Well, my weight remains the same this week, but I kinda ate alot last week...so that's ok. I am making a Spark People dessert for our meal at the cottage this weekend, hopefully it is as tasty as it looks in the cookbook! Looking forward to some swimming and kayaking at the cottage!!

Hope all is well, looking forward to hearing from everyone with their progress. I biked with a friend for 90 minutes today, pulling Elijah in the trailer behind me. What a Workout!!! We did stop to pick some wild raspberries along the trail, mmmmm...delicious!

Been awhile since any posts, I hope everyone is doing ok! Tundralodge, I hope you are feeling better! I have been keeping up with my workouts and nutrition, except for when I was in Berlin for my reunion. I had to eat Shepard's... I figure for the 2-3 times a year I go there it is okay! I hope to head of everyone's progress!

Went for a 90 min bike ride today, averaged 12 mi/hr, burned 799 calories...wow! Hope that everyone is doing well!

Skipped the Sole Burner today, still recuperating from my mandatory! emoticon
I did my strength exercises though, and was grateful to have the morning with my boys before they headed out on their camping trip. Now I have to do my Chemotherapy Renewal course...yay!! Possibly dinner with my mom and stepdad tonight. Happy Mother's Day!!! I am so blessed to have my 3 beautiful boys, I hope that you all have a wonderful day!! God bless!

No time to walk last night, so busy!!! Ended up having to work until 11am today. I am just BEAT today. I did go for a 30 minute, slow walk with my boy...but I did the stairs like 4 times last night. I hope you are all doing well with your fitness/diet this week!!! emoticon

Busy night last night, barely got a 10 minute walk in. Then I had a meeting after work, I just woke up and I am about to hit up the 28 Day BootCamp DVD again. Retirement Dinner for my husband's coworkers tonight at Doxbee's. Great Food! Will have to control my portions!!

Happy Sunday! Heading to church this morning, then home for a quick lunch, then to Oconto Falls because Greg's Aunt is visiting from Minnesota. Not sure what I will fit in for a workout there, probably just running around outside with the kids or a little walk. Have a great day everyone!!

My diet was pretty good until I decided to get dessert yesterday. But the brownie was so chocolatey and delicious, plus I split it with my my hubby and youngest son! Did clean my house and go kayaking today, awesome! Great job on the stairs, and your night does sound awesome; I have always wanted to work in pediatric oncology, although there is not a major calling for it in my immediate area. Maybe someday when we move. God bless you for all you do, and keep up the GREAT work!

My diet was so so yesterday but I worked last night and a coworker and I did the stairs. All together I did 17 flights of stairs at work! Woot woot! Time to get ready for another fun filled day at Riley children's hospital. Oh on a positive note, yesterday was the prom for all of our patients current and past. It was so fun to see all the kids dressed up in their finest and having a carefree good time! Some nights my job is AWESOME!

A little disappointed that a gained 1 lb this week, but I know that I did not burn as many calories last week and had CRAZY food cravings!! I am already off to a great week this week, and I am sure that I will be back on track. I have been VERY sore from the 28 Day Bootcamp DVD, but that seems to be improving now. Usually when I work out at home I am barefoot, but this week I started wearing my sneakers, and that seems to be helping with my knee issues. I hope all are doing well!!

I restarted watching my calorie intake yesterday. I had slacked when I worked bc I didn't pack a lunch and all we have on nights is McDonalds. Yesterday I ate under 1500 cal and I did 40 min of Turbo Jam. Dude I'm sore! That video kicks butt. So far so good today lots of running around with friends planned. Have a good day everyone. :)

How were the stairs, Audrey? That is one thing I have mastered since starting SP!! I take the stairs every day that I am working. Walked a 15 minute mile with Tundralodger last night!! emoticon Tonight I am blessed with being on call, and praying to stay that way...would love to go to church with my family in the morning! Great Job everyone! I'm touch and go this week. I might have started off doin too much bc the last 2 days I have been incredibly tired and hungry. Oh well each day is a new day to begin again. Boom! I kicked butt today. I spent the morning with my son and friends at Starbucks, had lunch at McDonald's, worked over an hour on the treadclimber, and then spent the evening with my family and friends shopping and eating out. Fun day and I didn't go over my points at all. Yippy! Now to sleep.

Good luck with the running. I always like the idea of running but it hurts when I actually do it! Lol. I'm doing awesome so far on my food today and I feel good after getting some sleep. Wades sleeping now so on to the treadclimber I go! Thanks for the encouragement. Have a good night at work.

We all have those moments...that's basically how I felt most of the weekend. It's a new week, time for a fresh start. I know that we can do better!! Working tonight. Slept horrible last night, which was good, I guess, because I took Elijah to the babysitter and got in a pretty good nap until my brother came over. Did my strength exercises and am getting ready to hop in the shower before my dentist appointment at 2. Actually volunteered to start running with a neighbor (as long as we take it slow). I don't know if I am cut out for running, but I will give it a try. It might be fun with a friend after all. emoticon

Well today I sucked. I was so tired and very hungry all day. I splured for dinner and never truly worked out. I played with Wade but I never really worked up a sweat. So I'm going to bed now. My challenge this weekend was food...I was hungry all the time, and especially craving swweets! I had a pretty good workout on Fri and Sat, but Sunday was kind of a lazy day for me. We went to 8 am church, and I was dragging all day. I feel much better today though! Now if I can just get these cravings under control!!

