Happy happy birthday to Stacy!!!! Hope you had a wonderful day!!!


I did go to the gym for my Wednesday training. Weight training on shoulders, biceps and triceps..ugh! Then finished it with TRX abs...do well with the sit-ups but really struggle where I have to pull my knees into my chest !! 50 of each...

Feeling good though!! My gym got an infrared sauna....think I'm gonna try it out next week...guess it burns like 700 calories in 30 minutes!!! I get two free sessions so in gonna take advantage of that in June!!!

Today I am getting back on track. I had a great bday weekend with too much celebration and on the other end of the scale, went to my childhood best friends funeral. emoticon I ate way too much and gained 2#. I need to get out of this funk and get back to living life to its fullest. emoticon

Well today was a bit more stressful than I planned..:(.


BUT I did make it to the gym...yay!!! I did the random program on the treadmill...inclines varied from 3.5-9.9 and increased the speed about every ten minutes up to 3.9....burned 525 calories in 45 minutes....I was pleased with that. Have my training tomorrow...bowling Thursday and gym on Friday....that's my plan....

Hi Everyone!

Back on track for me today. Only 8 days of school left! I am really going to try and spend the month of June getting back into a regular exercise program and staying in my calorie range. Also need to make better food choices when out at a social event. I tend to throw it all out the window and just splurge away.

Hey gang! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I was very, very lazy! Been a long time since I've been this lazy. I did housework and laundry....hated how I looked in pictures though! It's amazing how hard you work snd see changes and the look of yourself can only make me think of how far I have yet to go! :(

I think the rest has been very good for my knees though. They are not sore nor tight, so I guess that is good....my gym bag is packed and ready to go for after work!

The first part of my week was good with tracking and working out. Friday was a lazy day but had good tracking and healthy eating. Saturday was not good at all. Started today with a short workout and hopefully I will make good choices with my eating.

Ok. Today was MUCH better. We had our family/friends get-together and I did pretty well with my eating. I had my 2 fruits today (fruit smoothie for breakfast and berries with fat-free cool whip at the picnic). I didn't do as well on my veggies, I had about 1 total with the veggie tray and the pasta salad (I picked out the tomatoes and peppers and ate those).

I DID get my workout in, though late, I did it. I did day 4 of the Hourglass workout (since I missed it yesterday). So I feel much better today than I did yesterday.

I also drank all of my water today, that was one of my goals because that is what I have a hard time with on the weekends/holidays.

Hope everyone is staying on track the best they can this holiday weekend!

Stacy, my DD took a family living class where they had to decide what career they were going to take, what apartment they could afford, what things they needed to furnish the apt., and daily living expenses. It was an eye-opening experience and made her want to make sure she chose a profession that allow her to provide all the things she needed to live.

lazy day here worked last night hard time in sleeping the dogs want to announce everything to me so finally got up turned on the tv and they watched The Longest Day calmed them down while I grabbed a few winks so pizza for dinner now get ready to head back to work can not say how calm things will be here the fire radio keeps busy so my husband answered some and I did the other one so thinking may be a busy week end hoping for some rest before I get off Monday morning I am hoping to get to go to Memorial Day services at the military cemetery near by but long trip if sleepy. Hope all have a safe wonderful weekend the weather looks so nice.

I was so emotional at son's Graduation.. lol ... He is 20 now.. He's working hard and saved for a while to get his first car, set up w/ins, bought his phone & pays that bill and so on..

Very Proud Of Him... He says it's practice to be responsible for when he leaves home.. emoticon

He's now saving again.. Very proud that he did get my organizational skills! emoticon

He wants to take my advise on having enough saved up to supply most everything he will need.. Basic furniture needs, things he would use most in a kitchen, basic cleaning/household supplies and even his first grocery shopping trip. Plus, extra bc of how expensive Starting Out is with rent, getting everything turned on and so on..

I actually had a decent day of eating, considering we went out to eat with my DD after her graduation ceremony. It's hard to believe she is all grown up and ready to leave the nest.

