Great list! Probably don't help for the restaurant but I definitely am checking several of those out!

Thanks Ramona for the recipe link. There are a couple that I am planning on making down the road. Also if you haven't tried zoodles... you need to. They are excellent and easy to make. I use my kitchenaid attachment and it does an excellent job.

Somehow my last response double-posted, so here's a bit more information. 'I Breathe, I'm Hungry is a really good keto resource, and these recipes may give you a better idea of how to navigate the menu, and what substitutions may be possible (I somehow doubt zoodles will be available to you, but you never know, LOL).

Dr. Jason Fung: "Holy consensus, Batman. With so many 'experts' from Michelle Obama to the USDA to virtually all of the medical professionals (including doctors and dieticians) agreeing that 'Eat Less, Move More' is the way to go, you might think that it is 100% unquestionably true. But here's a queer thought... if we all agree that we know the cure for obesity, and we've spent billions on educations and programs - why are we getting fatter? In other words, why does this 'cure' suck so bad?

We love Thai food... and while they use some sweet sauces and marinades, 'sweet' is not as prevalent as it is in Chinese food. To avoid 'sweet' altogether, curry is your best bet.

Also, Thai/Chinese restaurants are really good for honouring requests for "no noodles/rice, and add extra veg" instead. If we know we're going out for dinner, we usually eat zero carb all day, or fast until then, so that if the veg is a little on the high side, no harm done. Also, even if you go way over on your carbs, one modest meal isn't such a big deal (though expect a significant water gain on the scale the next day). Simply fast the next day, or do a fat fast for a couple of days, and you'll be right back on track!

Here are some detailed resources to help you figure this out:

Being Gluten Free... I always go to their website to get as much prior info as I can so as to make informed decisions. I'm not used to eating Thai food, but I would think the sauces would be a problem right off the bat. Hopefully you'll find info on their wetsite!

Hubby and I are kid free this Friday and looking to go out. We have one standby which is an all you can eat buffet. They always have roast beef etc but not very classy and the veggies will be lacking.

Wondering if we could go to Thai and would curry be OK? Not sure what to watch out for.

Update: we have scheduled this... meeting a friend for Thai so really hoping someone has suggestions on what to order!
