I could relate to many of these posts.1- Nighttime eating.2 - I do well when I'm home but soon as I'm out among other people I want to eat whatever they are eating which is usually not healthy. 3- I guess the biggest obstacle is what (4cyndi) wrote, " I am my biggest obstacle." I too know chips, candy, hogies are not healthy but once I get a mouthful of these foods I continue to eat them!

Tired and stress eating. I *know* how to make it better but cannot manage to do what is to do, sigh. When I get tired I am famished and cannot stop eating!

Nighttime eating and snacking was a big problem of mine. I had to start planning for it. I started buying snacks that were healthy grab and go to get me out of the kitchen fast! Things like yogurt, string cheese, boiled eggs, chop veggies...

Life is happening now, not 10 pounds from now.
200 plus lbs lost without surgery, crazy diets, or extreme exercise- so have hope!

It may let me for a week or two and then it gets very angry and pushy.

Cravings. I have not had them in a long time, but I fear they will come back when I get to what I think is my "Set Point Weight." One day at a time.

One of my biggest obstacles is that thought 'I blew it' . Once I eat something sweet like cake or ice cream my body starts to beg and scream for more. So I cut sugar out most of the time. When I have some though, - usually in times of great emotional turmoil - I tend to think 'oh, I blew it, and I'll have those huge cravings, so I can't go back to avoiding sugar right away, it's too hard right now, I can't handle the intense emotions AND the cravings...'.
And then I'll eat more unhealthy foods for days before I can 'find the oomph' and the willpower to go back on my food plan.

Mostly myself. I get in my own way. I know chips, dip and candy aren't good for me, yet I chose to eat them all weekend rather than healthy real food.

Sweets - just seem to like those sweets. I know I can get along without them because during Lent I go the whole six weeks with NO sweets.
