Please let us know if you like the recipes. Jell-O- ? It has a lot of water in it.

I borrowed the book from my local library and plan to do both phases. I started today.
I typically am a follow it to the tee kind of person but since in week 1 of phase 1 there are 7 chicken dishes 4 of them calling for different cuts of chicken. I, like many work full time and have a family to take care of so I need to streamline meals during the week. so I made a few swaps for the different cuts of chicken to make it easier to batch cook the proteins if nothing else. What's with all the Jell-O

My goals are set for 2014 and I am ready to get healthy! I just turned 40, I just had a beautiful baby boy and I want to be a great roll model for him.

Glad you both got the book.

Deb - to answer your question, no I didn't follow it to a tee. I knew I wasn't going to fix all the dinner recipes it called for so I would eat a grilled, or baked, or boiled chicken breast with frozen veggies and a side salad. I knew I could do that. Or I used an app to find low carb meals in restaurants that were in my calorie range if I were eating out. I kept in my mind to eat mostly protein and veggies, no bread no pasta no rice. And really I enjoyed the sugar free jello. Lifesaver!!

It is a lot of food....you won't go hungry :)

I log everything here in my food tracker and rin the reports to gauge my daily progress.

The first three days were touchy for me and then it got much easier. Don't skip your snacks and try to space them smack in the middle of two meals.

Good luck and let me know how you're doing,

Jo

Hi Deb, I am also just starting this diet today. I read in the book that it is okay to interchange the meals as long as it's within the same 'phase' menus.

Hi Deb,

Yes, I have the book and I'm on day 10 of Phase 1. I am following the plan and tracking my food here. I haven't tracked any exercise yet. I'm going to start that with Phase 2. I have lost 3 pounds so far and it would probably be more if I exercised.

Have you started the Phases yet or are you just thinking about it? I hope we can help each other.

Jo
