We can always begin again! Cyndi ~ life is full of pitfalls, emotional stuff and I believe learning not to beat ourselves up is a really important part of getting emotional eating under control. Love your Christmas tree picture!
Jessie ~ It is weird that we can eat healthy or not and seem to stay the same, for me I think continuing to track what I eat daily has helped a lot. I know subconsciously when I've had enough each day by keeping up with the nutrition tracker.
Have been out of town for a bit, Mom (86) had surgery so we went south to stay close. She did great and we're all thankful.
This is such a sad time for our country, the loss of children is never easy but to be lost in such a violent, senseless way is unconscionable. My heart goes out to the parents and families of those killed yesterday.

Its nice to see there are a few of us still here! Been a very tough year for me emotionally with some really tough changes in my life. And since I am an emotional eater I have not stayed committed to my plan and for right now I am taking things one day at a time and trying to deal with things as they come whether they be good bad or ugly. I do not beat myself for riding the roller coaster anymore but I do take responsibility for my actions and admit when something is not good.

Keep on sparking!!!

~Cyndi~

Life is only what you make of it!! It's time to make mine better!!!

Glad you had a good thanksgiving. Ours was good too. I've been the same as you with the maintaining. Been staying the same whether I eat healthy or not and whether I exercise or not. It is kind of frustrating and made me not care but I'm trying to get back to being healthier.

Sounds like you are restarting your efforts to be healthier, never a bad idea! I have been here all along but not so active. I am not exercising (mostly due to physical limitations but also laziness). I have maintained the weight loss for the past year so that's something. I would like to kick it into gear but lack motivation. We had a good Thanksgiving, I did more walking with the grandkids and their cousins than eating, totally missed the dessert (that's a first)! By the time we got back to the house I decided I didn't really "need" pie. Great to see you back here.

I will give it a shot. I haven't been using sparkpeople for probably close to 6 months now and I decided yesterday that today I"m going to start being healthier so I thought I would log back on here and try again. How have you been doing? I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Ours was great had some company come visit. I made the best holiday meal I think I've ever made. emoticon

Nope, I'm not doing any better unfortunately. We've had lots of rain so no bike riding, plus watching the grandkids often, we have to skip our rides. I haven't been very motivated either, I'm trying to get jump started but it's not happening. This is a busy week, our son finished the police academy today ~ he graduates Friday night. I'm trying to get my Mom up from St. Pete to attend, she'll be 86 in a few weeks and isn't doing so great so travel is difficult for her. She has memory loss so her life can be confusing. I am working on getting her up here since it would mean a great deal to our son, and I want her to meet her great grand daughter. Life tends to be busy and I lose my focus but I have intentions of getting back on track soon. Hope you and the kids are enjoying summer break, I use to have themes each year when the boys were growing up. One year it was rating playgrounds in the entire county. The next it was bike riding while collecting aluminium cans, at the end of the summer we cashed them in for a trip to a water park. It kept them from being bored and gave us a purpose on those lazy summer days.

Glad we both made it through Beryl. I really need to get back into gear with exercising. My parents came to visit like 3 weeks ago and that through me off track. Then the kids got out of school so when I usually jog after they get on the bus I've slacked cause I don't have to be up and out of the house. Now yesterday I did do a short video which is a step in the right direction but I'm having trouble finding motivation today. Hope you are doing better.

We made out fine through Beryl, thanks for asking! Lots of rain but we really needed it. Some winds, but nothing too severe. I heard tree limbs crashing down a couple times in the woods but haven't walked the trails yet to see where. We live in a forest area so the limbs are a regular occurance after a dry spell followed by winds & heavy rains. Sorry to hear about your friend, that does stink. We saw some tree damage & flooding when we went to town yesterday but nothing too bad. Heard on the radio there was a twister or small tornado in a nearby state park that took down trees in the afternoon yesterday.

Good morning. How are you making it through Beryl? We didn't get too bad where I'm at. Lots of rain and wind but not really much damage. My neighbor had a few plants that got snapped. I do have a friend living in Fl though who had a 2 tree branches fall on her car and bust out the back window and cracked the front one. Really stinks for her. Well hopefully you're doing ok.

