R2SMOM- please don't ever feel like this is not a place you can ask for help. Who said this team was all about or limited to weight loss? I wish I lived closer so I could help- Idaho is a little far away, but my prayers are with your family.

I'm sorry to hear of your family's loss.
I don't live nearby, but here's a suggestion.
On LDS.org (the church website), you can possibly find out what ward they would be in if they were members, and also the Bishop's phone # may be listed, so you could call him and he would pass on your request to the Relief Society and such. I belive you would look under meetinghouse locator.

Before we moved here 6 years ago, we lived in a completely different area, and I was able to look up the info i needed so I would know where to go once I got here. Our then ward secretary was also able to look up the new Bishop's phone number & said bishop arranged for people from the Elders Quorum (and Relief Society to help us get things moved in when we got here. With my DH having a disability, moving in would have been next to impossible without their help.

It has been a while since I looked at that website, so things may have been changed, but hopefully not :).

Sorry for your loss. I don't live near enough to help you, but send good wishes your way.

Hi,
I was wondering if there are any sisters that live in the Burlington, Iowa area that could do a favor for me. My Aunt Margaret E. Mesecher died yesterday & although she was not a member, she was very much into genealogy. Another Aunt is getting the flowers for us, but I was wondering if I could ask a sister to take a meal over to my Uncle Wilbur Mesecher. I know this is above and beyond what we are are about. But I would really appreciate it. If someone could do this for me, I would be very thankful. I will try to get up there later this week.
Thank you in advance,
Lucy Walker
