Track for progress. Don’t let a few extra calories derail you.

From Livestrong.com

“A weight-loss rate of 1.5 pounds per week is realistic and falls within the expert-recommended range of 1 to 2 pounds per week. To lose 1.5 pounds a week, a caloric deficit is required. Since 1 pound of fat has 3,500 calories, you must create a daily deficit of 750 calories to reach a deficit of 5,250 calories in seven days. Integrating dietary changes and a regular exercise routine can help you lose weight.”

So think about it- eating an extra 100-200or even 500 calories upon occasion does not derail you so you have no reason to binge or blow it.

I've been off track for two weeks. The progress is that off track doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to. Stress and running short on sleep hasn't helped at all. Today is the last day of the spring 5% challenge, and I'm looking forward to a fresh start.

Have a wonderful time, Beth. I grew up in Chicago suburbs and every year my dad would take us to Brookfield zoo on his vacation. Some of my kids live down there and say the zoo is fantastic with all the improvements over the years. Have been to downtown Chicago many times growing up , but I never went to Navy Pier. Enjoy and safe travels

Only I can make it happen

I’m going to be vacationing this week- taking my new walker/wheelchair combo. That way I can walk as far as possible before I crash. Going to Chicago to see the play MACBETH at Navy Pier and Brookfield Zoo. My sweet hubby is taking me for my first walk on the beach since I’ve lost weight.

I have become more consistent with my exercise each day; attended pool for water aerobics today and yesterday.

I've noticed not doing exercises. Not even a 10 minutes!!. Have bad knees. Exercise makes them a lot less discomfort.

I want to make progress on moving more. I’m going to use my Fitbit and challenge myself to do better than the day before each time.