It's rough switching from days to nights immediately. I'm alway tired on Monday's but this is much worse than usual. I only had 4-5 hrs last night. Wade just fell asleep and I'm going to have to take a nap with him instead of work out. I WILL do something active this afternoon! If I post it here I will have to. On a positive note I signed up for WW today. So far so good but I don't really know what I'm doing yet. I do have some people interested in losing weight at work but no one on SP that I know of. I have found the more active I am in these groups the better I do so I hope to keep posting almost everyday. I hope that isn't too much? I like to chat so post back! How was everyone's weekend? What did you do good and what did you find a challenge?

I hope you had a great weekend at work!! It is helpful to have someone close to you to talk to and help encourage you; that is an advantage for me, joining SP with my coworkers. We are sort of like our own WW team. We support and encourage each other, walk together. I am glad you will continue to participate in SP as well, I definitely feel it has been a great help to me!!

Today is Friday! I only work two days bc the special weekend pay compensation is like working 3 days when I actually work 2. I just dropped down to part time in March and I'm loving it. It has really helped me balance work stress and home life and now I feel I have no excuse why I can't get myself in shape. Well time to get ready. I'm still researching WW and I think maybe going to the mtgs might help as an extra way of staying accountable. I'll let you know what I decide. I'll never leave SP and the support I get here though!

Thanks for the heads-up on the Treadclimber!!!! Definitely gonna check one of those out!

Funny you should mention Weight Watchers. I thought I'd join, myself, but since I've been doing essentially the same thing here at SparkPeople, and I haven't had to shell out the bucks to do it, I'll stick with this. I was actually researching their online program when I stumbled across SP....and never looked back. Personally, I have nothing against WW, and I know of a few colleagues who have joined, and are successful. And, when I can find WW food products on sale, I often buy them. WW is one of the better programs out there, but I'll stick with SP for now.

Luckily, a few days after I joined SP, I was able to convince BB and the other members of the team to join me, and now I have more motivation than I thought I'd ever need....LOL

You're a 'weekender'....I missed that earlier. At various times in my nursing career, I've been tempted to do that. I'll bet it makes being a guilt-free Mom a lot easier! And it's great you can still fit in time out with friends!

Great that you had a good first night! So, today's hump day and tomorrow's Friday, right????

I'm working this weekend as always, headed to bed now. Night one was good. :).

So I absolutely love our treadclimber! I can always talk myself into doing it because I can just walk and I work up a sweat bc I turn the incline/depth to a higher setting but it's way better than a stair machine. I do it during Wades nap and i have it in front of our tv so I finally get to have control of what is on tv and that also makes me want to use it more.

I worked out 3 days this week and I went out with other nurses from work Thursday night and danced the night away. I'm feeling strong and like I can actually fit this working out thing in every Monday thru Thursday during nap time. :)). Now to look into eating better. Anyone ever have luck with weight watchers? Did you do it online only or go to the mtgs? If we go to the mtgs our work will completely pay for it and online is only $17 a month. Thanks for any insight. And everyone have a great weekend!

Looks like a low-impact day for The Lodger. (Too much menopause when I was trying to sleep!) emoticon

Since we had some rain, I hope get out with the tiller in the garden in another day or two. That might be just the 'oomph' I need to break yet another plateau. Although, thanks to the Lab with the urpy tummy, I'm getting a good workout with the carpet shampooer!

BB....really glad you like the DVD!!! Thanks for the heads up about the Cardio Boxing segment. No running or jumping for me, but I'll have to check that part out.

Audrey....how do you like your Bowflex treadclimber? Since running is out for me, that is one intriguing piece of workout equipment! Pricey, but what the heck. I'm investing in ME!

Really enjoying the Cardio Kickboxing on the Spark People Cardio Blast DVD...I wish I could set it to just repeat that segment for about 30 minutes! Thanks again for the video Tundralodger! What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I am having a picnic with a friend tomorrow, and then my oldest is babysitting a 1 year old tomorrow night...which equals baby time for me, which is always fun! Will probably do some hiking, biking or both weather permitting over the weekend. Not much else planned...perhaps we will finally find time to watch "Courageous"; I only bought it for our anniversary in January!! I have the Spark People 28 Day Bootcamp DVD, found it for $10 on Amazon. It has some calorie torching cardio workouts. Tundralodger also gave me the Spark People Cardio Blast DVD, which is really awesome. It is broken down into 10 min workouts, or you can choose a combo that is 20-30 minutes. I am just trying out the different workouts on that one. So far I really enjoy the Cardio Kickboxing, but the Hop It Out kicked my butt!! Although hopping and jump roping burn some major calories!!! You can reach your calorie goal in like 15 minutes!

We just went on an hour long walk around the neighborhood. Walking a 21 month old and a skittish Sheltie always keeps me on my toes even if the pace is touch and go. I'm feeling tired today and I'm hoping lunch will reenergize me so I'll work out during his nap time. What work out videos do you like the best? I hope you kicked that cardio videos butt BB0617!

Welcome Audrey!!! 22 minutes is GREAT!! I am having a difficult time getting motivated today, it's rainy and yucky!! Will probably break out the cardioblast DVD for my workout today, although I was hoping for a bike ride or something outdoors. Have Elijah home with me today, which does make it more difficult when I can't include him in my workout.

Thanks guys! I did My first work out yesterday on our Bowflex treadclimber while Wade was sleeping but only got 22 min in until he woke up. Better than nothing! On my way. :)

I am leaving for my vacation Friday afternoon. I am not sure how much I will post during that time. It is my goal to keep up with my fitness and nutrition while I am gone. Keep up the good work here...I will miss our walks. emoticon

OD'd on raw veggies yesterday, had an allergic reaction. Eventually, I'll get this figured out!

But, kept my calories under 1800 for the day of nephew's wedding - and yes, I had cake!
