I went to a wedding shower today too. Fortunately the buffet table was salad, rolls, a platter full of roaster veggies, rice, pasta, and sautated chicken. I passed us the rolls, pasta, and rice and thoroughly enjoyed the rest. I did however have a cupcake for dessert and a glass of wine. All in all not so bad.

I am keeping my calories low but I am having problems with the total fat. I have to find some different snacks and stop eating chicken and meat because when I eat them I go over on fat. I am not eating enough protein so will have to only eat beans for protein to keep down the fat.

Still struggling at times. Some days I am good about eating and do well for several days, but then my exercise is not good. On other days my exercise is good but my eating is bad. Then some days it all comes together and both eating and exercise are good. I just have to keep putitng the pieces together and hope I can continue on the "right" path.

My first week on the program and I've lost 2 lbs but more importantly, I'm finally "getting it!" I'm actually enjoying planning my healthy meals for the day and getting in some exercise daily. I track all my food and moving my body.

I cant do the real yoga,but on the wii they have it.Its modified a little but i love doing sun salutation,also the warrior pose and the deep breathing poses.

Scared to death that I'm going to have a heart attack so I am fully vested in following sparkpeople and all the wonderful coaches and friends. I calculated my body fat percentage a couple of days ago. 57.7%, I am GOING to lose 40 lbs. No more excuses.

Hi team, I'm doing a bit better today. I got out of bed this morning after a good sleep and did Nicole's Body Barre workout on the Body Sculpt DVD. I am still finding it hard to balance, but I need to accept that I have to move at a slower pace and get the essentials down before attempting the advanced.

5/20/13 I am on my third week. Joined SparkPeople one day and SparkCoach the next.
Hi everyone, hope all y'all are doing good on your SparkCoach... I am doing well and what is surprising I am not hungry!!! WOW I used to go to the fridge every hour or so and just stare in it for something good to pop up then I would go and stare in the cupboard, but now the only time I go to either one is when I am getting my healthy nutrition. To me this is a huge relief and a time saver. Edna

Your right I have a bottle in the freezer to do my roll, but the main problem is that he wasn't the doctor that helped with that foot, but now he is just saying that I am having the same with the other, But I know the pain is not the same or in the same place on my other foot. Well thanks for listening, will have to find a new doctor. I hate that, (no fun! emoticon ) Hope that you have a good weekend My Prayers are also with Boston and Texas

Good evening everyone.

Thinking of all those so close to Boston. I have been following on the news and keeping you all in my prayers

As far as plantar fasciitis - I suffered for a long time a few years ago. My cure was orthotics and lots and lots of stretching exercises (especially rolling a ball under my foot). I found the stretching exercises on the internet and I truly believed this helped.

I have kept pretty close to even for the last week as far as weight goes. Am finding that when I eat out I can balance it out by only eating 1/2 portions and ensuring that I do a cardio workout that day as well. Am learning to be satisfied with the smaller portions. After all, this is not about dieting, its all about a lifestyle change!

My first 3 days were great, followed my plans and exercised. Didn't get a chance to fill out my tracking page though on day 2 and 3. Yesterday was a bad day and I wanted to eat everything. Received a phone call from my dad. Taking mom to the hospital, she has pneumonia in one lung. So the day just got worse. But I went out to dinner with a group of co-workers and my boyfriend and had a great time. Our daughter stayed overnight at the babysitters, my son stayed at my dad's house and my oldest daughter came home later that night. Even though the day was bad with food and exercise and my mom, that night with my co-workers and boyfriend what a relaxing night. Good food and laughter.

Today is another day - so far so good. Feel really good. Heading to the fitness center at lunch time and then after work pick up my daughter (can't wait to see her) and then go to hospital to visit my mom.

I was SO tired last night, but instead of just flopping on the couch like I wanted to, I popped in the Fit, Firm & Fired Up DVD and did that instead. I felt so much better when I was done! I did the Day 1 as well as the bonus 15min. AND I also got in just over 10,000 steps yesterday! Feeling very proud of myself today! emoticon

I am happy to report that I am 30 pounds lighter today. I finished the initial Healthy Eating sessions of SparkCoach. I am now going through the Plateau Busting lessons. I go through a coach session every day. I have a good handle on tracking diet and exercise, and drink water like I should. Since I finished the Spring into Shape challenge, I have worked more strength training into my week....so things are going well.

I am trying to eat better and drink lots of water. Also trying to be in bed at a reasonable time. Today has been hectic I say my therapist, bought a new pair of shoes and went grocery shopping. I put and ace bandage on my heel, foot and ankle so that I could were my shoes without so much pain on the back of my heel. The new shoes work really well with the ace bandage on and I hardly had any pain. The shoes are small enough the I will still be able to wear them when I no longer need the ace bandage. The only thing I don't like is my shoes have laces. It is hard to tie the right shoe.

Meg, Sorry to hear about your foot. I went with a problem with my 1 before (plantar fasciitis)
and now am having trouble with the other. But not the same area of pain, but the doctor said it is the same.But he didn't treat me with the first and I know that the pain is different emoticon So I might need to find a new doctor. emoticon Well have a nice shower and enjoy the rest of your week!

Astra Wish I had the answers, I have the same problem. I've been that way for the past few weeks. I'm also having an attack from my plantar faciitis sp exercising has been limited too. Some weeks I just have to forgive myself daily and keep plugging. I figure as long as I don't give up, even if I fall down occassionally, I get up eventually. I like your thoughts about going back to some baby steps. Sometimes just getting my water intake back up is enough to re energize my mind and body. The best thing I've found is to except the bad days as part of my process and not beat myself up over them. I just keep putting one foot in front of the other on this journey to health.

Astra, it sounds like you are really struggling, and I'm just guessing, but hitting the halfway mark and dealing with a separation sounds like a double whammy. I know we're supposed to get all excited about losing weight, but I have some emotional issues with certain milestones and tend to sabotage as I get close to them. For me, it's the big 200, I start to freak out about going below that.

Baby steps might be a great idea. Have you emailed a coach? They might have some good insight.

I can't seem to get motivated these days. I haven't done my challenge videos for 2 days and I really have no desire to, but I've committed to doing them and so I feel guilty. I am struggling in the motivation department. When I shop, I am looking at all the fattening stuff that I don't usually buy and that's when I'm not hungry. I am within a few pounds of my half-way mark and I am concerned that I'm on the verge of sabotaging myself. I'm depressed over my separation and even the anti-depressants aren't helping much. I'm also not sleeping as well as I could be and I don't want to lose everything that I've learned and built.

How do I stop this all or nothing thinking? Do I need to go back to baby steps?
