I use the food tracker the most. I do like the feature to be able to add what I want to track. so when I was low on iron, I could track my iron intake. I include my vitamins also.

I use the recent and favorites features a lot.

I like to see the trending reports to see the whole week.

I really haven't been using the SP tracker for nutrition, perhaps I should. Instead I track protein, fat, carbs/net carbs on an index card. I tend to get obsessive when I use the tracker and spend a ton of time sitting on the computer.

Avery,
Spark will track your Net carbs.

"Carbs (for low-carb diet)"

Look for it under "Add Another Nutrient To Track"

Here's a quick screen shot of the two pages BatGurl was talking about - this is more or less how it looks on PC website, but on my phone (as this phone browser has an option to show "desktop view"):

The page usually looks longer when I have the "use Spark Plans" toggled on, but I decided to turn it off because I never eat what they suggest at the time they suggest it.

Then when I clicked on the "Edit Nutrition Goals" in lower right frame, I get this page (showing my current ranges.) - but when you do it, it won't look exactly like this because I wasn't really in the editing mode for adding the other macronutrients when I took this screen shot. It does show what I ended up with after I fiddled with my numbers and then hit "save changes" button (lower right hand side.

Hope this helps!?

Julia

When you go to the nutrition tracker, at the bottom there is a link that says something about editing your nutrition goals(I'm currently on my phone, so reciting this from memory and can't remember exact wording) after you click on that, it brings you to another page. At the top of that page (I believe) it says something about track another goal. I click on there and do it each time for carbs, fiber, protein, and fat. It asks you for a range of what you want for your goal. I put in 20-30 for fiber, 60-125 for fat, I can't recall what I did for protein and left the fiber at their setting of 25. Then when you track a food, the page will have columns showing you the fiber, carbs etc in your meals. At the end of the day, I minus what I had for fiber from my carbs and get my net carbs.

I hope that helps, if not let me know. Tomorrow I can go on our computer and give a better description if you need it.

Yep, what Holly said!

on the nutrition page, with your meals, go to the bottom under tools and settings. Click on "edit nutrition goals" and go in and set what you want for each thing. (i do fat, protein, and carbs) and what calorie range you want to be in. dont forget to click save changes when done. You can also ask them to plan your meals or say no planned meals.
then go back to your main nutrition page, and under each meal, type in what you had. there is a database, but you can add foods if they arent there or you dont think the info is correct. thats it!!

How do you track what you eat on spark people, and his do you get net carbs right?

This is not a test, I really don't know how to do this.
