Making some juice this morning! Tried juicing many years ago- 28 yrs, wow time flies! Juice is much tastier and more refreshing than I remember. emoticon Bought a bunch of bananas and apples yesterday. My favorite snacks!

I am not even close to being 100% raw. Right now I'm just incorporating more raw foods and trying new recipes. Bought myself the book, "Becoming Raw." Lots of good information!

So the farmer's market opened back up over the weekend but my favorite organic farm had very little to offer. Perhaps too early in the season? I don't know. Very few greens, no radishes, no beets, only 1 kind of lettuce, no large tomatoes...only grape tomatoes that had been picked too early. It was kind of disappointing. Hopefully things will improve.

I went to the International Curry Fest on Saturday so there was very little raw food in my weekend. I've done three stints at 100% raw over the past few years and the longest I maintained it was 6 weeks. I always feel great when I'm doing totally raw so it makes no sense to me that I fall off that particular carrot truck. I just start to crave the comfort of a hot meal and give up.
I totally agree with you, CrystleLynn, about it being a healthier way to eat. I'm shooting for an 80% raw life style change and once I get it to stick then perhaps I can edge it up towards 100%. Currently, I do eat heavily raw during the weekdays, but not so much on the weekends.

Somehow I've gotten WAY off base. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to embrace "raw" like I'd like to. The bad thing is I truly believe it to be healthier. Not even just raw, vegetarian in general.

My daughter isn't interested in raw either. She will eat salad, but she wants to load it up with vegetarian chick'n, cheese, croutons, and ranch dressing. Takes the "healthy" right out of it!

The food you posted looks amazing. I back tracked a lot on vacation this week with my husband. I'm trying to work my way back to more raw. Nobody around me is remotely interested in eating raw. I have enough trouble getting my guys to eat a salad. emoticon

I would like to see more activity here as well. I am not 100% raw either, but that is my goal. My daughter and I ate at a new raw restaurant in St. Petersburg yesterday, Cider Press Cafe. It was so good and reminds me that all the prep work it takes to make raw crackers and breads and nut cheeses is totally worth it!

Awesome! I'm not 100 percent raw either. My goal as of right now is to be about 80 percent. There are warm vegetables that I really don't see myself giving up forever. I think the more raw tricks that I learn the easier it will be. I made raw carrot cake cupcakes yesterday and I am in love. Talk about a neat treat. That is one of the neatest things to about eating raw. It is fun to tell my friends I had chocolate ice cream for breakfast or lunch. emoticon

Having battle eating orders most of my life I also like being able to actually eat in abundance. And know that the food is healing not hurting my body. There are days I still think wow, this is too much food but calorie wise it isn't even close.

I love being active. The one thing that I'm learning is that not all vegetarians are super skinny. My body likes the weight it is now. emoticon So I'm learning to love me. I started this journey to be healthy and lost my way along the way at one point. It became about being thin and I was. But I wasn't the strongest healthiest me I could be.

Thanks for adding me as your friend and I'd love any ideas you may have to make this group encouraging, fun and a great place to share.

Yes, I'd love to see this team much more active. I'm not 100% raw, but I eat a lot of raw and know a lot about raw food cuisine.
