I know I am not suppose to weigh myself. It is a hard habit to break. I have used it as my gauge for success for so long. I will try my best to resist.

You REALLY should be measuring inches rather than just relying on the scale to tell you if you are making progress. Yes, some people gain "weight" the first few weeks because they are replacing fat with muscle and muscle is more dense. Fat burning starts in Phase 2 and goes into hyper-burn in Phase 3. Even Jamie warns of this scale fake-out and I encourage you to stick with it. Even if you take measurements now, if you stick with it, you'll keep losing more and more inches and will fit smaller and smaller clothes.

I have yet to lose any weight. I actually have gained weight on this program. Did anyone else have this same issue? I don't "feel" like I have gained weight, but the scale says I have. Grrrrr..................Tomorrow I will be beginning week 7. I enjoy having a weight progam spelled out for me each day. Less to think about.

There are several fruits on the approved food list. yes, it says to limit and that its best to not eat them later in the day (evening). I regularly ate fruit in the afternoon (but not usually mornings) as I made my post-workout shake a full-on protein smoothie with fruit and protein powder (with water or almond milk).

Where does fruit fall on the plan? Is it considered a carb? I know Jamie mentions limiting our intake to twice a day, but that's about it.

I get it-food has always been the hard part for me too. Saturday I cleaned out the fridge-got rid
of stuff, but then today I still managed a bit too much of the "healthy stuff"-I've been slowly finding the way back to exercise...had the past week off so dog got his walks...had planned to hit the gym yesterday, but he tore up another toenail & had to be worked in at the vets...they
knocked him out so I spent the rest of the day plying doggie nurse-love the fur dude though!

The eating clean part is key in seeing change. Easier said than done, I know, but the junk works against you constantly. If your workouts are "spot on" but your nutrition isn't, you won't get the results you deserve. Good luck.

I'm am entering week 4. My workouts have been spot on, my eating on the other hand, not so much. With the holidays mixed in, I have done the best I could do. Working out has never been my issue, I really enjoy working out. Although, I have not pushed myself this much with weights. Eating has always been my struggle. Yes, I eat bad sometimes, but overall I would consider myself a healthy eater. What I do is overeat, even on the good stuff. Now with the holidays over, I'm hoping my eating will get back on track. I can't say I have noticed a difference yet.
