i generally wake up irritated. i have been trying to become more in control of my mood and attitude. some days little things just annoy me and i respond tersly. i have been getting worse some days.
other days i start with a healthier attitude. as i get tired i tend to lose focus and get irritated easier but i just need to retrain my brain to stop whining so much.

I try too overlook most things that irritate me as the result usually only makes me mad at myself

It has taken time, yoga practice and therapy, but I am now one of those people who (most of the time) can let the irritations belong to the person with the problem, not me.
I know when I read that it sounds as if it's easy, but I know it's a challenge. A variation of a Buddha quote helps: When you take on the irritating problems of others it is like grabbing hot ember.... you get burned.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

What kind of things irritate you throughout the day? Or, are you one of those people who doesn't get irritated?

I usually start off my day really in a good mood. As the day progresses, I get more and more irritated. I know they are small things that I need to let go of but it seems to just build up throughout the day.

Some of the things that irritate me are: people who don't want to do anything to solve their issues, people who lie to me when I am trying to help them with their issues, people who can't answer yes or no questions ....

...and no I am not a therapist. LOL They are different kinds of issues.