Leslie....I had a BAD day too!! Ran errands after work and ran out of time to get to the gym... Eating horrible all day..:(. My gym is closed the rest of the holiday weekend.

So I gotta do something tomorrow. Hubby and I are going to the Reds game tomorrow night so I need to do something in the morning and do what I can for food choices ... Hope to do the same the rest of the weekend! Probably one of my worst days in a while!

emoticon Horrible, Horrible, Horrible day... Today is usually the day that I allow myself some of the things I don't generally eat.... but not ALL of them. First I had my favorite, Baldinos Italian Sub and ate 3/4 of a WHOLE sub (not a half like I usually do), a slice of pepperoni pizza, some jelly beans. Yeah, not a good day. Oh, did I mention workout, NOPE. I actually think I am going to do something for about 10 minutes now and stick to my NO EXCUSES. But it has been a really bad day. I will get myself back on track tomorrow, I have come to far to let it all go now.

I think this is where I am to chat about my Fruits and Veggies
emoticon

I had a subway salad with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, and banana peppers, I believe that was about 3 veggies. I had pineapple for lunch, but I forgot to get bananas when I went to the store, so I only had one fruit today.

I logged my fitness already, those workouts are awesome.

I'm bitter-sweet about the weekend, I love having the extra time off, but with the family get-togethers the will-power is tested. I am bringing my low-fat burger (Laura's burger, I do not like turkey burgers), my own berry dessert (I plan to share), made with frozen (no sugar added) mixed berries and fat-free whipped cream layered. I will either bring my fat-free pringles or baked lays since it is so hard to say no to chips. And I will probably splurge a little, but this will definitely help me stay on track!

Another late workout day, but its ok, at least I'm going to get it in.
Finishing up my Subway salad, then rest for a few minutes (let my food settle) then on to day three of the Hourglass workout.

Final day of school for our 10th-grader today, the other two will be done tomorrow, had the youngest's award ceremony tonight (honor for the whole year, YAY), then to Wal-Mart (BLAH). But - NO EXCUSES - I WILL get my workout in tonight!

Hey gang!! Today's training was surprisingly not legs! He did chest and back strength training! Increased my weights again...:)
Rained SO much today ...like 2-3" in a two hour time frame!! Think it's gonna be nice the rest of the week!

Get to go to Columbus for a meeting tomorrow, chiropractor after and then bowling night!

Staying on track pretty well this week. Going to try to get my workout in a little earlier tonight, I've been doing them so late, then staying up too late because it is not good to go to bed too soon after exercise. But with my "No Excuses" plan, I have to get it in when I can.

Taking an excused weigh in today. Yeah get to not do officer duty either. I am co leader it entails sitting up front. So hoping this week off will kick me in butt. Been binging and not exercising. I need to get my weight in control. Weather is nice. Little cool but sun was out so put plants out.
June the garden boxes will be finished so get to put dirt in boxes and start planting. So that means I better get busy and get my plants and decide what I want to put in there.
One more weigh in for contest. We need a summer one. I think it has help us. Anyone want to throw one out there otherwise I can search for one.

Proud of myself today! I went to the gym and did 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill. Considering I worked over a little bit and really just wanted to go home!!

Oh well. Tomorrow is leg day...ugh. Kinda hoping for weight :strength training versus squats and lunges... Guess I will find out!!!

Had a really good day, busy day at work, but my mood was up - which always helps.

We had a good time bowling tonight and then I did 20 minutes on the elliptical.

Going to start the Hourglass Workout Plan tomorrow, feeling pretty excited about it.

Hey all! It's Monday and was actually sunny today! Yay!

Did my training today....intense arm/shoulders! Four sets of a big variety of moves. My trainer pushed me and increased my weight! Ugh! After all that had us finish the workout with 3 sets of 10 hand release push ups! My arms were soooooo shaky! Think I am gonna feel this one.

Have a meet and greet tomorrow at my job....opportunity for the community and foster parents to meet me as their treatment director. Hoping we have a good turn out! Then hope to go to the gym for a little bit for some cardio!

