if you were previously a larger size, your metabolism may have slowed down.
As fat is the richest source of empty calories in your diet, I suggest you cut back on fat in the first instance,
Cheers
You can still eat lots of green salad

I had my calories between 1200 and 1500 and was gaining weight. Had my thyroid checked, it was fine. Don't know what else could cause this.

I agree with Elizabeth on perhaps increasing your calories. I don't lose when my calories are low. I was/am going through a tough time right now and couldn't eat and my calories were coming in at around 800 most days. I stalled and even gained. The last couple of weeks I have been reaching for 1,200 and lost 4.5 pounds last week.

Female. I use a Nova Max Plus that tests for both blood Glucose and Blood Ketones, just have to change the strips. Glucose strips are not expensive, but Ketone strips are almost $2 each

Sorry, I was glancing at your post and my mind went to A1c tests. Brain blip. It's good that you are thinking of being proactive with the diabetes. I see my father with 1/2 of one foot gone and now dealing with sores on his good foot and it spurs me on to be proactive also.

Have you thought about sharing your food tracker?

Male? female? thats a pretty low calorie load for what you are doing...
the keto strips are notoriously wrong from what i've been told, once you are in ketosis. Theres an explanation for that on Ketovangelist.com
but the blood sugar readings...the 127 is fasting? i would agree with you on that..how are you testing? i'm not diabetic but that if thats fasting i think its high..i thought prediabetic was between 100 and 125. James??

I'm not diabetic, but 5 immediate family members are. I switched to keto hoping to avoid or delay diabetes. My doctor did the test for diabetes and said my body reacted exactly as it was supposed to and not worry about it, we'll just watch. I test my blood sugar every morning (just curious) but when I see 127 -I see pre-diabetes.

Everyone is different, but I agree that you most definitely should be seeing results. I'm not diabetic. James and others on this group would be able to help you the most in respect to that. The only thing that comes to my mind is to make sure every little bite goes into the tracker and to share it so that we can have a look at.
I hope you can find the reason that you aren't seeing results.

Forgot to mention, I walk 5 to 6 miles a day on my job as a custodian in addition to the running and weight training.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've been eating Keto since November 1st. In 5 months I've lost 3 lbs, my blood sugar has been all over the place ( 3 days ago 97, last 2 days 127) . Blood Ketones on Friday - 0.4, Saturday -1.0, today back to 0.4. I have no energy, my workouts are suffering. I run 4 days a week, and lift weights 3 days. I've been tracking my food. Calories between 1000 and 1200. Macros 73% fat, 22% protein, 5% carbs. Body fat Currently 28.8. Why am I not losing weight? Any ideas?
