That's using your head LUSCI. Though it can be done, it would be a hard path to follow. Easing into it will lead to a more sustainable experience.

I finally read through your other posts on the team and realize that just jumping in cold turkey from a standard diet was not the way to go.
You recommend other steps to take and teams to join to get ready for this. So I'm going to work my way up to your team. I will drop out for now and join you again when my body is ready to handle it.

Thank you for all your wonderful information on juice feasting!

Thanks for the info. When I said I was a newbie and needed help, I hoped someone point me
In the right direction. I have a slow intenet connection and I didn't realize when I was posting with juicers I would have to do all the research myslef frfom scratch.

I'm glad to have some informatioln now. My only day to go shopping is very late Thursday night, so I will see what I can do starting tomorrow if I can get to the store today. (I don't know if I have time).

I've also been wheatgrassing, and I don't know how that affects things.

Sorry for the spelling, posting from my smartphone.

I wish to join you in the 3 day juice feast. I have never done this before, but I thought 3 days was short enough to give it a shot. I have an older Vitamix, so that is what I will use. I also have an immersion blender, although I'm not sure if that will work.

Looking forward to starting tomorrow morning!

Thank you MFTAGGFREEZE for chiming in as a veteran. I also plan to go beyond the 3 days, it is a beginning for me.

TRILLIANTOO, I do understand that you are a newbie, when I proposed this feast it was based on the information already posted on this team, as well as I thought folks would research as well. This team has a tremendous wealth of information.

It appears that you want a plan - this is very basic and you must do some research as well:

Also note; since you do not have a juicer this link shows one how to juice with a blender:

&gr;link&lr;www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-9D
BOsD4-I&feature=related&gr;/link&lr;
&gr;link&lr;www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO7aUA
ixl0Y&gr;/link&lr;

Upon Waking up...

When you wake up, drink a room temperature glass of water with a squeeze of lemon. This is a great way to begin as it cleanses the intestines.

To stimulate your lymphatic system, body brushing followed by a hot shower, then a cool burst of water will help.

Breakfast

This is the time for the first drink of the day. Drink one glass (approx 32fl oz) serving, diluted. If you feel thirsty in the morning, drink water, a water with a squeeze of lemon/lime, or herb tea. Fruit juices are best digested in the morning, so opt for a fruit-only combination.

Attempt to get a a brisk walk. This will get all of your body systems moving, and will stimulate your body. It’s a great way to get exercise and some fresh air, too.

Lunch

Whenever your internal clock tells you it’s lunch, it’s time for your 2nd drink of the day. Drink another glass (32l oz) of your chosen recipe, diluted.

Again, if you feel thirsty in the afternoon, drink water, water with a squeeze of lemon/lime or herb teas. It’s also okay to consume more juice as a snack.

Dinner

This is the time to consume your 3rd drink of the day! Try to choose a vegetable combination here, but any favorite will be fine. Drink another 32oz glass, and if you feel thirsty, have some water or herb tea before bed.

Before bed

A nice Epsom salt/essential oil bath followed by a glass of water with a squeeze of lemon is a great way to end your day. Take time to relax and let your body finish cleaning out.

Here are some juice recipes that may be adpated for a juice feast:

Apple Carrot

2 apples

3 carrots

Core the apples. Juice the carrots and apple together for a fantastic cleanser.

Grapefruit OJ - Be careful as citrus does a strong, quick and powerful detox and it is not really something that I would recommend for beginners if they are very toxic

2 grapefruits

2 oranges

Peel the grapefruit and the oranges as the peel has some indigestible oils. The pilth is nutritional. Juice them together and drink immediately.

Apple Beet
1 beet (good for liver)
3 apples

Core the apples. Remove the tops from the beets. These can be juiced for added nutrition, but not necessary. Juice both together and drink immediately.

Pineapple Mango
half a pineapple
1 mango

Core and cut the rind off of the pineapple. Use half for juicing. Peel the skin off the mango, and remove the core. You may use two if you have them. Juice as usual and serve.

