After my marriage to my current husband, my happiest day was the day I received my shipment of my first book in print. I couldn't wipe that smile off my face or out of my heart to see my words in a book!

Each new day is a blessing. I am thankful for each day that my eyes open and I take a breath.

Too many happy moments in my life to choose. The main thing is that they all have to do with relationships with others: marriage, children, grands, friendships...and above all being a child of GOD!

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." - Colossians 3:23
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to GOD the Father through Him." Colossians 3:17

My happiest moments would have to be the day I married my husband and welcomed my 2 stepsons to my life, the birth of my first son, and I will be adding the birth of another son in January. Other moments are all the milestones of my children and the things they have accomplished in life so far.

Thank you all for sharing your happy moments - it is uplifting to hear the wonderful things you've experienced in life.
For me, I think, the happiest moment was when I finally realized what it meant to live forgiven in God's grace. Every other happy moment - including the 'I-do', the birth of our daughter, the start to my current job - would simply not have been as joy filled if not for realizing how much God loves me. And when I'm having a bad day, I go back to that moment and remember that anything else pales in comparison with God's love.

I am late, but one of the happiest moments for me was walking across the stage for my BSW, it had been such a long journey and many times never thought I would have my degree. Although I finished in August, crossing that stage in December was everything to me. It was a slap in the face to all the people that said I couldn't do. I DID IT..... Still makes me smile to think about it.

I have more than 1 of the happiest moments of my life. Here's the top 6:

1. When my grandma got full custody of me when I was 13.
2. When I accepted God into my heart when I was 14.
3. When I went to a church camp in Colorado with my Young Life youth group. It was literally a life changing moment. When I was 16.
4. When I lost my first 20 lbs. off of my obese bod. I felt so happy. Age 17.
5. When I got my first paycheck. Age 18.
6. When I got to come and live with my grandparents and when I realized I'd lost 10 lbs. I can finally fit a bath towel around my body. emoticon

I am still young, and I know I'll have many more happy moments.

The happiest moment in my life was the birth of each of my two children. It seems many of us feel the same way. I was thinking this morning about how we are "containers" for God's Holy Spirit. We are also containers from which new life emerges. Our bodies are pretty special....that should help the next time I find myself tempted to put some garbage into it!! LOL! Take care of your beautiful containers, all you moms!
PS. My daughter now 21 took me to walk with her on the Long Island Sound today to get exercise. Happy moments just keep coming!

I would have to say, the birth of my son, hearing my now husband tell me he loves me for the first time, our wedding day almost 7 years later. Having a "come to Jesus" talk with God, and realizing that I'm not who he means for me to be. (I know that seems sad, right? I was on the operating table, almost dead, and God talks with me about things I have left to do and that it isn't my time, but He will clear the obstacles in my path, if I would only do His bidding. And that was one of the best days of my life!)

the day my boyfriend made a commitment to me and my unborn child. we met when I was already pregant, and I was all ready to take life on as a single mom, but he came into my life and changed the story. then she was born, and I became a parent. Followed by the day I converted to Catholicism, and went to mass with my family.

I have had many happy moments, but one of the most outstanding in my mind is the birth of my grandson. Our daughter was adopted when she was five so I did not get the experience of having her as a newborn. when I got to hold my newborn grandson, and know that I would get to see him grow up has to be the happiest that I can think of.

I have several happy moments...but...I have to say that finding my husband through a lonely hearts ad ranks right up there in the top 5. He lived in SC and I lived in TX...we spent the whole super bowl game on the phone laughing and cheering on our teams. He then sent me the $$ to fly out to SC and marry him and his 3 children. 20 years later, we are still going strong.

There are many happy moments in my life just like most people have both happy and sad. The two happiest moments in my life are my son-who is absolutely wonderful and fantastic. Raising him pretty much as a single mom and seeing how he has grown into such a wonderful young man makes me very happy. My second happiest moment is meeting my wonderful husband to whom I will celebrate our 1yr anniversary this coming Sunday.
Through trials and tribulations I have gotten to where happiness surrounds me daily.
Through happiness, faith and strength I will win and conquer making myself healthier emoticon

Like everyone else I've had lots of really happy days. The day my husband proposed (Not my wedding day - because it was too stressful) Birth of each child. Graduation from Nursing School. But the happiest day of all was the day I got saved. In fact, my favorite worship song is "O happy Day" Wynans version or Etta James.

Thinking back, there are so many days when I was very happy. My marriage, my divorce (won't go into why that makes the list), a new great job, the birth of nephew and nieces, college graduation (mine and my daughter's), and the list goes on. But first and foremost, my happiest day was the day my daughter was born. She was, is and always will be the light of my life.

My special happy day would be the day my son was born. I had trouble getting pregnant, had many scary moments before he was born. On January 20th it was by emergency c-section. I was so blessed to have had a healthy 8 lb baby boy. He is 27 now and I thank God everyday for letting me borrow one of his precious children to raise as my own. I am truly Blessed. emoticon

My happiest day was seeing my granddaughter born. I was allowed in the room with my daughter-in-law and son - and her mom and grandma. Ten years have passed since that special time, and I think the four generations of women in that room have an unbreakable bond as a result.

So yesterday's question ended up being a little depressing, but sounds like a lot of us have similar fears. And I think it is common when you have children the biggest fear will be something happening to them. Anyway, today we will think happy thoughts and share the happiest moment in our life.

For me, it was the day I found out I was pregnant with my son and that I was past the miscarriage point. This was a huge thing for me, because about 6 months prior to getting pregnant with him, I had a miscarriage. But I had a crappy doctor that didn't do his job right, so my new OB didn't know if I would be able to ever carry a baby full term. Granted anything can happen even after the normal miscarriage point, but it was a relief to hear my OB say I was past that point. I carried my son full term and even past his due date, he was born healthy and no issues. And of course having my other children was equally as special.
