8 lbs so far! Getting together with neighbors always seems to gravitate to food events! emoticon I'm getting to be known as the salad and veggie lady! So much temptation.

I was excited that I lost 6 pounds in my first week. Then I stalled a bit when I had events to go to three days in a row. But I was able to maintain and not gain any back. Now this morning I weighed in at 249.8. I don't remember the last time I was under 250. I am stoked!

God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or use it for good. What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes this day will be gone, forever leaving in its place something I have traded. I want it to be gain, not loss; good, not evil, in order that I may not regret the price I paid.

Thank you! I feel that this website has made such a difference! So much better than doing it on your own...there are thousands of us out there trying to achieve the same goal. Congrats to everyone...Thanks for the comments. emoticon

Congratulations to the 4 pound weight loss.
I never thought I would have lost 6.8 pounds in a week, but with tracking my meals, exercises, and drinking plenty of water. I haven't felt hungry during the day. Since switching from regular milk to soy milk, I don't miss regular milk at all. Congratulations to everybody else on their weight loss as well.

Congrats everyone!! emoticon

I just stepped on the scale out of curiosity before taking a shower and to my surprise I've lost my first .5 kg! (That's around 1 lb, right?). I just didn't expect to see a change this fast, I'm very motivated to keep it going.

I've lost 1 lb. since 7/21/11. I know it's not huge or anything, but I've kinda been doing 20 minutes aerobics every day since the first week of June (Minus 1 week of vacation) and I've been tracking my calories and working on daily steps (although I moved my goal from 5k, to 7k) and I've been drinking 8 glasses of water or more per day for a few years. I am still happy about my 1 lb. I actually lost 6 lbs. since I made up my mind in June to lose weight because I couldn't fit in a roller coaster seat and got utterly humiliated in front of my husband and son when I had to be asked to move back to the fat people's seat and that was tight. 1 lbs. in 4 days is an excellent pace in my opinion and it's a healthy way to lose weight and keep it off by making these small changes that are sticking.

My weight likes to bounce around quite a bit on me, but I know I am improving because my step goals are getting easier to accomplish and exceed, I can do more on my exercise videos and drinking water is like second nature to me. I'm also making a real attempt to choose fruits and nuts and granola as snacks over potato chips, chocolate, and sugary sweets.

I hope we can both post huge success stories at this time next year because of the small changes we make now and in the days and weeks to come =)

Has anyone else lost more than they expected during Fast Break? I started last Thursday, and though I've been drinking my water, tracking faithfully and being a LOT more aware of what I eat (which I think is what's making the difference), I hadn't been able to exercise much at all. I thought that I might see one pound's difference this morning (haven't weighed myself since last Monday anyway and it was only half a week) but somehow I lost 4 pounds without doing anything hard-core crazy. I never felt starved, never felt tooo stressed out about figuring out healthy eating-out options (even having a date night with my fiance on Friday and a baby shower and concert to go to on Saturday), and tooootally didn't meet my 7000 steps a day goal any day except Friday.
Just had to say.... WOW! This is kind of awesome, and I sooooo hope that those 4 pounds won't come back!

Anybody else having success in the first week or need encouragement?
