Awww :( Sorry to hear about your Mother's Day. My husband usually sucks at gift giving and my son made me a card at school. I dont really want to spend money on things for me, because I guess I just dont need or really want anything, so I ask that they dont buy me things, but I DO make them get off their butts and join me in some activity or I make my hubby stay with my son so I can go enjoy some activity on my own :) Works for me! lol

I used to attend church, I miss it, but not the people. Maybe I should look into attending church elsewhere :) Nice idea. Wow, I think you did great considering how awful you could have gone with that! Nice work hun ;) XO

Awesome Suzy!
Terrific, Nixie :) Going to read it now.

How are you doing? - pretty rotten actually. Depressed that neither my son nor husband did anything for Mother's Day for me. Trying to get past it.. Gotta get moving and shower and get dressed and take a walk. I know it will help.

Did you do anything you're really proud of this weekend? Planning to?

I work on Sundays and I worked HARD. I did well. I also got about 2 hours of logged exercise on Sat. and on Sunday I hit 16,000 steps for the day! So even though I ONLY walked for half an hour for formal tracked exercise, I did a lot of other walking in the day.

Is there anything about weekends that make it harder than a typical weekday to stay on track?

church and working there all day means I have to pack a lunch, which is harder for me than being home.

Do you go to church? If so, does coffee hour challenge/tempt you?

Yes.. and yes, if I attend. We had a potluck dinner for all the Religious Education families last night and I did have half a slice of pumpkin pie and about 1/2 cup of Breyer's ice cream - a little vanilla, a little chocolate, and 2 Dove milk chocolate Promises. I was pleased that when I tracked it all it came to just 1950 calories or so, which is over my range, but not too badly. I ate very well the rest of the day!

You are worth having a healthy body!

This is a lifestyle change to be healthy, not a diet and not a sprint to get there.. one day at a time, one pound at a time.. as long as it takes, starting again as often as possible.

How are you doing? Quite well!

Did you do anything you're really proud of this weekend? Planning to? Well, not really.
I had a little time off I used for relaxing, talking to my friend in Minneapolis, and lighty working around the house with liberal amounts of white wine to keep things lubricated.

Is there anything about weekends that make it harder than a typical weekday to stay on track? Indeed. The problem with weekends is that I am right here, able to dip into whatever nonsense that will lead to carb, fat, and EtOH intake. On the plus side,I have the option of running 5 miles...

Do you go to church? If so, does coffee hour challenge/tempt you? I do go to church. It is a week highlight - I love my church family and I wish I could keep up with them at what they do for others! Coffee hour is easy - we have coffee. but I want to do more...I just missed our 'Compassion Weekend'. It's great - we cancel all s,.ervices and spend the weekend on projects to help the community. I didn't get to participate this year as I had company, but miss it!

In any case I'll be there tomorrow! Happy mom's day and I'll talk to you all soon. Love you -
Suzy.

Blessings, all!
