Fee's second book is out now on Smashwords, free for the first 24 hrs then gradually increasing in price. Clever girl.

Hello lovely folks!

My goal is to track nutrition every day leading up Memorial Day. I've been tracking as often as I can and if I can't track that day then whatever I can remember eating. It's not foolproof but it's usually the best I can do and honestly, I'm tracking better now than I have been! Yay!

I'm going to stop using that mouthwash when my tummy is a bit iffy. It's got castor oil in it! Why??

Fee uses it a lot; not only is it cheaper than driving to the supermarket, but with two small children it's a lot less hassle too! We go to give her a hand with the children when her husband is at work - he does odd shifts part-time - so we see her often enough that it's no trouble picking stuff up from her. Of course when the new term starts I'll be in Newtown every Wednesday anyway for my creative writing course, so can combine with shopping, and all the other stuff we have to do in person.

Think not. Do.

Checked on the website, the supermarket doesn't deliver to us but will deliver to my daughter, so all we have to do is arrange for a delivery when we're going to be seeing her next day.

We can however get supermarket delivery for very little, and as I've not got any more classes till the end of the month, we're definitely considering that. If you don't mind late evenings it costs 3.50 which is less than the diesel to do the 50 mile round trip. Could get a supermarket do-it-yourself takeaway I suppose.

lol wow! Thats a long delivery charge! I need to learn my lesson and not order out anymore cause it is expensive by where I live to.. I went to Pennsylvania this passed weekend and was able to do some food shopping at walmart which was awesome! Saved so much money! Im also gonna start looking through recipes again on spark to try some new dishes. I might have to fudge on them a little because I cant make big batches of food cause I have a little itty bitty fridge lol so cant fit much. But I need to try some new foods!

Luckily for us, takeout and eating out is very expensive here, so we don't do it. Apart from that, we live in the middle of nowhere, so getting a curry involves a 50 mile round trip. Delivery? You must be joking.

It is a good thing to remember all those soldiers. There was a sparkteam that an old friend of mine had put up a couple years back that was for sending cards to soldiers who are away and it was really nice. Her husband was a soldier and she started the sparkteam because his birthday was coming up and she thought it would be neat to remember soldiers on special occasions or just to send them some support, and a bunch of us sent her husband birthday cards. She posted up a picture and needless to say he was pleasantly surprised! Sorry had to share that!

My goal for memorial day for now is to cook at least 3 meals at home each week! It may sound like a simple goal but for me, since its just myself, I end up ordering out food a lot.. No good!

We do ours at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, which started with the end of WWI. However my writing also has soldiers of the Peninsular War everywhere in it. Countries have often not treated their soldiers well, so it's a good thing to remember at any time of the year.

So while the majority of folks (myself included) look forward to Memorial Day as the first day of Summer or for the BBQs, we need to remember that Memorial Day is to honor fallen soldiers who fought for this country. I'm well aware that a ton of Sparkers aren't American on Sparkpeople so we can all use this as the goal end date for our challenges as well.

Pick a goal for Memorial Day 2014: Monday, May 24th, 2014, anything you want. Stay on top of it, keep at it and on Memorial Day let us know how you did with it!

Here's to a new holiday/goal!
