I've been weighing in on Mondays. It probably worked against me this week since I went frm 152 to 153. I was out of town this weekend, so way off my schedule and eating. I think it was water weight, but I was determined to record my weight for what it was and not excuse myself. Hopefully this next Monday will be much better.

Oh goodness! I recently moved out of state and started college, completely throwing off my plan. I am going to restart, and have already lost 3 lbs this week. Hopefully I will be able to keep going. Stay strong everyone!

Long time no post for me. I wasn't able to lose much for a while due to an injury, but now all healed and back in the game.

With that said since May I've lost 11lbs, so from now it's weekly or as close to weekly as I can get!

I lost 5 last week since I rededicated myself but stayed the same this week. I am exercising a lot and really feel the difference in my muscles.

Way to go team!

I was traveling in developing countries for July and August and did not have internet access, but I'm excited to continue following your progress!

Stats: Female, 5'4", 28 years old.

Goal: From 152 (07/24/2011) to 125 by December, 2011. DONE! December 4th weighed in at 124. In 2012 I've been maintaining around 122, which is a thirty pound loss. My BMI has gone from 26.1 to 20.9 since following the Spark plan!

Hi, first post on this team for me, mainly because I was limited to using my phone for Sparking and couldn't access team pages, so was feeling a little overwhelmed at first and gave up for a few weeks. I'm back to stay now, so will post the only three weigh in results I have -

May 20 - 66.5kg. (starting weight)
Aug. 05 - 65kg. (- 1.5kg.)
Aug. 14 - 64kg. (-1kg.)

I'm in the same boat Jansue! I slacked off this week. Didn't go to gym, Didn't buy in fresh food, threw calorie counting to the wind, had a few nights out with friends. Felt wrecked so tried to perk myself with chocolate!
I have put on two pounds, that I totally deserve.
This week, and last week efforts all wasted.
So I'm facing up now and moving on. Hopefully the next time i get the temptation to slack off. I'll remember how crappy I feel today.

Wolfie, I was reading that when you start exercising more, your muscles hold on to more water.
So it is worth measuring with a tape, to see the real picture.

I went on vacation and gained 3 pounds and am working to get it off. Hang in there guys. They say that Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. One of these days I guess it will finally hit home that like it or not I can not eat whatever I want and lose weight!!!!! emoticon

I'm the same weight this week. It's very frustrating, especially since I only worked out three days a week at 15 mins when I started Sparkpeople, but now that I'm working out more I'm not loosing any. Boo! Stay strong everybody, I'm in the same boat.

I didn't plateau exactly Laura, but I have been having slow weight loss.
It is frustrating when you don't feel that your efforts are being reflected in your results.
You can't let it get you down though! You have to keep plugging away.

Anyway Last week I did just what you are suggesting. I upped my fitness level, and I'm trying to eat more protein. I,m aiming for 1.4g per kg a day.
2lbs down at the end of the week. Into One-derland. I'm officially not obese anymore!
Delighted.

Today is a new day and I will begin again. Yesterday started out great, exercise--felt good, healthy breakfast and lunch then out for a nice time with my daughter in law and I ate too much Mexican followed by a big bowl of ice cream to drown my sorrows at home. Today will be better. No wonder I am losing so slowly.

I weigh once a week on Monday. Keeps me from pigging out on the weekend (which I had a habit of doing). I have been on the Spark People adventure for a month now and have lost 8.5 pounds. That is the most I have lost in quite a while! I have really enjoyed all the help I have received and already feel so much better. One of the nicest things is that I feel I have better control over my appetite. I have a way to go but I really believe that I will reach my goal. I have been inspired by so many of those who have been on the adventure and have been so successful. The BEST thing is that the helpful information is healthy and backed up by nutritional and medical advice. I see why people stay with the program!!!

I used to go to a gym regularly and at that time (after a year and a half of going 3 days a week) I was only 5 pounds away from my goal. I actually was zoned out and so focused either on what I was listening to, music, a book or lecture, and my exercise I hardly even noticed other people after the first couple months. I started out obese and like I said ended up so close to my goal. Ihope you are able to not be self conscious at all in time and realize if people do notice you they are likely feeling admiration for the fact that you keep showing up and sticking to your exercise program. I only wish I had. Now I feel like I am starting over but I will begin again and I know I can get there. Good luck.

I have joined a gym and got my self a personal trainer to start a weight training.
I'm a little bit intimidated to start off, the other gym users seem so clued in!
If I lose another 8lbs, I'm won't be Obese anymore.
It is worth being a little awkward to earn an achievement like that.

good job on the losses.

I lost 0.8 lb this week putting me at 6 lbs gone since coming back to SparkPeople.
I have also signed up for the SparkPeople virtual 5k the end of July so starting Monday I will start training for that so wish me luck. I will be doing the 5k walking not the least bit ready to run it. I hope some of you will join in with me. emoticon

good job on the losses everyone. My scales are going the wrong way this week. Hope they turn around before Thursday morning. but I have been walking everyday and doing my cardio rider everyother day.. My eating is off some so need to work harder on that end. I am not giving up this time.

Dana awesome loss so far.

last week I had a small gain of 0.2 lb but it is gone along with a few buddies. My weigh in day is on Thursdays at my T.O.P.S. meeting but I do keep check on my scales during the week. so far since coming back to sparkpeople I have lost 4 lbs not where I wanted to be by now but better than when I started.
