated. Once again, thank you for this team.

Hugs,
Shirl

Back on Track means to me really getting back on my food plan, counting calories and making better food choices. I do want to get back to exercise but have been not feeling too well so I haven't exercised since weekend. I do wear my fitbit which counts my daily steps and shows how many calories I burn daily. I am soooo excited to have found this team and I need accountability. I do love the railroad track logo also. Good luck everyone.

Back on track for me means being able to get up in the morning and wanting to be active, feeling trim, being excited about the days activities and having the energy to do those things. It means being happy and content. It means looking forward to the day. It means eating well without being obsessed with food and moving often for the joy and fun of it.

Tracking food and keeping within limits, daily exercise for 30 min or an hour and tracking that.

What fits your schedule better...exercising 1 hour a day or being dead 24hrs a day? lol

Summer has been very busy. Lot's of family stress, elderly parent issues, unemployed hubby, etc. This is a nice way to regroup and step up: be more vigilant about portions, eat more veggies, and add more exercise (even if it's just 10 mins every day).

Summer has been full of neglect, so this challenge came at a perfect time. Why wait till the end of the summer to get started :) Back on Track means tracking meals and 8 glasses of water on Spark again. Also, getting at least 30 minutes of activity each day is important to me as well.

Slowly but surely... I will cross the finish line.

It means going back to what worked in the past - the "tried and true." I will drink 8 glasses of water daily, log 10,000 steps on the pedometer, follow simply filling on weight watchers, and limit snacks in between meals to fruit or veggies,

To me, getting back on track means:
1. Regular exercise. That means cardio at least 3x/week and strength training 2x/week.
2. Get back in the habit of drinking water.

To me it means getting back to the basics of living a healthy life - water, fitness, nutrition and accountability!

Getting back on track means tracking my food and making exercise a regular part of my life. I'm hoping to hit my goal weight by the end of August for my birthday.

Back on Track for me means eating within my calorie range and start working out again. Had a shoulder injury that prohibited me from doing much but it's fine now but I'm still not working out. I hate getting up early to exercise but it seems to be the only time I would be able to manage it.

I was walking 2 miles a day, 4 or 5 days a week, and then I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I went through treatment and have been in remission since last December. I was walking a mile a day for a couple of months and I went back to work. But these past few months I have not been doing anything but sleeping and working part time. I really need to get out of bed and start moving again! I hope this challenge will get be motivated!

I have been having a difficult time with binge eating, complusive eating and recently started therapy. I was off track for quite some time due to the illness and death of my mom. I dropped my weight loss journey and resorted to old habits. I am slowly getting back on track and the challenge intersted me so I am very glad someone took the suggestion of many sparkers and a team was formed.

Back on track means to me:

1. staying within calorie range
2. exercising daily regardless of how much I do, just doing something is important

thanks for the invite to this group! I feel like I started to get off track early in the summer and it just snowballed into a complete neglect for all things good! Man do I need this. I've been wearing a fitbit flex for a few months now but becuase I haven't been tracking my nutrition I pretty much disregard my fitness goals. I have to keep reminding myself it's about small changes and consistency and not to an "all or nothing" investment. here we go!

For me, this can be summed up in one word: consistency. I'm not totally off-track but will be if I'm not careful, so this challenge seems like a great way to get headed in the right direction again.

I am not off track yet. But it's the beginning of my journey and August will present some steep challenges. I'm on leave and working at home which makes me slack on food planning. I'm also going away on holiday for 10 days on Monday and will have to keep my food in check, my exercise up AND get back on track at the gym when I return home and then back to the office. I know I can do this but I could find myself in need of support.

For me, back on track means taking my SP tracking for both food and activity seriously EVERYDAY. With August being 31 days, here's a great way to set up healthy habits that I will stick with way past August! I will incorporate a "no excuses" attitude. I also know that being human means s*&t will happen, but that it does not mean failure. Better choices for the next day and move on.

For me, being back on track means getting back to tracking my food and fitting in exercise *no matter what!*. I am eating way too many snacks and not being mindful when I eat out. I need to put on the brakes!!

What back on track means to me is that I need to put myself, my health and my emotional well being back to number one on my priority list so that I can get back to my "good feeling" self.

"Back on Track" means to me that it is a chance to put a few things back in place. Sometimes we get caught up in the rush of summer and forget about what your plans were to become healthier. This makes it fun as it is a short term goal and we are all here for the same reason. Thanks much for starting the team. Jude emoticon mm emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
