I was craving popcorn the other night. I was planning to bring a bag to work yesterday and today but I didn't! (I would have eaten the whole thing)

I wish I had reread this post before reaching for the granola last night. I started by measuring out a portion and using a spoon. Then I poured out more. Eventually, I was eating out of the bag. Fortunately, I got a phone call and stopped eating.
The smart move would have been to put the bag away after pouring a portion. And drinking water!
Was I more susceptible because I didn't drink enough water yesterday?

Wow! It's so hard to stop snacking. That was incredible. I still struggle with snacking, especially while reading.
Maybe you could try having a glass of water while studying. (Not as fun as chips)

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Way to go! Recognizing trigger points (at the computer snacking) is crucial. Enjoy the walk!

Good Afternoon NY SparkTeam,
before my total commitment to myself on my new heath lifestyles and eating habits, I use to sit at this time, at my computer to do my schoolwork. (College online student). Usually I get me something to snack on and my favorite is potato chips, Now its the unsalted Layer's. Well today at 4:45pm, I sat at my computer to start to do some class work, got up went to the kitchen and grab a bag of unsalted potato chips, and before I returned to my seat, I ate some chips. Then the self conviction struck me. before I can stick my hands back in the bag I closed it up and said to myself, Girl you almost did it again, and would have ate most of the bag, BUT you didn't get to the second handful. That is my biggest challenge , snacking while at the computer. I am now on my way outside to the park before sundown so I can get in an hour walk/run. Proud of my conscience to get it together and battle these weak moments.
On the way to great fitness. Thank you for reading NY SparkTeam emoticon