I love the things kids say too! When we're not being amazed by our 5 yr old grandson, we're in awe of the new baby. Life is good.
I had a pedometer when I worked because I moved so much all day, but it fell in the commode because I was in a hurry and wasn't aware of it being on my waistband. LOL!
My DIL gave me one she had but it was pretty old & not very accurate. I picked one up at Publix on the clearance rack, it was under $10. but digital, accurate and has a cover. I really like it but now I just have to remember to wear it!

that is so cute. how adorable. I love when kids say cute things like that.
I have found that if I wear a pedometer I move more. I always try to get my 10,000 steps a day. My problem is my pedometer gets bumped and resets itself and it ticks me off. I used to have a weight watchers one that had the buttons on the top not the sides so it didn't reset but I can't find one like that anymore.

How is your motivation going? Mine has been lacking the past few weeks. Need to get back in gear. My biggest problem lately is iced mocha's. It just got hot out and I love iced coffee. At least I'm getting my calcium right? I'm not big on milk so that's where I get most of mine. My kids had their last day of school today. I officially have a middle school student. I'm a little freaked out about that. eeekkkkk.

I've been working on motivation, did good today, heavy duty cleaning, washed the dog, then went for a bike ride.
Time to relax.

Thanks, we are really enjoying the new baby & her big brother! Our grandson told his Mom they should keep the baby because she is perfect! He has a little boy in his daycare who also had a baby recently but wants them to take her back so I guess we're lucky he loves Caitlin!

Fishing was great, went to a pretty place & relaxed while enjoying being outdoors.

Great on the half pound a week loss, at least you're going in the right direction! I'm working on moving more & eating less now that the weather isn't cold anymore.

Have a great weekend!

Congrats!!!!! That's so wonderful you have a new granddaughter. Wow that's a lot of driving everyday. I find that exhausting so you def deserve a day off.

I'm slowly chugging along. Losing around half a pound a week. Slow and steady wins the race right? Well have a great day fishing. Congrats again.

We welcomed our beautiful new granddaughter (Caitlin Danielle) into the world Sunday night. Have been busy with her big brother & running two households until our DIL came home. Driving 120 - 225 miles a day so we're ready for some down time. Taking the day off to go fishing.

Hi ~ It's not really going anywhere at the moment. Seem to be stuck. Haven't lost any additional pounds in a couple months, just gain & lose the same 2-3 lbs. over & over. I am starting to bike ride again but have been putting it off a lot when the weather is rainy or I'm tired (lazy)! Hope to find motivation now that the weather is warmer. Patiently awaiting our grand daughter's arrival, our DIL is due the 26th, we've had 2 "trial runs" to labor & delivery....only to be sent home. Other than that life is pretty calm overall.

Hello. How is it going? I keep going through phases where I post on boards a lot then don't post on much any for a month. I thought I'd be at my goal by now too but no such luck. I'm with you just chugging along. Slow and steady wins the race right? If I average it out I'm losing like 2 lbs a month. Geez at this rate it'll take me another year to be where I'd like.

How's everyone else doing?

Good morning SP Class of August 28- September 3, 2011! Thought I'd meet my original goal by now but "not so much"! I am still working on it though and that's important. I didn't add "real life" into my plan so I'm making adjustments along the way. The one thing that makes me feel good ~ I'm sticking with it. This is not a temporary thing, it's a lifestyle so I am on track and chugging along. How's everyone else doing?

Hope everyone is having a successful day! You're right Jessie, I also feel better when I'm back on a regular routine of riding 3 x's a week and plan to add some other exercise as soon as I get motivated. LOL! Great that you have a neighbor to exercise with, it does help. My husband rides with me and we're both working on healthier eating. Yesterday our exercise was marathon shopping...that does count for exercise right? I parked far from the stores at least! LOL! Have a good weekend!

That's great you started bike riding again. Something is always better than nothing. I managed to get to zumba today. Wasn't going to go but forgot my neighbor wanted to try it with me and since I already told her I was going I couldn't back out. Thank goodness for that cause I feel so much better now. I think she liked it enough she wants to go back so I'll have a Zumba buddy again. That always makes me do more. I didn't really realize until today that I really quit exercising when my previous workout buddy had some personal issues and quit going to zumba and walking with me. It's so much more motivating when you have a friend to go with. That and my ipod broke. So new fitness friend and I need to get a new mp3 player and maybe I'll be back in motion. Even when I was working out a lot I wasn't losing weight but at least I felt better and had more energy. Ok I keep rambling on today. Here's to a successful day!

