I'm starting this group today. I've been at this for about a year. I started at 389 and today 308.6. I've had the ups and downs. I was sick about six months in the last year. Asthma, pneumonia and 3 surgeries. Everything's going good now and wanted to hit the ground running.

My first big goal is to be under 300 and stay there for my birthday on the 15th.

I see a lot of people doing this challenge and you are doing great. I hope I can do just as good as everyone of you. You are all number 1 in my book and I am sharing your story with my 15 year old daughter also so that she will know we are not the only people that want to get healthy too. Thank you each and everyone of you for your story to keep me going each and everyday.

It's a struggle for everyone here..... Each and everyone of us has their demons to face each and every day. I have several and sometimes they hit me at the same time. I try so hard sometimes to dig deep and push on. emoticon

Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I just keep tripping emoticon

Thanks Debbie. I've had to force myself to finish some workouts, and staying within my calorie range has been difficult some days, but I'm committed to sticking with the program and hoping that this gets easier as time goes on.

And along with the weight, I have lost the following inches:

Waist - 2 inches smaller
Hips - 3 inches smaller
Bust - 2.5 inches smaller
Thighs - 1.5 inches smaller each
Calves - 2 inches smaller each

That is a total of 11 inches lost in those 18.8 pounds.

Wow, God sure is putting on a fantastic display of beauty this morning!
Suns shining, birds are singing, the air is cool and crisp, the breezes are blowing, everything has been washed clean during the rain, and the sky's are blue and completely cloud free.....
What a great start to the week!

I managed to gain 2 pounds back last week. I can't say I wasn't irritated, disappointed, or angry with myself for letting life take me down again. I had an unbelievable week of stress with mom and as always, I turned to food as my comfort zone. My "go too" when life beats me down again and again. But with every set back I have I learn something new.....

So here is to a new week and new beautiful morning!

It's been a rough few weeks for me. Between traveling between Tacoma, WA and Anaheim, CA by train with grandkids, Disneyland, back to N. Calif, then back to the Bay Area, then to the mountains to work on our former rental house...well, weigh-ins were impossible and tracking was difficult. I WI on Saturdays and am down 3# this week to 217.6 from 220.6 last week. The awesome weather Iowa has been having is helping because I love to the walk the dogs outside when my bladder cooperates. Donna and Jeanne..... I hate to admit it but I have NOT been trying very hard the last 2 weeks. I could lay it all on my stress factors with mom but I am responsible for my actions so I need to step up my game and get busy! I did get on the scale this morning after I got up about 6 times during he night to potty and I was down 1 pound. That's a lot of fluid......

I'm not sure when I'll get on the scale again, but my pants are fitting better. The waist sat below my navel instead of above. They didn't pull across my derriere either.

I totally forgot to weigh..... will do tomorrow...... I honestly wasn't dreading it enough not to do it.... crashing from a mania though and things just slip my mind during recovery!

I have been MIA again..... Not doing well on the eating front although I'm moving so much I'm sore 24/7! I dread what the scale will say later this morning..... will post tomorrow as it's too early to weigh only 3:30 am on my body clock!

PJLYNCH - Might want to consider chair exercise! I have severe back problems and other issues and started with chair exercises and so far have dropped 71 pounds!

Losing weight is a struggle , but I keep thinking of all the rewards we will receive..
Looking good and having good health. Moving more freely. Someday being able to tie my shoes without having to catch my breath.

I would love to join this challenge. I have sciatic back pain, nerve damage in my left ankle and foot, and leg pain. I need to lose 50-60 pounds and have been really struggling. I am also so tired and never finish anything.