Off to bed....sleepy here!!

well had breakfast I guess it is time to load up and head to the roof again so we can get this done before the next rain storm that hits again it does put a damper on it and worry it may leak in the process all at the same time. orning feeling a bit better but still have backache May go to chiro but they closed on Tuesday so may wait until Wednesday, Thursday have to bring mom to an appointment had windows open so did not turn air on. More of a fresh feeling anyways. Birds are singing. I need to get my tomatoe plants and other things will plant in garden . may get a box and have on my deck.

A new week.

Making a new contest for my chapter with butterflys. As that is our theme next SRD. So fall rally is usually geared toward it. It suppose to rain today so hoping to get a walk in before rain or will have to get on treadmill today. Maybe go walk in a mall. But I need to get my walk in today.

Who every wants to do challenge for ten days pick a goal each day and write about it. It may even help mine is get a walk in no matter how many miles minutes just get one in.

Yes, I agree Stacy, you put so much time and effort into this group. You don't have a co-leader and keep things active, fresh and fun all the time. I think you will make a GREAT personal trainer.

I have been planning to start T25 tomorrow, but I just went to JessicasmithTV.com something I found here on SP. What an awesome site of all kinds of free workout videos. I came across workouts for your shape, I've always been kind of confused weather I am a pear or an hourglass, but with my daughters help, we determined that I am more of an hourglass. They had an explanation of each one and gave a celebrity for each to compare to. So now I'm thinking I may want to do the Hourglass Shape Workout Plan first. It is also a four week program.

I think as long as I am doing something it will be fine either way. And I still plan to do T25, but it is 8 weeks (Alpha and Beta Plans) so if I do it following the hourglass one it should be good. That will give me approx. 3 months of workouts and I think the Hourglass one may be slightly easier than the T25, but I am not sure.

Hmm, decisions, decisions... LOL. I will figure it out by workout time tomorrow. If anyone has an opinion, let me know!

pamapple I did have a garden a few years back but since my male dog eats everything in site we had laid off till he got older however not to sure when that may be he just turned 3 this month at 5 weeks old brought him home he waddled out into the garden and ate the water can sitting out in among the plants he was only 2 pounds then a month later it was the red jalapeņo pepper off then stripped the plants as much as he could no matter how many times I caught him and took them out then he just cried and whimper he like that heat of the plant so he ate from it all just stopped may try later

well back up on the roof to help put on our metal roof 2/3 s done everybody have a good day

Felling pretty good about May still. I only had a .8 loss this week. I could tell I didn't get all of my workouts in and ate late a couple of nights. Our neighbor had a break in, single mother and they took everything of any kind of value what-so-ever. They were so devastated, the little boy is only 9 they took his gaming system, all of his games, his TV. That was a non-workout night for me, we were helping them through that until late, it was my first night since my "no excuses" motto that I really could not get a workout in. My husband stayed at the neighbor's while she talked to police and detectives and the kids and I took the little boy out to dinner, but it was after 9 p.m.

Back on track this week!

Jathuener, you sound like you are growing quite a few veggies in your garden. I would like to start another garden... I have only grown green beans and strawberries but would like to branch out into growing herbs and maybe cherry tomatoes.

Stacy, how exciting to be moving into a home where you can grow your own garden. Do you have plans to work anywhere else after completing this last chapter at Cracker Barrel?

I would like to join your May Challenge... do you post here for it? I haven't had a chance to look around the threads yet.

Today, I had a great day... did some housecleaning, went to the gym with hubby, and made panko-encrusted salmon, mediterranean quinoa salad and a small tossed salad. For dessert, had some vanilla frozen yogurt with fresh pineapple. Yum!

well I may say that anything may beat I was able to carry several vegetables in my hands but they were so cute purple red and green bell peppers, cucumbers and onions with no problem a small salad but they were good to eat great taste for first try however my puppy seemed to enjoy the garden all to well he is getting older may can try again but he still looks like he could eat anything in a moments notice.

I'm no pro, but I did learn a few things from my Uncle before he passed away.

He showed me how to grow herbs, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, peas, carrots and a few other things.

I'm very good at flower gardening, so veggies shouldn't be too much trouble!?

