ALITTLETLC1,

I don't know if this will help. But if you can jump on a computer. I changed the Nutrients that my nutrition tracker tracks! I have added Fiber, and Carbs (for a low carb diet). and I track glucose, Alcohol, ethyl, lactose, maltose, sucrose, Galactose, Fructose and the vitamins. When I input a food item ...I put every single thing on the label. I use other peoples input ONLY if it agrees with the package I am holding in my hand when I am searching for it..

Then I click "Daily Nutrition Feed Back" to see the breakdown of my day or just look at weekly progress chart at the bottom

I tried to reply earlier to this but my phone wouldn't allow me :( Anyway, thank you for the response. I wish spark had a way to allow you to put in the sugar alcohols and I wish it would figure net carbs for us. I was trying to use the app on my phone and it won't even show me fiber so I can subtract it....oh well. I appreciate that you responded.

the sugar alcohols cancel out the carbs..can you enter the swerve as 0 carbs? or is there a place for net carbs? net carbs would be zero...

If you simply want a more accurate carb accounting for yourself, just use the 'calculate recipe' feature and leave the Swerve out of the recipe ingredients for a quick idea of what the recipe macros are. For foods I eat often, I then use the 'enter food not listed' feature to add the recipe/macros to my own favourites.

If you are entering the recipe into SparkRecipes, first use the 'enter food not listed' feature of the food tracker to enter Swerve into your own favourites as a zero carb product, and then use your favourites to enter Swerve into your recipe. Your adjusted 'favourite' will be reflected in the recipe macros more accurately.

Dr. Jason Fung: "Holy consensus, Batman. With so many 'experts' from Michelle Obama to the USDA to virtually all of the medical professionals (including doctors and dieticians) agreeing that 'Eat Less, Move More' is the way to go, you might think that it is 100% unquestionably true. But here's a queer thought... if we all agree that we know the cure for obesity, and we've spent billions on educations and programs - why are we getting fatter? In other words, why does this 'cure' suck so bad?

I was putting a recipe in to spark recipes and the recipe has 1 cup of swerve (erythritol) in it. According to the back of the package it has 3 grams of carbs per tsp. The back of the package says that it does not affect blood sugar and is considered non-impact. When I put this in the recipe builder it is going to calculate the carbs from the swerve in to the total carb count. How do I handle this?
