I would also follow up with your doctor. Chatting with mine I did learn that fat stores estrogen. And the estrogen makes us store more fat, which stores more estrogen....and round and round. When we burn fat, and do so quickly, that estrogen gets released and can cause irregularities with our cycles. That being said, I think it's still worth a call to the doc.

Today is day 10 for me and I'm all out on my period now. I remembered that I tend to start my period after hard exercise but it hasn't happened in a really long time since I avoid doing that. Well, I went to a Yin yoga class Wednesday (day 7 for me) and since I hadn't been in a long time and she really worked our hips and hamstrings and stuff.. well, I was VERY sore the next day so really, that might have done it. I'm going to wait and see. I have started spotting and then bleeding in the past when it wasn't my normal time and it ended up being a polyp that they removed. I guess I could have another one.

That is odd. I had been in menopause and then started spotting and bleeding... while trying to do keto. It was like whenever I relapsed and had sugar, I’d spot. It got worse and ob/gyn determined I had a polyp. After it was removed, that’s when I suddenly had the inflammation marks on my breast, where it was determined to be cancer. Soooo I don’t know what to make of all that... but can’t hurt to check in with your doctor or PA or other medical professional to find out... they may have a wait and see approach, so document when it happens etc. I was never on the BC pills as I knew back then that my hormones were already messed up...

I would never tell you to ignore spotting. if its a change you should call your doc and let them decide if you need to be seen. I suspect its your body doing a "what the heck" but you should NEVER fool around with anything like that.
Please call your medical professional as soon as possible and just inform them. tell them you have started a new way of eating. and let them make the call.

that said..if you are strict keto your body is going through a BUNCH of changes with the healthier eating. your horomes are whacked out. and let me say that there are a TON of "keto babies" out there being born to women who were told they could never get pregnant. so be extra vigilant if you dont want to get pregnant.

This is day 9 for me on Keto and when I got up this morning and noticed I was spotting. Is this normal? I take BC pills and I'm no where near the time I should start my period.
