Angel, I agree that tracking under cardio dancing is a good choice.
I have tried Pound and loved it but it was only a half hour class after half hour Zumba

Sounds like the music choices would be the key...if one goes for the tunes, it'll amp up your workout.

I only see the calorie burn on my elliptical workouts, which rack up between 400 to 450 calories in 30 mins.

Will take a stab at this, but if anyone can offer specific numbers, maybe they can help you generate a 'favorite' exercise... Ok..

, a 45-minute session can burn 400 or more calories, total 15,000 steps, include cardio strength. Sounds like a great workout for those who can do it... and sure sounds like fun, too!

(Note: The entry for Zumba indicates 53 calories for a 5-minute workout, which may make tracking quick and easy if you want to use that. (The entry is for more than Zumba, but searching on that word brings it up.) You COULD plop the Pound routine in as the Zumba entry. In your spot, though, I'd create my own entry and list it as a favorite.)

This is an exercise program not (yet?) available in the Nutrition Trackers search, so .....
If you know how you want to break it down:
On the Nutrition Tracker, click "enter your own exercises", words appearing under the tracker's 'search' button. You know what you do, so you may be able to break this down into strength/cardio on your own. Use the Pound site for reference.

Specifics for being correct?
I cannot advise how to break down the cardio and strength into trackable components; would suggest that if you cannot do it, you go to the Message Board for Fitness and Exercise www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageb

Specify that you already know you want to create your own workout on the tracker but want to break it down into components IF that is the case (which I suspect would be a good idea). If a Coach gives a response, you're good to go; if another member without much experience responds, take the advice into careful consideration.

The question I'd ask would include whether to tally it for both cardio and strength or just cardio.

Hello everyone! Has anyone tried the "Pound Rockout Workout" yet? It's sort of a dance fitness/toning class that is popping up around the country, and I've been going for two weeks. The reason I ask is because I'm not sure how to log it in my tracker. I've been listing it as cardio dancing (which includes zumba and hiphop blast) but I'm not sure how accurate this is...Any input is appreciated !
