I have the same distrust in doctors, so I've always been one to trouble shoot any issues on my own before ever making an appointment. That being said, a few suggestions if you haven't tried these: (1) Arnica: It's a gel that comes in a white and green tube. It's great for soreness or pain and can be applied pretty liberally (not on open sores). I use it on my achilles and ankle. (2) Heating pad: the heat will increase circulation to areas like your elbow, which might be contributing to the pain. If that doesn't help you should ice, then heat (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off). (3) Ankle support: some of us have weaker joints and need more support than a sneaker can give us. Using an ankle brace when you're doing higher intensity work isn't a bad thing.

In the past I have had a unique set of injuries with weight loss including bone fractures in my feet, sprained ankles, and once a dislocated shoulder. A lot of it had to do with my nutrition and the nutrients I was (or wasn't) getting. I needed to increase my B12 and vitamin D significantly.

I hope everything works out. Good luck.

I bare my windowed self untamed and untrained, looking forward into the beauty of the day.

No I haven't seen a doctor. I really didn't think there would be anything they could do about it. I figured it was just from not being active. I have a distrust of doctors too, so that keeps me from making an appointment. I always talk myself out of it with the thought that they won't find anything anyway. (I had that a lot as a kid/teen).
I suppose I'll think about making an appointment. I'm tired of feeling this way and would love to see some improvement.

Have you been to a doctor with these symptoms? These are not typical overweight symptoms.

I've been working out over three months now and really thought things would improve more than they have. I still am stiff and sore in my joints when trying to bend down or squat to get something. My Achilles tendon is giving me trouble, so now I have to stay low impact and can't do some of the stuff I was doing. My right elbow has started hurting and so now I feel like I can't do my upper body stuff either. It just feel like I should be doing better than this! I want to be able to push myself more. I hate feeling like I'm going backward. :(
