Funny you would mention a pill. I thought this might work as I read your note. I like baby Lima beans (frozen type) cooked with lots of dill weed and rice.

I have to work on the tracking again

It figures that lima beans are high. That is one food I really, really don't like. emoticon

Today I'm planning on tuna, raisins and potatoes to help. Unfortunately I live in a remote place with one tiny grocery store so my supplies are limited.

Is it okay to add a potassium vitamin pill? I know its better to eat the good foods but maybe the vitamin could help? My multi-vitamin has no potassium.

the other day I spoke with a nurse she said it is really hard to get the recommended amount of potassium So I am just going to keep tracking and not sweat it. I do more potassium than I did in the past.

Are you including any of the following foods to reach your intake maximum?????

* Citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruits. One cup of orange juice contains 500mgs.
* Fish, especially halibut, tuna and flounder (all contain 400mg+ per serving)
* Beets, 1 cup of beets is approximately 15% of your daily potassium dose
* Bananas each contain 450mg of potassium
* Tomato or prune juice
* Honeydew melons
* Lima beans, 1 cup contains 1000mgs
* Baked potatoes contain nearly 900mgs

I'll be back with more if you need it!

For those of you who are getting your full mg of potassium per day, how are you doing it? Are there any "must have" foods? I'm consistently unable to get enough, even when potatoes, bananas and cantaloupe are part of my daily intake.