Carrot-Spinach-Celery

4 carrots
A small bunch of spinach
3 celery stalks (really good to get rid of excess water retention)

Cut the carrot tops off of your carrots, if necessary. Feed the carrots, spinach and celery together in the juicer, alternating. Serve immediately.

Apple Grape
2 apples
1 cup of grapes

Core the apples. Place the grapes and the apple into the juicer. Drink immediately. Sweet but delish, and cleansing!

Carrot Beet
4 carrots
1/2 beet

Cut the carrots tops off, if necessary. Cut the beet in half. Juice together and drink.

Carrot Celery Cucumber
3 carrots
2 celery sticks
½ cucumber
small bunch of parsley

Remove the tops from the carrots and cut the cucumber. Feed all the produce through the juicer and drink immediately.

Apple Cranberry Pear
2 apples
1 cup of cranberries
1 pear

Core the apple and the pear. Juice as usual and serve right away.

Carrot Beet Ginger
4 carrots
1 beet
1 small knob of ginger
1/2 lemon, rind ok

Remove the tops from the carrots. Cut the beet in fours for juicing. Juice the carrots, beet, ginger and lemon. Serve immediately.

Grapefruit Apple
2 grapefruits
2 apples

Peel the grapefruit and core the apples. Juice as usual. Serve.

Carrot Kale
5 carrots
2 kale leaves
small bunch of parsley

Remove the tops from the carrots, and feed through the juicer. Juice the kale and parsley. Drink immediately.

Pineapple Kale Mint
half pineapple, cored and skinned
2 kale leaves
1 handful of mint

Core the pineapple and remove the rind. Juice half of the pineapple along with the kale and mint. Serve.

Carrot Pear Ginger
3 carrots
1 pear
Small knob of ginger

Juice the carrots, cored pear and ginger. Serve.

Carrot Pepper Celery

2 carrots
1 red pepper
1 stick of celery
A bunch of watercress
2 parsley sprigs

Remove the inside of the pepper, cut in half. Juice the carrots, red pepper, celery, watercress and parsley. Serve immediately.

Cucumber Tomato Juice
1 cucumber
1 tomato
1 garlic clove, peeled

Cut the cucumber in fours. Cut the tomato in half. Peel the garlic. Juice together and serve immediately.

TRILLIANTOO.... I gathered the most information about engaging in a juice fast online.

I did a search for juice fasting/feasting and came up with a host of websites and informative articles on what to do before, during and after a fast.

It may be too late for this fast, but there will be others and you may decide to do one on your own.....either way there is a lot of information out there and it is easily accessible.

I read all I could and did my first fast earlier this year of 30 days. My primary green juice was the "green monster" from Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I started my day with lemon juice and water, had a fruity juice to start the day (melon, pear, apple, beet, grapefruit or whatever I had...), drank 2 green juices and another fruit juice during the day and ended with a fruit juice before bed. If I got hungry (thirsty - it is a juice thing right) I had another juice.

The basics of the fast are the same..... start right end right, make sure to drink your green juices..... the rest is according to the individual.

I am very sad. I cannot participate in this feast!

I was very much looking forward to doing this, but I am a complete newbie and still have zero information about what I'm supposed to be doing, what I'm supposed to be eating, or anything else that might be important for me to know in order to juice.

We are supposed to start tomorrow, but I don't even have enough information for ideas to go shopping!

So, I'm very disappointed but I can't do this.

The girls at work want to do this with me, but they won't be able to either, because we have no idea what we're doing, never haivng done this before.

Thanks! That's great!

Yes I do have a blender.

I'm very happy to get some help with this, I've been doing green drinks at work with veggie juice as the liquid, and also a lot of wheatgrass, and over the last couple weeks I'm finding more and more I have to be high raw vegan, and I lean more and more toward light and liquid foods.

(With my non-raw stuff it's things like vegan protein powder or green superfoods, stuff like that.)

I am up for the challenge. My longest juice feast was 30 days, in August last year, and it totally changed my life and my taste buds. I completed a 10-day feast two weeks ago and I know I can do this. Really looking forward to it.

Don't sweat the small stuff!
