cutting out carbs most of the time except for gluten free carbs like potatos, rice, and corn products when I feel like adding them to my diet.

tracking ALL of my food every day (to keep me accountable for those "pinches" of this & "smidgens" of that) & moving more every day but Sunday (day to rest)

I have started hiking on weekends to try to keep my fitness going, I used to have really bad lapses and not feel like resuming my routine on Mondays

I set up appointments to exercise both at the doctors 3 days a week and at home 2 days per week. I am doing everything I can to keep those appointments.

I set my ticker to my highest weight of 210 lbs because it gets upset and doesn't want to save when I gain weight instead of lose.

I think eating several times a day of healthy snacks has contributed the most to my weight loss. If I don't allow myself to get hungry, I don't crave the junk food

I have given up Dr. Pepper. I used to drink diet dr. pepper all the time, but everything in the news these days tells you how bad those artificial sweeteners are. I switched to the real sugar Dr. Pepper a couple of months ago. The first time I had to log a 20 oz Dr. Pepper on my nutrition tracker, I knew they had to go. It's been hard. I still want one every morning. But I remind myself how I had to suffer through the caffeine withdrawal headaches and then try to drown the craving with water.

As an added bonus. It is cheaper to eat out when you order water instead of a soda.

Just bought a dvd and have committed to doing a 30 minute morning home yoga practice 2 X/week in addition to the 2 sessions I do at the yoga studio each week when I am home. Am staying at my daughter's this week and have already done it twice so may up the ante when I am away and can't get the studio sessions in.

I've promised myself 4 days a week of exercise for 30 minutes and feel more relaxed as a result. I've also found some great, and refreshing, substitutions: spaghetti squash instead of pasta, bananas instead of Soy Joy bars, and carrots instead of crackers.

I bare my windowed self untamed and untrained, looking forward into the beauty of the day.

01.02.13 - 10.05.13: 88 pound successful journey

Drinking more water. I was able to drop the sweet tea with no fight and drink all water now. The sweet tea is just too sweet/syrupy now.
