I test nearly every day. 5 is very good. It means your body is fully in nutritional ketosis. I try and stay above 2.0 - to 6.0. Most days in the 3s.

Fasting does indeed raise your ketones.

I bought a blood meter and have been testing. Noticed that while fasting yesterday it went up above 5. Is this a normal thing during a fast? Will it level out during fasting? I don't have much experience with fasting.

Any thoughts?