It sounds like you're in the same place as I am, not motivated but not giving up...Yeah for us! LOL!!! I think as things settle a bit I'll get back to trying more, just not motivated. I guess it's good we've learned to maintain already. I figure as long as I don't go back to the less healthy life style I'm still ahead of the game! I just have to figure out how to get motivated again! We did start back bike riding so that's something. Hang in there, we'll be successful!

Most of the food ended up being fried. I tried a small amount of what they had. I didn't go overboard. I'm the same as you. I haven't been losing anything but not gaining either. Guess we figured out how to do our maintenance before we needed to. I'm sticking with it cause it's better than gaining but still frustrating that I'm not losing. Seems like I can eat healthy and exercise and have no change or eat and eat and only exercise one day a week and stay the same. So frustrating. Guess I'm just not motivated enough.

We did get some bad rain. Not as much as was anticipated though. We've had a lot of tornado watches this year so far. All the rain this past week though has made everything start to grow. It's about time now to mow the grass for the first time. I had to spread for fireants this past week too.

I haven't been on Sparkpeople much either, except to track nutrition & fitness. I'm not making any progress but not gaining either so I'll stick with it. Hope you found something not fried to eat Jessie! Heard the weather up your way was pretty intense yesterday. Take care!

Sorry I haven't posted lately. My challenge finished so I hadn't been getting onto sparkpeople except to track. Not that it's been doing me any good. Well I can't say that. I haven't had any success on the scale but I can tell I have more energy and just overall feel better. So at least that's something. I'm thinking about checking out my church's fish fry tonite. I haven't gone to it here yet so I'd like to see if its good. Hopefully there are some non fried options. Have a great day.

Yesterdays bike ride cancelled due to rain. Did get lots of walking in while shopping so that's something. Stayed within my Nutrition tracker amounts. Not very motivated today, maybe a nap is in order.

Still at it! Had sinus problems, swelling and a temporary 3 lb. weight gain but starting to feel better and got in a bike ride Monday, plan to go again today. The 3 lbs. seems to have left, I just don't go by my scale too trustingly, I think it has major inaccuracy issues!

The weather sure has been weird, teens the other morning, 65 today when I went out at 8 am.
We've had a few busy days so today is going to be a lazy one, plus it's rainy.
Had a nice Monday, we went to lunch and did an early Valentine's Day. Shopped most of the day, found some nice candles, I burn them all the time.
Picked our grandson up from daycare since his mommy was going home early, she's due in April & is working 6 days - it happens this time every year since she works at an insurance co.
This year is hard on her so she's asking her OB/GYN for a note today excusing her from Saturdays. Our son is in the police academy so it's hard for him to leave during training, plus we're retired so we help out as needed.
It was nice to have a mid-week visit with our grandson, we usually have him on the weekend. We kept him a few hours, took him home at bedtime fed, bathed and spoiled a bit!
Hope the rain holds off so we can get a bike ride in, really need to get back on track!

It was crazy how cold it was this morning. It said 21 when I took my kids to the bus stop. Yesterday morning it froze the pipes at the church. Must have had some pipes exposed somewhere. But so funny when that happens here. I'm from Pa originally so I don't think about pipes freezing unless its around 0. But it wasn't buggy 2 days now so I'm happy. Actually got to go outside with my kids.

I didn't do that great this weekend. Didn't really limit how much I ate. Went a little over my range but I'm hovering at the same weight so I'm ok with that. However I really need to get in gear with the exercising. I haven't really done anything in 2 weeks. I got sick and then never got back in the habit. I really need to though. I was kind of being obsessive with it and then bam nothing. What's weird though is I quit exercising and started losing weight. I don't feel nearly as good though. Less energy and in a much worse mood overall. Need to make myself go to zumba tomorrow. Get back into it.

So did your Monday go well? Do anything good for yourself even if it was small? I was proud of myself I made my kids cookies to take to school to give out for Valentines Day and I only ate one. Usually I have like 6. Cookies are my downfall.

Doing anything for Valentines? Im cooking lasagna for some neighbors. So we are having a pasta night.

Yes, maintaining is way better than gaining, just want to get motivated again. My goal today is to stay warm! Can't believe it got to 18 degrees this morning, am I really in Florida?? It's the end of a short cold wave so tonight should only go to the 30's. I did "not too much" the past few days, need to get motivated again, I do better when it's not so cold. So how did you do this weekend?

Hey maintaining is still good. Way better than gaining. Out of the 6 months I've been on this site I've lost for 2 of it and maintained for the rest. I did do really bad yesterday so gotta get my butt in gear today. My plans for today are hopefully to go walk with a friend and then go to the store. U?

