I feel good. I weigh 130.2 and my goal weight is 125. I do feel confident that I will get back down to that and more. I am going to exercise more and eat healthier. I started a new job on Thursday June 7, 2012. So I am happy I don't have to sit home and eat. I'll be moving around more.

apparently not. 134.5 today. I'm not discouraged though, cuz I just started my food plan. I ate almost 1500 calories, so I think it's to be expected.

In 4 years, I've lost 123 pounds. I should be hanging from a charm bracelet by now.

up 2# after injury that stopped all exercise. back to it now. major depressing bit.have not lost much on spark, but overall healthier eating, better stamina, etc. guess i need upkeep in mind that is the bigger goal.

Nothing works unless you do.

133.5 and losing! This is the lowest that I was before, and then I had that 3 lb gain. I hope I never have to see it again!

I'm feeling quite frustrated. My weight is going up and down. I'm suspecting that stress is contributing to the weight gain. I also think I may be a little dehrydated.

Don't get discouraged! I've been there so many times, but I try to get back on the bandwagon. Just work out a little harder, eat a little healthier and you'll get there! A positive frame of mind helps tremendously, too!

I haven't been on here since January. I have gained a couple of pounds since than. I need this accountability and am starting new in the morning. Yes, starting fresh on a Thursday not a Monday! That is new for me. I need the accountability, and this is the best place to start.

just starting my 2nd week....the first week I logged 4/7 days and exercised 3/7, so my goal this week is to log 6/7 and exercise 5/7...

getting a bike today, so that will add another option to exercising for me...

off to do 'summer school' work with fellow teachers planning for fall...YES, teachers DO work over the summers....emoticon

I'm happy that I lost 2# the first week, so hopefully that trend will continue with better tracking & exercising... emoticon

Thanx!!! Just realizing this now, when I don't think about it, it will go into my mouth! The thing is, I can binge on anything! Last night it was meat, which is technically healthy. Then an apple and organic peanut butter. So I just need to call it quits, I guess. Like no more snacking, etc.

Hi

two things I say to myself will this make me fat or thin. Is this going to make me healthy or sick. It can work. As I am gf there isn't always the temptation around but I have stopped bringing food into the house that is not good for me. As I still love chocolate but know it is a no no for me. Keep strong it isn't easy. I also drink a glass of water straight afterwards if I have put something naughty into my mouth.

Unfortunately I went up to 136. I do have my period, but I don't know if that's a good enough excuse!!! I haven't let this weigh me down though, (no pun intended!) and I'm continuing to stick to my caloric budget.

this is my 6th day, and I'm feeling more in control of my health-choices are easy if I keep my goal(s) in mind...the scale is but one measure of progress-my energy level is increasing, I'm more willing to stretch to try new things, and I feel more like my goals are attainable!

I was on this site before when this question was asked. The explanation is that as you diet your body has to readjust to what is going on. The best thing to do is to keep track once a week like you are and then look at how well you did overall for the month. As you track weekly sometimes you may lose 2 or 3 lbs, sometmes none and then also sometimes gain. If you only lose 1 lb a week on average that is 52 lbs. in a year. I bet it took longer than a year to gain that wait. So I would say to look at your overall weight loss for 4 weeks. If you lose 4 lbs that is great. Any more is a Bonus weght loss. Patince and determintion is the key. You are doing fine and I wish all the weight loss you want will be yors. emoticon

I feel great!!! I have lost 6 lbs. since May23rd. I have found in this short time that it wasn't so much that I ate too much, I was eating the wrong things. There has been times I have to had eat a little more to reach my goals.

Could someone tell me how to acquire the tape that is on the bottom of your messages that has the start and goal.

I'm feeling a little frustrated to say the least. I have been working out 5 to 6 days a week until the cows come home and watching my food intake. I just can't see to get away from 180. I lose 2 to 3 lbs in a week then go back up 2 to 3 lbs the following week. My hypothyroid issue is truly a bare. Thanks for letting me vent....

I know what you mean. I was kind of so tired & upset today. I was bad. I eat 2 slices of pizza & a soda. I know bad but it was diet. Good luck. I know you can do it also.

My Yesterday VENT......

A TEN hour doctor visit, that really only took 15 mns. Yesterday was my doctor check up rom when I fell & hurt my knee. My appointment was at 1:00PM. I got there about 12:30PM. So I waite. I took along my crochet bag & crocheted as I waited. At that mommet he didnt even go in to see the guy who had the 10AM appointment. 2:00PM came & went. He finally got to the 10am guy. I waited & crocheted some more. 3:00PM came & went. He was still in with the 10am guy. I waited & crocheted some more. 4:00PM came & went & he was still with the same guy. There was 4 people ahead of me. So I waited & crocheted some more. Then he finished with that guy & moved on to the next one. She took 1 1/2 hours. Then he moved on to the next one. 6:30, 7:00 & 8:00PM came & went. In between all theses hours the wanna be MMA fighter guys came & wanted to get their check ups because they are so SPECAIL . NOT. I was still waiting. By this point I ran out of YARN, had not eaten lunch or DINNER. Luckily I was now the only one in the WAITING room. I had to whole cough to myself. I had to the t.v. on, I was watching my favorite shows. I was laying down not comfy at ALL for the next 3 1/2 hours. Then came 10:45PM. I was told am next. It took another 15 mins before he got to me. I thought I would be there for the next 1 to 2 hours. But NO I was in & out in 15 MINUTES. I was happy & upset at the same time. I was happy he said my knee looked good. No call for seeing a knee doctor, just to take it easy & be more careful. I was also happy I lost 2... TWO more pounds. But yes I did,, the first & only meal I had all day was BREAKFAST at 7:30AM. My next meal wasn't until after MIDNIGHT. I was mad because when all the other ones got 2, 3 or even 4 hours of his time,,, I only got 15 MINS. Just like by that time I wasn't worth his time. I so need a new doctor & am tired

I am feeling positive. My first short term goal is 13 pounds and I am well on my way at 8 pounds down.

I feel like I have a handle on tracking my food, getting my water in, fruits and veggies, staying in my calorie range.

I just feel I need some sort of push with the exercise...I did three morning walks one week and have not really wanted to go again.

Slowly going down. Felt like I was stagnant this week, so I have skipped my weigh-in until next Monday. Trying to stay in my calorie range. Sometimes I manage. Sometimes I don't. But one thing I do know is I am definitely on the right track. This is a journey and I'm in it for the long haul.

Did You Know May 29th is National Coq au Vin Day? Coq au vin or (a.k.a. chicken in wine)

Have you ever tried this?
Do you have a recipe for this?
How do you make yours?

I have never had this recipe. I have never even heard about this recipe before today. But I do like chicken & wine. I do know that some recipes do call of meat, poultry or fish to be soaked in wine for added flavor & to help make them tender.
