How long have you been eating Keto? How many grams of carbs per day?

If your training before was with a standard diet, and you've just switched (like less than a month) then i would expect some issues in the transition. I have the same thoughts as MOMMAKAT12.

I view all carbs pretty much the same. Yes sugar might get digested quicker than starch, but in the end it is all the same. I too wouldn't look to carbs as the answer.

I do wonder if weight lifting and Keto are not a great mix. Keto is going to give you long running energy, and weight lifting needs bursts of energy, which is more carb oriented in my mind. But I have no experience in this area, just general thoughts.

I'm not sure if I enter Keto because I do not use strips. I assume I do because I have been loosing weight. I do the high carb day to refuel midweek but go right back the next day to low carbs. When I carb up I get my carbs from oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and berries. Not junk carbs. I thought if I kept my net carbs below 28 I would be in keto. Someone said they stay below 10 a day. What is an example of your meal plan for the day? I can never get below 17. I get my carbs from peanut butter, avocados, and veggies(broccoli, cabbage, green beans, celery, lettuce, zucchini.)

When I started keto in January I was exercising almost daily and I couldn't keep up. I got winded easily and was moving slowly. I stopped exercise except for daily dog walks for the second month. For month three I went back to boot camp and felt more like myself. I don't know how long you have been on this WOE but you might want to give yourself a break for a couple of weeks and try exercising again after a rest.

A problem could be that since you do the carbs one day a week you don't really train your body to burn fat. Do you get into keto?

I wouldnt blame keto if you have been on it a while and this is happening..and i sure wouldnt add carbs. i'm generally under ten a day, i dont do a lot of lifting but do lift some 3 days a week. today i spent hours raking..no problems.

Is anyone lifting several times a week while doing keto? I lift 5 days a week, spin two, and rest one. I've been doing this for awhile and have felt fine... energy up, not hungry. All of a sudden I'm getting hungry following the same plan. I have felt faint at work today, and took an extra rest day last week. Just feel like blah. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong or I should up my net carbs. I keep them 30 or below. One day a week I have a high carb day. If this continues I'll be rethinking this.
