Just in from a 9 mile cycle, decided to change from walking got a good 55 minutes of exercise. Nice route noting too strenuous except the mad dash to get through the traffic lights before they went red and succeeded !!

Another nice day here for walking or cycling thought no sun cream needed yet !!

Got another 45 minutes on the bike. Hoping I will have enough reading material to keep this up. I get through about 3/4 of a magazine per ride. Only have about 20 more backlogged mags!

Going to re-organize the garage to clear my weight bench in a few so I can start some strength training after I weigh in tomorrow.

Did 45 minutes on my stationary bike, with two interruptions- one to get the dog's frisbee from the back of my truck, and two to chase the 45 kids who came running down the street 5 minutes after the cops left from my yard. =)

Been getting 45 minutes of stationary bike a day, with 30 minutes of yoga about every other day. Thought my sweating last week was due to the 100+ heat in my garage. Now that it's cooled off, it's clearly because I'm burning the fat.

Set up Wii Active 2 for the first time, set it to 9 week plan. Made it 15 minutes through Medium Workout, emoticon and had to stop. Whew I think I should have set it to easy. emoticon Burned over 100 calories though, i checked the heart rate monitor against another I have and it stayed pretty close to accurate during the workout, though it got more accurate the closer i got to my Wii , doh.

This morning I did a 30 minute "sweat session" with Just Dance 3 for the Wii, then I did the sparkpeople 15 minute ab workout. First exercise in four months and I am SO proud of myself!!

I am strong. I am focused. I am capable of greatness despite weariness and pain. I am determined and I am grateful. I have been bruised but not beaten. I have been battered but not broken. The person in the mirror is my biggest competition but she is also my greatest creation. I must mold her into something STRONGER. Something BETTER. Something that is HUNGRY for life. For winning. For victory. My eye is on the prize.

I just finished my insanity workout for the day. I started last Monday and have been able to keep up with it 6 days straight. I'm totally looking forward to my rest day tomorrow and my fit test on Monday to see how I've improved.

I got up at 5:30 a.m. this morning to walk 2.5 miles with my hubby. It's waaaay too hot here to attempt outdoor exercise any later than that - unless it's water aerobics, which I did last night.

I'm finding I really enjoy the early morning exercise though... because no matter what happens with the rest of the day, I know I've done something good for myself!

If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!

Walked two miles. When I had to stop along the way I found a way to keep exercising like walking up and down a hill while waiting to get to keep going.

I did 5 minutes of calf stretches and 5 minutes of gentle Tai Chi arm movements.

Then I exercised my fingers by ordering some Tai Chi tapes. Will start with Tai Chi for Beginners/Seniors and go on from there. I have some mobility issues, especially since I broke by right shoulder 3 years ago. Don't know if I will ever get full motion back, so I have to modify many stretches and Tai Chi forms.

But I figure if I progress like the slow tortoise that I am, I will improve with time. I don't want to push myself too hard. In the past, I have always pushed myself to the point of injury, and then just quit exercising altogether because of the pain. Need to insure that I don't play that game again!

SLOW BUT STEADY WINS THE RACE is my new motto.