Hey Jessie, great on the 1.4 lb. loss!!! Sounds like you're back on track. I still need to increase my activity level & drink more water so I can start to loose again. I'm practicing maintenance for now, at least I haven't gained any pounds back! Enjoy the day!

The love bugs don't bother me so much. Last year when we had a yard sale they were everywhere though. All through our clothes and stuff. It's the gnats that get me. Had to open my windows when I cooked dinner last night cause it got kinda smoky and I was swatting at them all night then. Grrr. Well I weighed in today. Lost 1.4 pounds. Yay! I'm excited about that. Well off to the store. Have a good day.

Yes, I'm in N. FL and we have the love bugs already this year, never saw them in the winter before. It's funny but on May 1st they appear and again in September. We sometimes run into a swarm of gnats on our bike rides, but it hasn't been too bad lately.

You're i Fl right? I'm in southern Ga and the weather has been super nice lately. Unfortunately its been warm and damp so the gnats are in full force. It's not always bad at my house but when I go places a little closer to the swamps its absolutely horrible. That kinda makes it no fun to go outside. Other than that I'm loving the weather and spending more time outside chasing my kids around.

Hi. I'm still here. I hope you get the pesky pound to stay away soon. I finally lost 1.8 pounds last week. Wohoo. That's the first I had lost anything since November so I was excited about that. Not doing as great this week so far but hoping to turn that around today. I'm gonna eat better go for a walk and tomorrow I'm going back to Zumba. I've been a slacker and haven't went there in a week.

Hi....is anyone here??? LOL! I'm still plugging away and fighting the same pound(it comes & goes) but intend to be more active and get back on track. I will eventually lose it and some others because I'm more stubborn! How's everyone else doing?

Starting to get results again, finally! Since vacation in October, then the holidays, followed by a sinus infection and a pulled muscle, I didn't see any downward movement on the scale. I just hung in and decided I'd get back on track and it seems to be happening finally. It's only 1 pound but it feels great. Hope everyone is having success!

Well I stayed in my calorie range today. Wahoo. Major victory I've been going slightly over like everyday lately. I think my biggest problem was not having good snacks in the house. I'd be dying for something sweet and end up baking cookies and eating half the batch. I do much better if I have kettle corn to eat and dark chocolate bars. Hopefully tomorrow I stay in range too and then I'll have some momentum built up and can stick with it. My other plan is to start walking again. I have only been going to zumba b/c it's more fun than walking alone but I think I have some people to walk with now so I need to get back into that too.

Looks like we're needing to get back on track here! I plan to get back to drinking more water, I've slacked off with the colder weather. Also get in more physical activity, made plans to have out 4 yr. old grandson over for the weekend, that'll burn some calories!!! What's everyone else doing to get back on track?

I'm right there with ya guys! I kicked SparkBUTT when I first started, but feel like I've been on the world's longest plateau since then. As self-reflection, I am not as motivated as I was when I first joined. But I feel good about the fact that I'm not gaining either.

Jessie, I'm not doing so great either, I am trying to get restarted but seem to have too much interference. I had a nasty sinus infection, then as that started clearing up I pulled a back muscles. I'm taking it easy and sticking to the Nutrition tracker but am not getting enough protein or water most days. No way can I ride my bike or do the gazelle right now but I'm gong to try to work them back in starting tomorrow. I'm not giving up, it's just going to take a bit longer than planned. At least I'm not gaining, that's something.

Pat, I too like seeing how others are doing that started when I did. However I'm really not doing too great. I do good for a few weeks then plateau for a few months and do it again. You'd think after 4 1/2 months I'd have lost more than 12 lbs. Well nothing to do other than try to do good today.

Looks like this thread is pretty inactive. I liked being able to check in with others who started at the same time I did. It helps to see the commonality of each journey and to discuss the pitfalls along the way. I'll stop in from time to time. Pat

Good morning, I agree with "not gaining 10 pounds in December to be great progress", tough month! It wasn't just all the food during the holidays, I did okay with that, but a combination for me of the weather being too cold, not drinking enough water and allergies. When the weather changes from hot to freezing to hot, my sinuses act up, motivation goes way down. I also have been stuck with the weight loss, as soon as I can breathe again and not get exhausted from these allergies I will hit it with increased exercise.
My diet hasn't changed much from when I was losing 2 lbs. a week but my daily fitness and water intake is way down. I was walking everyday and bike riding 3x's a week. I need to use the fitness equipment when I can't get outdoors, when it's cold or rainy.

lol...you are totally right. December is a rough month for everyone. I haven't lost a thing since early November so today I downloaded everything I ate for the month and a half that I lost every week into a spreadsheet. I'm going to try to eat similarly to what I did then and hopefully get my momentum back. Turns out I was eating a lot of sandwiches and salads and sticking to popcorn as a snack. Hope that works again.

