Ooh, I've never thought of egg whites! I always assumed the protein was in the yolk! I love eggs but my doctor is worried about cholesterol so I only eat them once a week or so, but egg whites are fine! Thanks for the suggestion, I am definitely putting egg whites on my list. emoticon
And Azure-Sky, melted peanut butter?! How did I not know that was a possibility? I love spreading PB on apples but melted...oh man I am DEFINITELY trying that tonight!!
Thanks for all of the tips!!

Greek yogurt, Egg whites, and salmon burgers are good for me. I keep fillets of tilapia, salmon and swai in the freezer to saute in butter spray on a pinch. I sometimes do whey suppliments on days that I strength train.

Nuts, cheese, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, hummus, peanut butter or other nut butters, tuna, low-fat turkey, chicken breast, etc.

1 cup of plain non-fat Greek yogurt has 23 grams of protein. Pair it with some fruit, and a sweetener, and you've got a very good & filling snack. Look for a brand with no fillers, like Fage. Greek yogurt has as much protein as cottage cheese, but a lot less sodium - if that's an issue for you.

Slice an apple & microwave 1 or 2 TBSP of peanut butter until it's melted. Dip the apple slices in the peanut butter.

Add protein to your other meals, like hard boiled eggs or chickpeas/garbanzo beans - or other beans, to a salad.

Put plain Greek yogurt on a baked potato instead of sour cream.

Does anyone else have trouble reaching their daily goals? I especially struggle with the protein! There are times where I'll put in all my food for the day and it's 7pm and I've still got maybe 5 or 10g of protein needed and no idea how to meet it!
Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on some low-cal high-protein snacks that I can munch on at night when I'm thisclose to reaching my daily goals? (to make things a bit more complicated, I do not eat red meat.)
