Way to go on getting back up again - even if it is the millionth or gazillionth time. If I didn't get back up after stumbling I would be long gone from Spark by now because I swear I am as much a klutz in my diet journey as I am in real life seeing how I stumble ALL.THE.TIME.

But quitting is the only way I fail.

Let's DO THIS!!! Tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to focus on only eating what I plan to eat (in other words - skip the extra snacking). What are you going to focus on tomorrow?

I get encouraged from your kind words I am slowly getting excited again about my exercising it is just hard sometimes to squeeze it in. I do want to take care of myself I hope all good from this moment on, I know I will stumble but getting up is the key.

One step at a time just like when you started! :-)

So often we get super excited at the "newness" of getting healthy and jump out of the gate riding an emotional wave that eventually runs into the shore leaving us feeling like "okay, now what?" Motivation is a super powerful emotion, but the reality is that CONSISTENCY is what will help us reach our goals. Motivation comes and goes, comes and goes. I call it my fickle friend.

Whereas Consistency is one of those kinds of friends that if I treat them right, they pay me off in dividends beyond compare. But it's not a one-sided relationship. To make consistency your friend takes WORK.

So let motivation cheer you on, but focus on a single piece of being healthy (tracking is a great one to stick with!) and do it consistently for the next month at least. If you stumble, just pick yourself up and keep going. But work on one thing at a time and before you know it you won't even have to "think" about trying - it will just be happening on a regular basis.

At any rate - showing up here is an awesome first step! You CAN do it!!!!!!!! And we're here to help!

I have gotten very sloppy in my journey and I seemed to be falling down a black hole quickly, I need to find my way back but don not really know how to get back. emoticon

Hey - we all stumble sometimes. I've been working at this for over 3 YEARS!!! LOL But the one thing I will NOT do is quit. I may forget myself, I may get sloppy with my eating, I may even slack on workouts. But I keep coming back because as long as I'm doing that, I'm still working towards my goals.

YOU CAN DO IT!!! Glad you are back to tracking - it really does make a difference!

Still alive and kicking for any one that may remember me!
So...did really well for about 2.5 months and then tripped and fell. Not too bad though,
just started in with the slight picking and just being a bit messier than usual.
I think my whole life follows this pattern...lol. I do not want to get on a scale (although just did a week ago, did gain about 3 lbs. and I know I should track it, but I am determined to be what I last weighed in at and next time I weigh myself I will hopefully be there..maybe a week or two from now?) SUCH A MIND TRIP and the colder the get I think the harder it gets, but I don't want to tell myself that. Lemme just drag my sorry ass to the computer and get it all down!
Thanks guys...for even a distant ear.