Stacy wish you well in finding a place that time is exciting but tiring as well. Wish I knew how to grow a garden I have attempted and we all had a giggle I did get results just everything was mini version but we did enjoy what we got learned a few lessons attempted the following year and my puppy ate all my red jalapeņo peppers decided need to rethink that thought so did not try last year would consider but not sure but wish well on the selection.

I cannot wait for next year! (sometime in Feb/March) bc we will be moving and I can't wait to have a backyard and be able to garden again!

We did not have time in Arkansas to find the place we wanted here so we had to quickly settle to just get back here in Dallas/Get to work....

We are in a Duplex with a front yard but no back.. We just have a patio and then a garage off the patio.. (we are leasing as well.)

Hey gang! Had a nice 3.5 mile walk with my hubby this morning and then harvested some lettuce from our garden and got it washed and prepped. Looks like salad tonight, plus an apple and watermelon ad grapes -- I got the produce part of the challenge down! Logging is a streak, five work outs a week and shoot -- I need one more for the challenge!

Hey all.... Checking in! Went to the gym and yep, I was right... Leg day! Ugh!!! Squats, lunges, reverse lunges oh my! About half using a weight bar! He said the goal was to push past the point where u think u can't! Yep, legs were quivering ! He said we would hate him tomorrow and since I have to bowl tomorrow night, probably hate him more... Lol!! Started using a protein supplement (drink/ powder) as I am not getting enough protein... He said I'll see results adding that in once a day or following a workout...we will see!!

I've been tired all day! Not sure why and it's raining again here ....ready for sunshine!! But rain tonight, tomorrow and Friday....oh well...:)

Had to put the T25 off til next week, do to so many activities because of end of school (1 week left after this week). However, my new motto is NO EXCUSES! and it is working for me. I always have a reason NOT to, so I've decided that the only thing that is going to keep me from my workouts is an absolute emergency or I'm just too sick. I do not give myself "rest" days, on my non-workout days, I at least do something for 10 minutes.

It was so late tonight that I so wanted to just not do it. But then I saw NO EXCUSES! and did a 20 minute SP strength video and a 10 minute HIIT video and I feel great! I will get to bed a little later, but so proud of myself for sticking to it.

today is my son 28th birthday wow time sure flies. anyways we did subway today. but i am having pizza later. but will make a salad to go with it.

I did lose .6 of my gain from last week. i will get rest off next week. so september i need to work on the losses more. so more exercise and more journaling. emoticon

Leaving for Minnesota in the morning and will be back on Saturday. My youngest niece is graduating from community college on Friday. This isn't the only trip we're taking up there. We will be back up there in July for the same niece that is graduating on Friday for her wedding. That is making me feel old. Plus while we're up there this time we will be giving my grandniece (daughter of the niece that is graduating and getting married) a big bag of gifts. Toys, clothes, afghan, and sock monkey hats. We haven't been up there since July 2013 when my grandniece was 14 months old. She's 2 years old now.

had a fun day in town found a pair of croc sneakers white with a blue stripe and a gator plain and simple yeah! Went for lunch a chicken salad wrap. On to the vet to learn more about heartworms my fairly new adopted female dog has been positive for 4 years but with preventive care at the shelter but she brightens our day each day a brindle lab with bulldog ears stay alert each moment of the day I am usually have labs that wear their ears backwards and really don't care which way they lay that takes energy to move them. Went to Walmarts to look for new book to read found a book I hope to motivate me to get things more balanced in eating right and moving more something to read on the ME time is wanted laid back in a chair as the kids ( the dogs ) alert everybody in the area what is new to them or call out to the neighbors to running up and down along the fence line. Well going to relax for the rain is coming soon so get snug up in the chair and read whatever till time to go to work

Hey gang...quick check in....

Went back to the gym yesterday...training on upper body....yep I am getting really sore!! Difference in not going for a week, but vacation was worth it...today I did 35 minutes on the treadmill....tomorrow will probably be training on my legs... Will make for an interesting bowling night on Thursday!! Lol!!

So tired right now so I am gonna turn in!!! You guys are awesome!!!
