After using my Jack LaLanne juicer (centrifugal) for a few weeks now, I STILL get consistent results with juicing kale or spinach (or the like) by wadding the leafy greens up until they won't slide down the tube by themselves. If they're wadded up to where I have to use the pusher to get them down, and I do so slowly, I get lots of juice from them (and the pulp is dry, yay!)...

Just wanted to give y'all an update.

I posted this in the juice feasters team so sorry if it's a repeat.

Unless you have a masticating juicer your yield on leafy greens will not be optimal.
That is not to say that you can't get all you can and need out of them.

For spinach, I usually roll the leaves up and add them with a much harder freggie, maybe an apple or a carrot. If not I will just roll them as tightly together as possible(think cuban cigar) and feed the rolled leaves up as slowly as possible.

As far as kale, I found that if I remove the leaves from the stalk from top to bottom in one piece, and roll the leaves on the stalk (again think cuban), I get more juice.

I have a centrifugal juicer too, so I had to come up with a way to get all I could from my greens.

Hope this helps some, it's the best way that I have found to get the juice out.

I have been juicing for 2 short days and am curious if when you juice kale & spinach, do you get a very small amount of juice out of them or is it just my juicer. I put in 3 handfuls of spinach and got about a tablespoon out. With the kale it mainly gets spit over to the waste portion of my juicer.
