Personal trainer day. She added two new machines I am ready for. Found them easy! Her focus was shoulders and abs. (need those abs!) She is moving so next week will be the last. Sure will miss her... She is so organized and my physical progress is due to her help. Not sure if I will move to someone else or just go it alone with the knowledge she has given me. I also swam for 20 minutes (laps and some water aerobics).

Did weights, ball, cardio, etc. with my personal trainer for an hour. Went down stairs this afternoon and repeated some of the leg ones and another 5 minutes of bike. Oh yea, I took a nap too! LOL

Today I did a personal best -- 2.3 mi plus 5 or 6 Spark video stretches/upper/lower body workouts. (Then took a 2 hour soaker!!! Put my computer and phone on live stream for the Olympics and chilled out in the tub.) Nice...

Went to the Women on Weights group for an hour and then cooled down by using the stationary bike (with no resistance) for 5 minutes. Hope to get back to the gym this afternoon to swim--kinda sore from this morning! I wish "I" could walk. Just can't do it without knee pain. Can't even use my tread mill. (It makes a great towel holder for the hot tub though!)

Wed. -- I went to the "women on weights" group for an hour, which is a low impact group workout that is led by my personal trainer. About 20 older women with steps, balls, light weights, hoola hoops, and floor exercises. I am just starting to keep up- this is the third week I have gone. It is a very dry, beautiful day so I know that this afternoon I will have to PAINT again. 47 more spindles. (It's by far the hardest workout this summer.) I'll treat anyone to Maine lobster and fresh blueberries if you want to take the brush from me!!!

Went back to bed this morning!! Ate lunch...and sprawled out on the couch to read the paper. Ached all over. Knees very sore. I was tempted to call off my gym time but knew that my trainer is very booked so I dragged myself to the gym. She worked me hard. Upped the weights this time---It was ok. Made me stay on the olyptical machine for 5 minutes. (longest has been 3) and I didn't die. Did leg things but can't track them as I have no idea what they are called. The pool was open so I hopped in after for 15 minutes of laps and floating! Feel fine tonight actually better than before the activity. Going to bed early!!! Linda

I just updated my fitness thing, and now it tells me to eat between 1500 and 1700 per day, and ain't no way i can lose weight eating that much. so i guess i'll maybe get yelled at every day.

hello all,,,,,,,,rode my bike a little over 2 miles but clocked a mile at 5 minutes, cause the tracker is by MPH not miles traveled, walked a mile around and around pond and woods, did 500 steps on LTT, need to go do some more. na wooman at work i had that message once and didn't understand it,,,,,,,,guess I basicly thought id i eat 1300 calories and only burn 300-400 i should be Ok, although i know we actually burn calories eating, sitting, and everything we do, so how do we figure , what is right?

Well today is Sunday and I have two more sections of railing done, 19 spindles more done. Slept with an ice pack last night!! Lessons learned today. Tie puppy or put her in the crate with non-consumable entertaining toy, paint the top of hand rail last so that you can use it to pry yourself back to standing, DON"T step in a drop of paint on the drop cloth and walk across the newly painted deck!, and Keep going and going, only 47 more to go! Think I'll just forget the bike today. Have a good day. Linda

Exercise for today!!! Summer is slipping away and I forced myself to paint. Who decided 30 yrs. ago that we needed spindles for the deck??? I'd like to say it was my husband but it was probably me. Scrubbed the deck two weekends ago---ALL weekend. During a coffee break I counted 87 spindles! (not counting the front porch). Six hours later I have 21 down and can't move. I have bad knees--very bad--and all that up and down, who needs the gym. Crunches don't compare. Glad to see painting was on the tracker list. Ha! I just said 2 hours. However, chasing puppy and yelling--"get out of that, put that down, come back, spit that out, get off the counter, what are you into?, bad girl, etc." was not on the list which is the activity I have done most this summer!!! Have a good weekend! Linda

. emoticon WOW! I walked 2.4 miles for 39 minutes!! The furthest I've walked and the longest I've exercised in years -- 20 years. But as I was entering my data, I could see under the window that was open, a message in red from Spark. I couldn't see all the words because the open window was blocking some, but it was a warning about my caloric intake vs. calories burned... I know this can be serious but I can't find the red message. It disappeared when the open window closed...I never thought I'd say this, but today I've got to eat MORE of the healthy foods I select emoticon

Last night in the scorching heat I went for a 50 minute walk at a decent pace. It was good once I was done...too hot though to keep going! I think it was about 31C here.

Great workout guy's. Managed a nice walk, bit later in the day due to meetings, today but lovely all the same. Getting a bit muggy here but I guess not as muggy as with you all,

Got 35 min of yoga, 30 minutes of weights, and 30 minutes on the bike today. Too hot for my normal 45 min on the bike. =)
