Having internet problems is a major hassle. I've just been there myself, swapped providers three times, spent nearly a thousand bucks, and wound up going back to the original provider who sent a service man, who installed a new router. Problem not entirely solved as both computers are old and there are connectivity issues but at least I'm up and running-waddling again.

I can really empathize. We had to get a new router and modem because Comcast said that as of next Monday we would have no service because our equipment was so old it would no longer function when they flip the switch to upgrade their service. We had had our stuff for about 8 or 9 years but it all worked fine so... my motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

In any event, it was a stressful day for the young male in the household, trying to get it all hooked up. You can rent all the stuff from Comcast for $8/month, but you can drop a lot of money that way in less than a year and I am not interested in seeing how rich I can make them. So, it cost me $100 but the stuff is mine. It worked without too much trouble, but it was really stressful for me because Will and I are enrolled in an online statistics class and the final exam is in about three weeks. Also I couldn't keep up with Spark if I had no internet. Right after I started my evening cardio set, it crashed, and I was so stressed I had to stop because I was gasping and I had that awful feeling of an adrenalin surge that causes pain to shoot through your body. I felt really stupid for getting so upset, but I couldn't seem to help it. Finally, it just reset all by itself?? It crashed again for a moment about mid-nite, but now everything seems OK.

I sure hope things work out for you soon. I can imagine just how you feel, especially when things like Spark can be such a big part of your life. At least it's really important in my life. Good Luck and hurry back. We'll be here as someone else mentioned. Alyssa emoticon

PS: Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Keep moving and don't gobble gobble too much =)

Omgosh, it may not be the computer, it could be your browser. I have been fighting with mine for over a month now. I have held back from wanting to throw the laptop against the wall since I know a little about this stuff. But if the company I am with doesn't get up off their duff and get this issue fixed soon. I will be switching companies. Have you tried cleaning your cookies and running disk cleanup as well as defraging your computer. You may need to get a tech to walk you through a few of these cleanup processes to clean up space on your disk drives. There are a few ways to scan your computer to check your disks for errors and let the computer repair them as well. But if you are not computer savvy, I suggest you take it in for a clean up. All in All good luck with your PC

I am sorry about your computer problems. I have been so frustrated with my computer that I didn't get on SP much at all in the last couple of weeks. When my DH started having trouble with his we were really upset. We discovered it was the wifi in our park. After the manager rebooted us they have both been working like a charm!
Good luck with your situation.

So sorry you're having computer problems. I can certainly relate, been there, more than once. So frustrating! Hopefully you'll be up and running soon.

Meanwhile, hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Sorry to hear that. It may be time to have your computer checked out or upgraded. Don't give up on your journey though. You can still track your nutrition by writing your food down getting a calorie book and doing it by hand. Your exercise also. Don't stop using portion control or exercising. If you have a public library you can go there and still be on spark.

We will sure miss you!

Looking forward to when you can return.

I, too, get so frustrated with it also.

Hurry back,
Janet

I will not be taking part in the threads for awhile. I am having real bad computer issues and it is a real hassle to be on the threads. It has robbed me of all the joy of sparking and turned it into nothing but frustration. It has taken 32 minutes to write this so far. I wish everyone Happy Holidays.
