I'm spending most of my weekend, and week in the car. Friday I finished work just after lunch, and drove a couple of hours south to see my aunt. Although we went out for supper, we both had a salad. That helped keep me in my calorie range for friday.

Saturday, a little greenhouse shopping with my aunt, home again and then dig up a flower bed. Ate too much though.

Sunday, church this morning, then into the car for another couple hour drive east to see my niece. I am thinking of stopping along the way at a few places I know and do some short trail hikes. Might as well make the most of the day.

Monday, back home and to gardening. (The rest of next week will look a lot like this one for travelling too - north 6 hours, then 4.5 back, a flight and then 6 hour drive south east and two days later back to the airport and the remainder 1.5 hour drive home. Wow.That's what indecisiveness gets me.)

Hello Team! My brother (who is our company accountant) will be here tonight through Monday to close out our second quarter. On the plus side, we are taking Sunday off, even from church, and spending the day hiking in Tahoe. Should be a good workout.

One the less than plus side, we'll work all day tomorrow, but worse, all my brother eats is pizza and cheese dip. So guess what will be invading my house....he's not getting chips and dip unless he buys them himself, but I'm picking up the pizza on the way to the airport and nabbed a couple extra bottles of wine after work....oh my goodness, this will be tough as I am projecting to be down 5 pounds since May 1 on Sunday! Three Bite Rule is in effect!!

How he does this and stays in shape to run half marathons, and do triathalons, is a total mystery to me. He runs something like 6 miles a day...maybe it really is calories in, calories out. But MY body couldn't run 6 miles a day on pizza and cheese dip! On the other hand I have not tried limiting my diet to that....maybe I should! :D He also eats burgers and steak....neither are favorites of mine.

I will have to find and post a picture my sister took of his refrigerator the last time she visited. It is really funny - go check out my page! It will be there in a few minutes.

I had a great day and week. Tons of family time, lots of smiles, laughter, and hugs.

This weekend will be more of the same thankfully.

May the peace and blessings of Christmas fill your heart with joy and the new year be filled with happiness.

This week has been insanely busy. Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow. I rarely work on Saturdays but it's been just absolutely crazy and I need to take off at the end of the week to get ready for my daughter's high school graduation. Hoping to get out of there on time to hit the farmers' market and get some stuff done at home.

Sunday, we have 8 a.m. church and breakfast for the high school seniors!

Fun part of weekend is that my daughter in college decided to come home last night! I've got her started on shakeology and turbofire!

I'm still sore from yesterday, but my boss was actually mellow today. For once I'm in the "good box."

This weekend I have to get some cleaning done and on Sunday I'm going shopping for a recliner chair and a new bed (Lord, I love tax refunds!)

So how did your Friday go? Any major woohoos, successes, or struggles to share?

Pretty awfully.. I had some major clean up from my son (see my blog) and then we just ran out of time to shop or make any food.

My knee was throbbing with pain all day. I walked 1.2 miles and I hooped for 10 mins. I hit 8741 steps, so that's pretty good for a sore knee! Went to a potluck dinner and was careful, BUT I still ate some apple crisp and ice cream for dessert.

What are your weekend plans? Do you have plans to go to any event that will include food and if so, how will you handle it?

Concerts on Sat. and Sun. which will have a lot of dessert type food at the reception after. Not sure how I will do.. really not. I am trying to figure out how to resist at those. I can try to leave immediately after the concert maybe, but that is good social time, too. Hrm.. gum, maybe? I don't know.. Make tea?

You are worth having a healthy body!

This is a lifestyle change to be healthy, not a diet and not a sprint to get there.. one day at a time, one pound at a time.. as long as it takes, starting again as often as possible.