What was everyone else eating when they were losing weight consistently?

Hi everyone! I haven't checked in on this team in a long time. I apologize for that. Been spending most of my time on here in my biggest loser challenge team. Unfortunately I haven't lost anything over the holidays. I'm back on track now though.

How has everyone been doing? Hopefully doing well.

Good morning! Yes, still chugging along, about the same rate as Jessie, lose a pound one week, nothing the next. I am not exercising enough, need to get started on that seriously but it just isn't happening at the moment. You're right Jessie, boring can be good for you, by not eating the greasy, fatty foods I'm able to prevent the scale from going in the wrong direction at least.
Jessie, being away during the holidays can be tricky but trying to stick to your challenge should help some. The most important thing is to have a good time - oh, and stay warm!

VSG, I'm slowly chugging along losing a pound a week then nothing a week then maybe another one the next week. A little at a time. I've been thinking the same thing you are about being able to maintain even though I'm not ready too but it makes me feel better to know that I can stay the same when I finally do get to where I'm going. Staying the same is better than gaining at least

Pat, I think that choosing something healthier at a restaurant is something to be proud of. It's so easy to go in and order something greasy and bad for you. Sometimes boring is better. Keep it up.

I'm starting a 10 week challenge tomorrow so I'm hoping that helps keep my motivation up some. Not sure how well it will go when I'm out of town but I'm hoping when I get back it does. I guess we will see. Well Happy Hump Day everyone!

Hey guys- You all still hanging in there? I'm a little bummed with myself as I haven't made a ton of progress this last month. I guess it's good to prove to myself that I can maintain, but I have quite a way to go before I should be shooting for a long-term maintaining. Hope everyone else has been kicking butt!

Hello, finally getting time to check in. Haven't been so great with eating healthy this weekend, my husband gravitates toward fast food & I get distracted and grab something in a hurray which is usually not the best choice. I prefer to eat at home but he gets cranky when he's hungry so we've been eating out a lot. Today we went to a mexican restaurant, I had them leave off the sour cream, cheese and basically ended up with lettuce & grilled chicken strips. It was a little boring but I felt better about the calories and fat that way, plus I brought half home for dinner.
Jessie, I don't miss the snow either, it's fun for the kids at Christmas but I hated driving in it. I'm sure it'll be great to visit with your family despite the weather. Hope you have a great week in Pennsylvania!

Good morning! It's good to see you have most of your shopping done. I have most of mine done too but you are a step ahead of me because I have nothing wrapped yet at all. Doesn't help that half of my presents are in Pennsylvania so I didn't have to take them with us and shove them in the car. It just seemed easier to mail them to my Mom's house. We are going home for Christmas. I'm very excited to see all of my family but not so thrilled about going to a place with cold weather and lots and lots of snow. I'm not the biggest snow fan. Oh well I dealt with it for long enough I'm sure I can make it a week.

Well have a great week everyone. Keep tracking.

Good morning! Yesterday was pretty busy, made time to have lunch with a friend, do a little shopping and got home in time to load up the bikes and go for a ride on the bike trail. Today I'm taking stock of gifts already purchased and what we still need. Mostly shopped in Aug & Sept so not too much left to do. Also wrapped a good bit earlier so I'll have to peek because I forgot what some of the things are. So much for Christmas shopping early!!!! I should have written down as I wrapped but our grandson was coming so we just put initials on the corners to get it done fast. 3 steps forward, 5 steps back....seems to be what I do! Today is full but at a more leisurely pace.
Jessie, are you going home for Christmas?
Hope everyone is having a good Friday!

Pat, Wow you ran out of room in your planner? I'd say you had a busy day. I hope it all went smoothly for you. I don't know how you are but the busier I am the less I mindlessly eat. Will tomorrow be a less hectic day for you? So hard to have a quiet day though this close to the holidays. I really need to take stock of what I have done so far and what all I need to do yet. We are going to be traveling in a little over a week so I really need to get in gear and get everything together for that. Have a good evening everyone!

