James, in that pancake recipe, you have for oil "like corn oil." I thought anything corn was off limits for keto, because it's basically a grain. I can't eat soy because of my thyroid. Have you tried any other kind of oil with those pancakes?

OK on this page:

dash.harvard.edu/bitstream/handle/1/

65541/Cooper06.html?sequence=2

It says "Furthermore, this problem actually already exists for carbohydrates, since the Nutrition Facts panel may list zero grams of Total Carbohydrates even when there are 0.49 grams. "

Again not an official FDA site, but ....

doesnt say anything about carbs...i am in the food industry..and i'm not trying to be argumentative..but if there is ANY i MUST list "less than 1" That may be a NY thing not a USA thing, but I bought this cream in NY, so I would assume they have to go by the same food service rules.
ok i just went and looked at the nutrition site..where it says there are 3 grams of carbs in a CUP of whipped cream...so it really is negligible in normal amounts (cant imagine eating a cup!!)
i put in 2 tablespoons..still zero. 4 tablespoons, which is 1/4 cup...had the less than 1 gram carb. so i'm not going to worry about it...

Not an official FDA site, but the American Heart Association:

Basically if less than 0.5 grams in a serving, then you can say zero.

That looks like 15 ml (roughly 15 grams) and at 2.8% carbs that comes to about 0.4 grams of carbs, so I suspect they rounded down to zero.

I think it is a matter of rounding. For example the nutritiondata website:
nutritiondata.self.com/facts/dairy-a
nd
-egg-products/51/2

Has 2.8 grams of carbs per 100 grams of whipping cream, so roughly 2.8% of the weight is carbs. I had two tablespoons in my coffee, roughly 30 grams of cream, roughly 1/3 of the 100, so roughly 1 gram of carbs, probably a little less. Indeed if your whipping cream serving size is a tablespoon (15 ml, a little less than 15 grams) then it can well be that the carbs in that are just less than 0.5 grams and they rounded down to 0.

I'm curious if the calories work out on you cream's nutrition label. How many calories in the serving size? How many grams of things. If you multiply grams of protein and carbs by 4 and fat by 9, does it add up?

Milk itself, if you spin the amount to 100 grams:
nutritiondata.self.com/facts/
dairy-and
-egg-products/71/2

is 5.1% carbs, so if you skim the cream off the top it makes sense that some carbs are still in the cream.

I really don't care about the gram of carbs in my coffee, 0 grams, 1 gram, it is still virtually zero. I'm just carefully tracking today so that MENDUS can see how I think when I do track.
