but lots of carbs so be very, very careful. a quarter cup, for me, isnt many..and i find myself sneaking a few more..and if i tally its a LOT more. if you have more willpower than me they are great!!

Nuts are good. I think there is a current ecoli recall on macadamia nuts right now, but pecans, cooked in butter are tasty and excellent! Lots of fat, not too much protein. And so yummy.

i make keto bread.. i only use it for grilled cheese but it would make sandwiches...

I also make waffles, maybe you've seen the recipe in this teams recipe area. Also made from protein powder. You could make some waffles, then pair two together with butter on the inside to make a "sandwich".

You can probably find vanilla and chocolate protein powder, so vanilla or chocolate cake. Maybe strawberry.

Keep in mind that this will not be the moist chocolate cake you are thinking of, but a pale version of it. On the other hand it might do the trick. Bake some, slice it, take it with an maybe add butter on top.

Hard boiled eggs, canned tuna w/mayo to wrap in romaine before eating, pepperoni or dry salami slices, try a flavor of cheese youíve never had before, salads are still great, just use keto friendly veggies and dressings, leftovers from dinner the night before, half an avocado stuffed with shrimp, small cubes of cream cheese wrapped in lox, dill pickles and/or green olives on the side, beef jerky.
Personally, I rarely cook anything for lunch, itís more like a grab and go. I have my version of bulletproof coffee in the morning, an easy lunch, and save the cooking/more interesting stuff for dinner time.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I have a hard time thinking of keto items to bring to work except for meat and cheese. If any of you have great ideas of portable lunch items, please share!

agree with KD, bring plenty you like...and just dont look at the other stuff. i bake all day..i just made one of my favorite desserts. cannolis. while i wanted a bite..i just didnt...

Are you a teacher (Iím asking because you had 3 months off in the Summer). If you are, then avoid the teacherís lounge at all cost! Wayyyyy too many tempting things there that people leave around for others in work lounges or kitchen areas.
Is there a way you can eat at your desk or somewhere that you can avoid those types of gathering places for now, until you get keto adapted and the cravings subside?

Bring food with you that you like - that way you aren't hungry which is the biggest recipe for disaster in resisting temptation.

Eat before you go to work (school I assume?) so you aren't thinking about food all morning long. Even a coffee with cream/butter will keep you satiated if you can't eat that early.

Have something keto at home to look forward to (or the plans of something) so you don't go off track as soon as you come home and you're starving!!

Hi Folks,

I recently went back to work after being off for the summer. It was a lot easier to eat a perfect keto diet when it was just me and my fridge. Now, I'm fighting pastries, jelly bellies, licorice whips, and all of the typical junk food that people bring to work. I've succumbed a few times and eaten sugar, something I haven't done for three months!

Fortunately, so far, I still lost two pounds. I don't want to fall off my keto lifestyle. I've been feeling really great. Any suggestions?
