Thanks for all the responses. I don't intend to make a habit of it, but it was my son's birthday and I knew I didn't want cake & ice cream, but I did want to join the festivities without being an ol' stick in the mud. LOL

i have acouple boxes on the shelf..one says asparatame, one says maltodextrin. neither are anything i want in my body..

I did some googling for nutrition and labels on this. Nothing definitive.

I'd read the ingredient label too, and make your decision from there.

Ingredients vary based on flavor and if you get the premade cups or mix up your own. So read labels. IMO I use it very rarely, and that is usually only if I am making "dessert" to have with non-keto friends that have kids.

If I were to make something myself to be a quality keto treat I would make it myself with plain gelatin, a keto appropriate flavor/extract and swerve. But even with that, I limit my keto treats so as not get carried away with treats and allow them to be very occasional treats (birthdays and holidays are all we do treats around here.)

i wouldnt make a habit of it. i believe it has malitol, which is worse for spiking blood sugar than sugar is. use sparingly....check the ingredients. you never know when they might smarten up and change them!!

sugar free jello - 0 carbs; is it ok to eat this? I sure hope it's ok because I have SOOO many great 0/low carb ideas going wild inside my brain. LOL
