I had a look around the internet. It looks like the theory is that a high carb time shakes up the routine and somehow speeds body fat loss.

My guess is like Holly's, that it will fill your carb storage up for about 3 days worth. In other words if you were loosing say 2 pounds a week, carb loading will kill half a week of weight loss, and you will loose 1 pound that week.

If you do try it let us know your experience.

I have never heard of it...carb loading will kick you out of ketosis and then it takes 3-5 days to get back in.

I'm following the Carb Nite Solution diet, which is essentially a ketogenic diet, but with an evening of carb loading about once a week. Has anyone heard of it, or is anyone here following it?
