Last time I did a high protein/moderate fat WOE I broke on my neck, chest, and face from the toxins. Now with this Higher fat/moderate protein/low carb WOE I am once again breaking out on my neck and face. Tis all good. I'm not worried. I'm totally adjusting. I've lost six pounds in two weeks. So, I'm doing what needs to be done.

I appreciate everyone's input. This is wonderful to have people reaching out.

I get breakouts or bumps so I drink plenty of water to help flush whatever toxins is coming out away. emoticon

And I put coconut oil on my skin in those areas to help..Excuse me if this is TMI but I place coconut oil in any skin folds to keep those areas healthy

CATCHINGBLUEJAY,
as for breaking out in minor rashes ....

Body fat can be a place your body stores toxins to get them out of the way. Sort of like a salt mine where you store nuclear waste. Out of the way, and you hope nobody every goes there.

When your body is force to burn body fat, which is hard enough to switch too, you may also face those toxins (my wife did, and she also had rash issues). So it isn't that low carb is bad for you and that is causing rashes, no, it is that you are facing what was also stored in that old body fat.

Sadly there is no easy way out, not that I know of. But not loosing excess body fat, and just plain keeping it is probably unhealthy in the long run. Choose the lesser of two evils, and make it through the rash issues. It isn't low carb that is the problem.

Thanks to the both of you. Years ago I did a high protein AND moderate-fat diet and never had this feeling. However, I did break out in minor rashes now and then. I feel better today but still have that "far away headache" and well, weird feeling this time. I"m guessing it is because I've never done a high-fat diet before. My body is just adjusting I'll continue to do the chicken bouillon and go buy some Powerade to have on hand for the next few days. I'm still working out the "personal" kinks in my thinking. lol. My mom is having a worse problem with figuring out what to eat and how much. She has officially assigned me her meal planner. haha. Her resting glucose numbers are now ranging from 108 to 120. We'll take that and are happy with that since this is just her first week.

Yes, that sounds exactly like me when I entered ketosis.

A tad weak, a tad dizzy. Also lighter sleep, strange dreams and waking early. Sound familiar?

Chicken bullion probably had salt or sodium and helped restore a balance. It took me about 4 days to feel back to normal, and about 2 to 3 weeks before I dared to try to do things that required exertion. Take extra salt.

It just takes time.

I've never experienced Keto flu in the past but I think I might be experiencing it just a tad this time around. A slight headache, a "tad" woozy. A touch of diarrhea (that passes after mid-morning).

I drank a cup of chicken bouillon and it seems to have helped. Since I've never experienced this before I am not entirely sure what to do about it.
