Hi I'm on day 3 trying for a full 30 days, I still am working out all the amounts, times and ahhhh how this will work while cooking for a family of 5....I'm hopeful!

So today is my weekly juice fast day. I made a different juice for later this evening that I found on a website: green tea, honey, lemon, carrots and an apple. I haven't tasted it yet, but it sounds good.

I drank warm lemon water upon arising and after walking this morning I came home and made my morning juice: apple, pineapple, spinach, parsley, carrots, celery and ginger. Oh and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It was del.cious.
My afternoon juice is apple, kale, parsley, cucumber, ginger, carrots and celery with a sprinkle of tumeric..

I begin my extended fast Saturday.

No longer do I rush the process; instead I embrace and enjoy it!

Have faith in God.

So far into day two: I had my hot lemon water at wake up and then I made the (Orange Category) Carrot, Apple, and Lemon Juice for breakfast. At 11:00 I will have my coconut water and then around 12:30 or 1:00 it will be mean green for me. I had body aches, hunger pains, and a bad headache when I woke up this morning, but the hot lemon water and breakfast juice helped the headache a lot. Hunger pains and body aches are gone and the headache vacillates from low-grade to moderate.

I'm new to this Team so I am including my daily plan so you all can see: Thanks for making the journey with me. Success, good health, and happiness to you all.

Wake up: 8 ounces hot water with lemon or ginger

Breakfast: (Orange or Red):

Mid-morning: 16 ounces coconut water

Lunch: (Green):

Afternoon Snack: (Red):

Dinner: (Green)

Dessert: (Purple or Orange)

Bedtime: Herbal Teas

Throughout the Day: Lots of Water

(Can substitute red apples for beets)
(Peel: lemons, oranges, beets, ginger root)

Makes 1 (16 oz.) Serving: Green:
2 red apples Makes 1 (16 oz.) Serving:
2 carrots 8 Kale Leaves
1 lemon (peeled) 1 cucumbers
OR 4 celery sticks
1 beet 2 green apples
4 carrots 1/2 lemon (peeled)
1 oranges 1 inch (2.5 cm) piece ginger


Red: Purple:

2 beets 1 beet
1 carrot 1 pear
3 celery sticks 1/2 cucumber
1 orange 1/2 inch piece of ginger (peeled)

OK...I fell out of the habit of juicing the past few months.
Its amazing the excuses I came up with to get out of juicing::
-Its too late at night
-I don't have any fruits or vegetables in the house
-I don't feel like cleaning the machine

Well tonight I got fed up with all of the excuses I was telling myself.
So, I got my butt out of the chair and went to the fridge and saw some apples and carrots!!!!
No excuses now! Make that juice! LOL
So, I made a carrot, apple and lemon juice, and man, it tastes GREAT!
I feel better already! I'm so glad I made that juice!!!

Today for breakfast and late snack carrot-apple-lemon (orange juice) if going by reboot with joe 4 apples, 4 carrots and 2 lemons ( peeled). Also, for lunch and dinner my green juice 3 handfuls of romaine, 1 cucumber, 1 handful of spinach, 2 stalks of celery, 2 apples. emoticon

This morning I juiced, 2 Carrots, 1/2 a piece of Jicama, and a Apple. This evening I juiced, 1 Apple, a handful of Spinach, 1/4 piece of Pineapple, and a 1/4 piece of Lemon, and a teaspoon of Green Tea Powder. I haven't started fasting yet, due to low funds. Hopefully next week, I will get to start.

I depleted my organics and made enough juice to last ALL DAY before tonight's trip to re-up at Target :D. ingredients

you know what? i came pretty darned close to falling off yesterday.. my grandson had the best smelling smoked sausage i i found myself headed straight to trhe kitchen after one..but i forced myself to drink a green lemonaide.. i see you lost 7lbs.. thats enough incentive to get started again.. Way to go, KITEFLYINGAL! Very inspiring. I am juicing two meals and eating a third right now. The Mean Green just turns my tummy so will try your two favorite juices and see what happens. Are these recipes you found on the Reboot website?

I am still losing about a lb per day.. got on the exercise bike yesterday for first time and hip was ok with it. time for some exercise now :)

For drinks I am pretty much sticking to green lemonade and gazpacho.. i mix things up in the gazpacho tho.. yesterday i added worchestershire.. omg that was so good.. i am also adding spinach to it.

Today i made a new to me juice from joes book watermelon, blueberries & chard.. it was ok.. wont make again tho it was just too sweet for me.. made the gazpacho again but added chili powder and worchestershire.. it was just like bloody mary mix I really love this one.. still loosing about 1lb a day. Feeling good

I started theday with the green lemonaide from joes book.. for lunch had the gazpacho and tonight i tried the peach pie recipe!!! OMG it is sinful.. peaches, sweet potatoe and an apple.. i put some cinnamon in the galss before i poured it.. what a treat!!