Good morning everyone!
Nice to see you back Jessie, this is such a busy time of year for everyone but you're right...it does help to maintain the support during this hectic period of time.
Paula, not running to food is a big step, sounds like you have easier days ahead now. I think if we continue to focus on changing those triggers or our reactions to events that trigger unhealthy behaviors we can keep on track more often.
Lee Ann, great on the 4 lb loss, it has to be even more satisfying since it occurred over the holiday!
I'm off & running again today...guess I'm too busy if I ran out of room on my daily planner today, sure would be nice to have a clone!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on here lately. I've only gotten on here to track my food and exercise. I'm going to get back into the message boards though. I do much better when I'm more involved.

Lee Ann, Congrats on losing 4 lbs through the holidays!!! That is so great. Keep up the great work.

Pat, Good job getting the water in. That's so important and the thing a lot of people forget about or slack off doing.

Paula, Did your highlights turn out good? I miss getting mine done. Anyways....I read your blog and you are doing a great job!

Oh and as for my goals for the week (I know the week is half over now but better a late start than never) I have really been slacking with everything the past few days so I need to
-clean my house
-catch up on laundry
-mail my Christmas cards

food wise
-limit myself to one small sweet a day (usually a square of dark chocolate)
-eat 2 veggies a day (I have major trouble with this)

exercise
-make it to zumba 2 more times this week

Keep up the good work everyone.

-Jessie

Bitter cold in North Texas. The dogs' water dish outside is a frozen mini-pond and there was 5" snow west of the DFW area.

Went to the gym this morning, put water bottle on the seat of the car, sat in really cold water on the commute to work and am now wearing wet pants. ugh. Note to self: drink the water, don't wear it.

I made it through the holidays and lost 4 pounds (yea!) and am in the lead at work for The Biggest Loser challenge with 28 pounds lost so far and 39 until goal.

From previous experience, I know my motivation to keep losing weight will disappear after I lose another 20 pounds, so if anyone can recommend a good blog on keeping the spark going, I would appreciate it!!

Good morning....
Busy week, haven't been on the computer as much. Have been working on drinking the 8 glasses of water daily, doing better with that and it seems to be helping.
Paula, sounds like you're on the right track. You've had some good insights from your blog to help stay positive.
Well, off & running again today, hope everybody has a good day! Pat

Hi all...

I worked last night, all night, unplanned...ugghhh...oh well, it's xmas $$

So, I have slept alot of today...just having a tea..gonna get my tree up shortly, then off to have my highlights done on my hair...pedicure yesterday afternoon..oh ya baby!! My reward for the progress I have made..I had a new realization yesterday, that got affirmed last night at work so I blogged about it..that despite being down last week and unmotivated (rightfully so), I did not really run to food. In discussing how I have been making out with my co-worker, I realized the many changes I have made, lifestyle changes, the good ones ya know, that I have managed since starting this journey in September...

And I have to thank my SP friend, Barbie, for your encouragement on the previous blog, where my motivation had left the building, and I was asking for help, for telling me how strong I was for actually acknowledging my needs...maybe by asking, and receiving 10-fold (many thx to you all for your support), that that is why I didn't have to run to food...

Gotta love these epiphanies

Hi All!

Pat, you sound very motivated these days, and really enjoying your bike!

So...I took the weekend off, but still did fairly well...we were at our first Xmas party, and I limited my alcohol to 2 drinks, stayed away from the appetizer grazing table (wow!), ate healthy at work yesterday for 12 hrs, and did not snack at night...so, although I was not counting, I have made some changes....

Today is Monday, and time to stop wallowing and get back in the groove...my goal today is 8 glasses of water, even if it kills me! emoticon

What are your goals for today? or this week? anyone want to put it "out there" for all to see?

Still having lows in the 30's here in N FL, but the daytime temps in the 60's are great! Got a bike ride in yesterday and have been busy cleaning, organizing etc. these past few days. Today is shopping and other errands so that'll get us out & moving early.

Paula, glad you like the hints topic - I thought it would be helpful to all of us if anybody has ideas when we get stuck or unmotivated. Hope your spirits are getting lifted a bit each day, spending time with a horse would probably do it for me, love horses!

Jessie, read about your bus stop moment with the visiting grandmother, it is nice to get compliments when people notice the change in us. Way to go!

Hope everyone has a good today! Pat emoticon