I just came in to say almost the xact same thing!! I don't know how the time slips by so fast.. I too ate on Mothers day.. the grandkids begged me to go ut with them.. but like you I am right back to juicing.. I found that I like the green lemonaide recipe in Joes book.

Well here we are again at 11pm on Friday, and I can say that I survived day # 3. emoticon

I was really worried about day 3 because of what happened last time juice fasted, but this time I did not have the crazy detoxing signs and symptoms. I tried to drink a lot of water all day in addition to my juice.
My juice consisted of the same old thing.... apple, carrot, cucumber kale, spinach, lemon, orange, celery, and ginger. I was pretty happy throughout the day. I got a little hungry but I drank some tea and the hunger pangs went away.

Well its around 11pm and once again, I must say that I made it through another day.

Today, my mood was pretty stable. I got a little irritable for about an hour, but otherwise, I was ok. During this time, I also had some metal fogginess, but otherwise I felt ok. I tried to increase my water intake because I know that this is some of the side effects detox kicking in.

I recall during my first juice fast, I had awful detox symptoms on day three. I had serious mood swings and even felt moments of anger and irritability...(I felt like I had road rage, but I wasn't even driving in a car... lol).
The feeling lasted for a few hours, but it felt like it lasted for days. emoticon

I am staying mentally focused on day three because I want to closely manage my swing of emotions. If I feel the irritability coming on, I wont be afraid. I will be prepared to be extra nice to my coworkers and not act irritable. lol I will also be sure to drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins which will help decrease signs and symptoms of detoxing.

Ps. Thanks for the juice recipe on the V8 Juice. I will have to try that. How many ounces did your recipe yield?

Way to go totalfocus... once you get past day 3 its a breeze.. I finally gave up coffee.. I am on day 2 without it now. I switched back to my looseleaf tea.. rediscovered my love of alishaun ololong... add in some cinnamon and its like a treat now.

I just cant drink joes mean green.. it upsets my stomach.. I have been using his gazpacho with tomatoes and each day i am adding more green to it. Today i used 8 tomatoes, 1 red pepper, 2 yellow peppers, 10 stalks celery, 3 clove garlic, 4 scallions, 4 kale leaves, 4 romaine, 5 carrots and 1/2 bunch od parsley (prefer cilantro). Smetimes i add cucumber too.. this is like v8 to me. I add some sea salt and cayanne pepper to the jug and stir it up real good
I usually add 2 limes but i forgot them today and its still good... I have 2 large drinks ready in the frig and just drank the remaining 8oz.

A tip from a long time juicer friend: after making a drink she doesnt tear the juicer down, she runs a glass of water thru it to rise it and then tears it down at the end of the day after she is finished juicing. I tried it finally and it worked great..probably wouldnt do it if the weather were hot tho. I am better off making a big batch for the day.

OK!

Its 11:55pm Eastern Time and its safe to say that I survived Day 1. emoticon

Today, I made several juices made from apple, orange, kale, cucumber, ginger and celery.
I also made a strawberry and banana smoothie.
All in all, it was a good day.
Looking forward to Day #2. emoticon

Day 13 down 20lbs.. now i need to incorporate some exercise i am past the weak lightheaded feeling.

@totalfocus... its good to see someone here. The group seems to be inactive but I am using it as positive reinforcement for myself. I have just recently tried some of the recipes in the book and am losing weight on a daily basis.

Hi! I'm new here!

I also watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, by Joe Cross. It was an amazing documentary! I encourage everyone to watch it.

I tried a juice fast for 7 days back in Feb. 2014 and lost 10 pounds.

Sadly, I went back to my poor dietary habits and gained it back. Lesson learned. :-(
Learning to juice is fun and your body really does start to crave fruits and vegetables.
I just need to work on the mental aspect and not spring back to my old eating habits.

I made a juice today. It included apples, oranges, celery, beet, kale, lemon, and ginger.
It was good and curved my cravings.

I will start my juice next week as I must prepare the kitchen and buy my groceries.
I hope to meet some folks along the way on this journey. emoticon

Well I am back to Sarkpeople after a couple years with health problems. I took off 114lbs here in 2007 so I know how to do it. I gained almost all the weight I had lost and kept off for years in 2 short years of complete immobility.

I am thrilled to see this team is here. I know there is a bunch of support at Joes site but I know the forums here so it will be easier here.

before Brkfast: a weightloss fat burner: 2 Grapefruit, 3 lemons, 1.5in piece of ginger, 1tlsp honey.

Brkfst/snack is: Makes 32oz
pineapple 596g
lime 96g
sweet potato 214g
grapes 100g
spinch 20g
blackberries 52g

Lunch/dinner makes 32oz
4 roma tomatoes
1 oragne bell pepper
3 carrots
1 cucumber
1 apple
1 scallion.

I didnt weigh this out.
